Very disappointed with the service. I ordered £65 worth of original, vegan and gluten free brownies for a special party on a Saturday afternoon. As specified on the website I ordered 1 to 2 days before the event. In fact on a Wednesday for delivery Friday - the event being Saturday pm. DPD didn’t deliver until Sunday late afternoon by which time all the guests had left. I contacted Gower brownies to ask if I could return as no longer any use and was told no and no refund. I now have £65 of brownies and no use for them. Also I have no freezer to store and they are already 5 days made.
I was very disappointed with customer care as it took 4 emails to get a response and no satisfactory resolution. I won’t be buying again.

Received a box of these delicious brownies as a surprise Birthday gift. They were absolutely gorgeous! Served warm, with fresh double cream and a nice hot mug of coffee … sheer heaven! I may just have to buy more of these brownies, as an indulgent treat for myself!!

Simple enough (or so I thought) ordered brownies as a thank you gift to be delivered on a specific date. Parcel didn't show up (albeit no their fault - DPD electric van "useless" service) delivered day after to wrong address 20 doors down. Emailed customer service who expected the recipient to go looking for these brownies - photo showed a picture of the street, not even the house or person who received them either! Disgusting customer service, delivery issues are their issue NOT THE CUSTOMERS!! Will go through PayPal for refund. Will never use or recommend them ever again!

Stunning quality, and fabulous taste and texture - mmmmmmm, delicious!! We ordered the coffee and walnut brownies and they didn't last long! Gr8 packaging and they arrived safe and sound :-)

Great brownies, but avoid ordering any online at all costs.

I had ordered some for my wife for an occasion and they arrived totally crushed.

Customer service were disinterested. Save yourself the disappointment and a journey to your DPD returns depot and do not place an order!

My guilty pleasure, these are truly delicious, my best friend introduced these to me and I am now addicted. they are fresh, tasty, moreish and work ok for me and my diabetes as there are no nasties involved. I have an order in at the moment and literally cannot wait to get my chops around them. No sharing involved !!

Have previously ordered these a few years ago and they were delicious. Ordered but received no confirmation email and only DPD delivery details. Never arrived and reply from the company after I chased it up - they have been delivered somewhere else. Refund offered promptly (thanks) but still spoiled the surprise treat/gift. No offer of replacement. Why do you continue to use DPD if so unreliable?! Had to give a low rating as no item delivered. Certainly look elsewhere for more reliable companies.

So, bit of a bitter sweet story to our review! We first heard of Gower Cottage Brownies, and Jane, last weekend. She was on The Morning Breakfast show (or whatever it’s called) to celebrate St David’s Day (my husband is Welsh and was thrilled!) unfortunately, we were in the hospital as I was very unwell, but we would have never seen Jane and her amazing company and her AMAZING brownies, otherwise! The brownies and blondie butter were packaged excellently. As soon as I got into the outer box, the smell of the brownies hit me. Then there was another box to get into the actual brownie box and the blondie butter was packaged separately inside the larger outer box. Everything arrived in immaculate condition and we couldn’t wait to dive in and try them. These brownies definitely give you the ‘oh my god, this is amazing!’ First bite. Thanks for brightening up a hospital wait, Jane! Go buy some!

I had seen these brownies on QVC many times, and they looked so dry, not at all moist, I wasn’t tempted at all.
However some months later, my greed for something sweet, with a promise of free next day delivery direct from GC, my temptation was released.
I ordered the cherry brownies direct from GC website. They were delivered the following day. I couldn’t wait to break into the box, they looked delicious and I could see immediately how moist they were from breaking the first one. The flavour was incredible and the texture Devine, everything a good brownie should be. I offered hubby one, he declined, which made me secretly happy, more for me I thought. I hate to admit I devoured the entire box in three days, what can I say they’re absolutely delicious, never had such moreish and delicious brownies. I can now stop my search for that sweet treat that really hits the spot and satisfies.
I have since bought more for myself, as well as for friends and also my son, they were also all a huge hit with them all.
Any time I’m stuck for a treat for someone, I go to GC, they really are the best brownies I’ve ever tasted, I’m almost 71 and have tasted many before, none come close to GC ones, they’re scrumptious. Some are heading their way to a friend today

I received a pack of 12 Chocolate Brownies as a belated Christmas gift from my boss.

