Lies lies and more lies
Hayfield Homes have left the development in a poor state and consistently failed to address ongoing issues. They excavated a hole at the road entrance, blocking the pavement and causing damage that has now spread across the road. Despite repeated reports over more than two years, the customer care team either ignores correspondence or provides misleading responses. Based on this experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid.

Buying our Hayfield Home
We began our new home journey with Claire from the sales team at Hayfield Homes, and from the very start she was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive after we discovered the Hayfield Gardens development in Toddington. Although we were sad to see her move on to another site, she left us in the very capable hands of Laura and Libby, who continued to guide us brilliantly.
Like many home-buying experiences, our journey had its stressful moments, and a few challenges continued after we moved in. However, we would like to say a big thank you to Hayfield Homes, and especially to Claire, Laura, Libby, Shaun, and Mark for their support in getting us settled and for working hard to resolve those early issues. Their dedication has made a real difference and ensured we are now very happy in our new home.
We absolutely love the house—the quality, design, and finishing touches are excellent not to mention how energy efficient it is with underfloor heating, heat pump and solar panels. While moving in quickly meant we had a few snagging items, Mark has been fantastic throughout. He has been attentive, proactive, and reassuring—taking the time to log everything, arrange the necessary trades, and consistently check that we’re happy. His approach has truly made us feel listened to and well looked after.
We’d also like to give a special mention to Mark the electrician, WA Carpentry for their help and professionalism, and lastly Margaret at Kitchen Contracts Ltd for her help, design and supply of additional cupboards.
Overall, it's been a positive experience we are delighted that we chose a Hayfield home. The build quality is excellent, and with the support we’ve received, we’re very pleased to now be settled in our new home.

I am one of Hayfield’s homeowners, and I have to say that throughout the purchasing process, the customer service was excellent. However, that changed very quickly once contracts were completed and the keys were handed over.
Now, three years on, I am still having to chase customer service regarding unfinished works, snagging issues, and faults that remain unresolved.
This has become incredibly frustrating and deeply disappointing.

We’ve had a variety of small snags since moving into our new home. Every member of the team that’s come to the house to remedy each problem, has been friendly, helpful and polite.
A Nightmare Experience with Hayfield Homes
Think twice before buying a home from Hayfield.
Unless you’re ready to deal with shockingly poor customer care service and substandard construction that will seriously impact your daily life, stay away.
We purchased our Hayfield ( hayfield grove in Hallow ) home in June 2024, and since then it has been nothing but constant stress and frustration. Hayfield and their contractors repeatedly shift blame and avoid responsibility, while their customer care department shows zero internal communication or accountability. Issues drag on endlessly with no real solutions.
This has been an extremely disappointing and exhausting experience. We strongly regret our decision and would not recommend Hayfield to anyone considering a new home.
Hayfield Heights Excellence
The sales staff and site staff at Hayfield Heights, Gotherington are first class. Nothing is too much trouble to rectify any inevitable issues that come with buying a new property…which we love btw.

Buying a Hayfields Home
A couple of years ago we looked at a new estate of houses built by Hayfields that impressed us and made us seriously decide we ought to now think about down sizing. Over the next 12mths we visited 5 different builders sites including Hayfields. It became clear that Hayfields were in a league of their own, from the style, layout, size of plots, what came as standard as apposed to an extra and most importantly the quality.
This started with sales office at Hayfield Gardens. The staff were very professional but so welcoming. Laura, Claire, Georgina and Libby have looked after us well. The 3D model really helps you understand the site layout, plot/garden sizes, and the projection of light and shade on each plot over a 24hr period was extremely helpful.
Once we had put a deposit down on our plot we received a weekly email with what had been done, photos and what was next. This was really helpful to see what was happening and how.
Our completion was nearing Christmas but Mark the Assistant Site Manager worked tirelessly with all the trades to get us in for Christmas without compromising the standards we expected of Hayfields.
We employed a pre completion snagging survey the week of completion and then had a meeting with Mark who went through the report with a fine toothcomb and explained the relevance of each point, what had already been actioned and what was still to be actioned. After Christmas all the relevant trades have been in to action any issues raised. They have all been respectful of this now being our home and not just a plot and worked hard to make sure we are completely happy. We feel very looked after and listened to. So much is included in a Hayfields home that is not even considered or is an extra with the other builders. We know weve made the best choice.

