The young lad that served us was extremely knowledgeable about the product that we wanted to purchase, needed to have delivered to the shop he did the order and was most helpful in the process.

Very good service
I purchased from the 3 for £66 vinyls and I ordered it on Wednesday night. It was there by the following Monday. They also did very well placing the package in my safe space which I requested

Turntable worked well as expected on my older stereo. Only issue was with recording via USB. The unit didn't like my older flash drive but with new 32GB one all was fine and easy to use.

To be truthful i forgot how the interaction of going into the store and puchasing stuff. Since covid ive been sucked into the easy way of going online and purchasing from the big old corperation that does not pay tax properly so recently decided that will wait till i have a few thing i want and visit my local hmv , lakeside thurrock branch where the staff have always been friendly and helpful and spend my money there, thankyou

Victor was amazing. Love the new store location.
Staff were amazing, especially Victor.
Helped me locate a vinyl and also order a CD for collection.
In-store collection a few days later was both quick and easy.
The new location of the store near to M&S (opposite Robert Dyas) is much better too.

Felt ripped off by Thurrock store…
Felt ripped off by Thurrock store following an exchange item on a specific deal, and had to pay extra than what I should have paid.
Following this issue I contacted the online orders asking to amend a collection from the store to home delivery, and was advised that they will not amend any order, so hate shopping at HMV now.

Launch day game - terrible delivery
Ordered a game on launch day (Friday morning). Chose to do click and collect to local store as expected it to be the fastest way of getting my product, and took the following week off work to enjoy the game. It was dispatched on Saturday morning and stated 2-3 business days which was rather disappointing.
On Sunday I visited the store as had hoped it would either have arrived there by then, or I could collect from store stock. I was told as the store had recently moved all deliveries were on hold for a week or more and to come back in a week if I'd heard nothing, literally no interest or concern from staff. I raised this outstanding order with customer service online on Weds as had heard nothing, and was told no games are held stock in any stores, and products are collected from a central warehouse by a third party courier, there is nothing that can be done once dispatched so I just had to wait. No alternatives were given.
Eventually I received the email to collect my product the following Friday afternoon, so it took over a week to receive a launch day game. Very disappointing, will not be purchasing from HMV again for time sensitive items.
