We had never booked with an independent agent before. We had always booked by researching a resort/hotel reading reviews etc then finding a company offering the holiday (with our wants) at a suitable price. Last year we booked in store atour local Hays branch as we were doing a much more expensive long haul trip for our 30th anniversary and wanted it to be special. . Have to say we were not terribly impressed with our experience. Weren't offered the alternative options on Kuredu (booked into main resort but there were two others O and Sangu). Had an amazing time but if we'd have been offered an alternative we probably would have chosen one of them as it was 'a once in a lifetime trip'. We were never told if exactly behat our 'package' included it was only because I found a face book group I found out more information. We weren't informed of a flight change we only discovered it after going in store to make our final payment. So our overall experience with hays wasn't a positive one. As I say the holiday was amazing but we had said we wouldn't use hays again. Until this trip. Already the experience is so much better. We already have more information and only booked yesterday. Jamie did the research for us and found a few different islands for us to look at and they looked lovely. So I would say so far so good. I think the pre holiday 'bit' is going to be so much better than last year's experience. Just one problem I can think of and that is I don't want to wait 7 months until we get there!!!!