Oh my god, awesome gift. 12 brownies, not massive but not too small because they are so rich. Fudgey and moorish, not too bitter but not too sweet.

Well packaged and a truly wonderful thing to receive. I was torn between wanting to eat several and wanting to extend the pleasure and make them last as long as possible.

The following day I made some brownies of my own. They did not measure up.

I will definitely buy some of these in my own right.

Ordered brownies for Christmas a month in advance - incorrect order received on the last posting day before Christmas. No answer on the website phone number and 3 days for a reply by e-mail. Really poor customer service with a brief apology offering a refund. Still awaiting refund. I will take it further should I not receive one . This company is not worth the hassle - find another, equally as good brownie provider.

We have used this company many times and always enjoyed the brownies. However, our most recent delivery was due last Friday and, despite our friend being at home to receive the delivery, I received an email stating ‘our driver missed you’. The only option was to wait for DPD to try again Monday. The only response I have had from Gower is a photo showing that DPD did not attempt delivery to the correct address (or anywhere nearly). I’ve since tried to contact Gower customer service numerous times by phone and email. Gower have taken no responsibility for the failure of the brownies to be delivered as specified at time of ordering. When I phone I get an answerphone telling me they are busy baking brownies. When I email I get no response. If she is lucky my poorly friend will today receive brownies that are at least 5 days old! We will never use Gower again and I will be contacting my credit card company to request a refund. I’ve asked to log a complaint with Gower but been totally ignored.

Well, the flavour is second to none, but very disappointed with the texture - if product is sold as unbakef cake mix would get 10 out of 10, there was no divisions with the individual brownies, how can you sell this product and call them brownies and provide a fancy box of soft brownie cake mix.

This is not a brownie, but delicious raw cake mix, the packaging was amazing - waste of money for the product inside, a brownie is an individual cube of cake that you can bite into, or break with your hands to make a smaller bite - this was a very soft mixture all squished together in an oblong size one on top of each other, no distinguishing divisions - very expensive raw cake mix.

I've used many times with no issues - they really are absolutely gorgeous brownies. Really surprised by reviews as customer service was quick really helpful when I got in touch. Seems like maybe they needs a new delivery supplier.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.
A delivery sent with condolences for the death of my husband was left outside my house with no knock at the door or delivery note posted to be torn apart over the front garden (I assume by a fox).
This company DID NOT replace the order on being informed of this. Simply shocking behaviour.

Placed 3 months order first delivery was fine then it all started DPD due too deliver lovely then we saw him drive past our house he took photo of the house opposite saying no one was in CCTV picked him up driving like a bat out of hell so we tried ringing above company but no response also email again no response never again will we place an order with Gower Cottage Brownies paid over £50 plus

These are the best gluten free brownies!
Originally discovered in f&m but they have discontinued them there.
Tried the orange from the website and they are amazing, dropped one star as the box inside was all squashed and ripped. Didn't matter too much as for my husband but cannot order for anyone else as a gift. So disappointing.

I have used this company several times before with no problem. The brownies are great. However,
the brownies I received yesterday (from my son as a mother's day gift) had been ruined by rough handling and inadequate packaging.
They were squashed, broken and mis shapen.
My son was most upset and contacted the company who were very unhelpful.They really had no interest in finding a solution to the problem.
Very disappointed ...if you are intending to order them for a gift I would not bother.I certainly won't be doing so in future.

Wow wow wow. The best brownies I’ve tried.

Perfectly moist, crispy on top and soft in the middle. I’m not actually a big brownie fan as I find them too sickly usually, but these are AMAZING. Little pieces of heaven. Makes a perfect gift too as the packaging is beautiful. + Next day delivery!
