The sale of my house was a real slog. It took 18months through the pandemic. That part of it isn’t haarts fault but when you charge a premium (1.5%) you expect the service to be a good one. Frankly, it wasn’t. Ultimately I found myself driving the sale, chasing for updates and doing the leg work to chase when haart should have.

After selling the house, I said to the branch manager that as I had terminated the contract (after selling privately prior to haart selling it - but they then dropped out), I wanted to renegotiate the fee. He said it could be done at the end of the process via a review.

The review was even worse than the service. The review took 2 months and started with the branch manager who turned down my claim and then was escalated to the area manager who did the same (crudely, what area manager is going to critique their branch manager and grant a reduction in fee for poor service). My claims were not investigated properly and I was told if I wanted to escalate it further, they would begin charging interest. Thus strong arming me into paying. The whole thing screams of a farce and a review which isn’t fair as those involved in the review are too close to ensuring they do not take on any criticism and don’t take money away from the branch.

Deborah and the team would bend over backwards to help find out answer and assist in any way they could. Despite being in the middle of a pandemic they made us feel like we were the only people that they were dealing with and that mattered.
The whole team are faultless, friendly and extremely professional.

Huge thank you to Haart for all their help this year! Moving and buying in a pandemic has been a learning process for all but I can’t fault them. In particular Deborah who was so understanding how fussy I was about my new home and was really helpful and understanding with my children as I am a single mum. Would only ever use Haart in future.

I have to say it has been one of the most stressful times of my life trying to sell a house through Brexit and move through Covid 19 just for our sale to fall through. Deborah at Haart has been very helpful. She answers emails and queries efficiently. She is understanding of issues with services due to current situation. She was also extremely helpful with my daughters flat purchase at the beginning of the year. Would highly recommend her and all the the services Haart offer.

Deborah Mills at Haart went above and beyond to secure our house sale - we secured a buyer just before lockdown but unfortunately this was not meant to be, lucky for us we did have another interested party and Deborah helped with the process all the way through. I can not fault Haart at all through the sale process, at a time when things were so uncertain due to the pandemic they kept us up-to-date and did all that was possible to make the process as easy as possible.
