When I tried to let this company know that my unlock code did not work. They tried to assist me and we went through the troubleshooting stages. Before I purchased this item I was told that I would get a full refund if the product didn't work. After all the troubleshooting i went through with no results this company still refused to give me a refund. They are untrustworthy, inconsiderate, and a waste of time. I WOULD DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE!!

I'm writing this because I had a hard time believing some of these reviews. They sounded so amazing and almost unbelievable - as if they were fabricated by the company on fake accounts.

Why am I writing this review? Because I wanted to be the real person that cleared the air for everyone. GSMLiberty did their job, straight up. They did what I asked of them. They unlocked my Galaxy S3 with the first code they sent on the 2nd tier registry 'search'.

Backstory Coles Notes:

1) Bought phone from friend that was locked to Rogers Canada
2) Paid for first tier registry search from GSMLiberty
3) GSMLiberty said they could not find a code, so they asked for more money (still cheaper than Rogers unlocking it)
4) Provided them money, gave them 24 hours
5) Wrote a nasty ticket threatening to pull my money if they don't comply with a code
6) Code shows up 2 hours later
7) Code worked after 2nd attempt using 2nd solution for my phone.

So, why didn't they warn me about the 2nd tier charge before I bought the 1st tier? Seems kind of dodgy, right? Seems really fishy, so thats why I wrote them a nasty-gram about collecting my money after 24 hours of waiting.

Would the code have appeared at the same time had I not sent the angry email? I have no idea.

Did the code legitimately work? YES.

Did I record the unlock for proof? Hell no, I didn't think it was going to work!

Did it work?

YES.

Great service. I would recommenced gsmliberty.net to anyone.

I had two iPhone 4s to unlock. One was locked to Rogers in Canada - GSM Liberty provided the code very promptly and the unlock process worked flawlessly. The second one was a different story. This phone was locked to Bell Canada and it cost 3x the amount to unlock the Rogers carrier phone. The first time the unlocking did not work. After several stressful events when trying to contact GSM customer service ( phone service does not work) and various fruitless chat exchanges with someone that seemed so untrustworthy over the chat line, Jason responded 8 days later and said to try the unlocking process again. This time the unlocking worked (thanks Jason from GSM Liberty). However happy I was that I did not loose $115 ( because I am convinced that I would have never gotten a refund if the unlock did not work - check BBB website for GSMLiberty), it was very frustrating customer service experience. Although I have been their customer 3 times already, I am never going back. My recommendation: take your money elsewhere.

Got the code, it works..... But customer service is terrible and delivery was also really off.

Messaged a few times and was told to wait for the time frame (7-8 hours)
22 hours later, I finally receive it. No answer from customer service at the 9 hour mark, the phone line is just a front as no one is actually answering. Also put a support ticket, to which no one answered.
I had a time frame for a transaction to which they did not uphold.

Would not do business again and will recommend everyone I know to do the same.

Their direct line does not work. 1877 number ether. I had canceled service and they did nothing. it dragged for 2 weeks. and no refund. Never ever will I come to them for service.

This is the third cell phone in 2 years that I have unlocked using Gsmliberty and all have gone flawlessly. All the unlock codes were delivered well within the advertised time frame. It was as easy as advertised: 1. insert the new SIM card 2. turn on the cell phone 3. type in the unlock code when asked. Great service and great company.

I got my unlock code quickly and got clear answer about my concerns via online chat. I unlocked my phone in easy steps 1-2-3. It's amazing! Enjoy my new phone!😊

These guys took more than 3 days to process my order. They were tracking my IP address despite having all the phone details. After they couldn't deliver in a timely fashion, I cancelled my order. Two days later they contact me again asking if I would like the code since they had done processing. I replied and they have been MIA since.

Complete and utter waste of time.

The unlock code works on my Samsung Galaxy S5360, although they advertised that the unlock code will be sent in 30min to 43min but I received the code after 2hrs. I will not hesitate to recommend this company to others

They didn't provide the unlock code as they said they world in a timely manner. When the code did come it didn't work. Beware of this cheating company as they will not give you your money back when you request, they say 100% satisfaction buy that is also a lie.

Purchased the unlock code through PayPal, received it one day later by email (they had initially quoted 7-8 hrs but no big deal), entered the code in the phone and 2s later I was using a Bell Canada SIM card on an unlocked phone. Everything went flawlessly and I highly recommend GSMliberty.

I had to pay extra for the tier 2 search, and wait a while...but when it came the next day, it worked fast and easy. Great service. Thank you.

I am very satisfied with their service. The price was good ($20 to unlock my Samsung smartphone), and when my first try didn't work, I followed the troubleshooting instructions on their site - that did the trick.