Lovely experience
My husband and I have been looking at an estate for 2 years before we finally committed! Claire has been so lovely, helpful and patient throughout! Would certainly recommend Hayfield to any friends and family looking at new builds.

We can't fault Hayfield and the team at Hayfield Gardens in Toddington.

Our thanks go out to the sales team, Izzy, Laura, Clare and Georgina who have all held our hands throughput this process and always been happy to answer questions no matter how obscure. Also the site team especially Mark who was extremely clear in his demonstration in the house.
Absolute cowboy builders
Absolute cowboy builders. We have had nothing but issues with hayfield, the estate and home seemed so lovely prior to moving in. However hayfield are cowboy builders, they have no clue what they are doing. We had arguments for nearly 2 years regarding a damaged bath they tried to cover up. They finally replaced the bath, which was chipped when installed. They left it full of dirty water, so we were unable to check the bath right away. We reported this within 10 days and were told there was nothing they could do. We spoke with ROCA and they have again confirmed the damage would have occurred from tools being dropped etc. The bath was supposedly checked over and there were no issues, however first time it’s been used and it’s leaked through our kitchen ceiling.

This is our 5th new build home and the design and build quality of the house is excellent. The aftercare service, fixing what few snags there were was excellent and point contact from Hayfield Luke, has been incredibly helpful and efficient at managing the different trades required to fix the snags.
Would we buy another Hayfield property? Yes.
The design is very good making effective use of space in the available areas; the kitchen appliances are good and ample storage. One niggle is that our detached garage is further away than most.
The air source heat pump takes time to get used to and get control off but is efficient and cost effective.

Overall we are happy, some issues but good site people
Overall we are happy with our Hayfield property and positive about our move to Bromham. Whereas occasionally in the buying process they went a bit 'corporate' on us, this was smoothed by Georgina who was great at filtering and explaining things when asked.
There has been and will be fixes required as with all new buildings, snagging occurs and gets remedied. So far Hayfield has done nearly all they have been asked in tidying or repairs as sub-contractors sometimes 'overlook' issues they leave. Overall the products are among the best we've seen. A lot of the credit goes to Paul the site manager who was very helpful in any interaction and helpful in advising on some technical aspects. A great addition to their team and hopefully appreciated because he communicates on a respectful human basis.
Still early days and aware that some issues persist for other residents. This is because we joined the estate late in the development so we're not fully aware of everything. We are aware unannounced layout changes have occurred and we had seen the negative aspects of that early on. But we are pleased overall to date and hopeful everything gets done.
You could do worse, but recognising a house is probably the largest purchase anyone will make, it needs to be good, future proof and right.

Excellent Customer service
We went for a viewing today and the agent, Lauren, was absolutely amazing. She was genuinely warm, very knowledgeable about the development and other developments, was just perfect host in showing us the show home. We may likely not end up purchasing a property at the Hayfield lodge Cambridge but are impressed with the build quality and especially the customer service. Well done to all involved.

Positive experience!
Our overall experience with Hayfield has been really positive.
Sales Team: Everyone we dealt with during the sales process was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The show home was stunning — beautifully designed and immediately sold us on the idea of buying. That said, there were a few things we were told we'd be able to have, like in the show home, that turned out not to be options once the house was actually built. For example, we were expecting seamless carpets and Sonos speakers with zoned control, which we later learned weren’t available. Later on, we also found out that some of the materials we had chosen were either discontinued or unavailable in the styles we wanted — this was nearly a year later, during the second stage of fittings. One example is the flooring: we were originally told it could be done in a herringbone pattern, but just two weeks before it was due to be laid, we were informed that herringbone was never actually an option.
Aftercare: Where Hayfield really stands out is in their aftercare. Because of the issues we faced, they went above and beyond to offer us alternative materials, even letting us choose from supplier options not listed in the standard catalogue.
We were also introduced to Luke, who’s been fantastic — incredibly responsive and quick to resolve any problems. All of our snagging issues were taken care of within the first month of moving in, and he's continued to be helpful with any questions we’ve had.
All in all, we’re very happy with the quality of our home and grateful for the support we've received.
