We contacted this agency politely with a detailed inquiry about entering Ethiopia with our own vehicle. We asked for practical information regarding paperwork, routes, costs and border procedures. The only initial reply we received was a single sentence: “Payment for the TIP is $400.”
No greeting, no explanation, no context, no answers to any of our questions.
When we asked for further details in a friendly and respectful way, the tone immediately changed. Instead of providing information, we were suddenly accused of “harassing business” and “bullying” — simply because we later posted an honest and factual Google review about the poor communication.
From this point onward, the situation escalated dramatically on his side:
He attempted to publicly discredit us by claiming our inquiry “never happened,” despite the fact that we have the complete WhatsApp conversation saved as screenshots.
He repeatedly pressured us to delete our review instead of addressing the actual issue or offering any kind of explanation or apology.
He ignored our attempts to de-escalate and continue the conversation professionally.
And finally, he sent direct threats, writing messages such as:
“you will pay”
“I know who you are”
“I will make you pay for this”
These statements go far beyond unprofessional behaviour.
We have been travelling the world for 27 years in more than 90 countries and have never encountered anything remotely similar from a business. The combination of dishonesty, aggression band threats is deeply concerning.
All communication is fully documented and can be verified through screenshots and chat logs.
For us, this service is absolutely not trustworthy.
