I was able to get a pathway to start my tech career and transition from a warehouse environment. I also had no prior experience in tech.

GovTech Academy is the amazing. They offer quality coaching. I was one of their give away winners for comptia security + exam Voucher. Thankfully I passed my CompTIA Security exam on my first try. I would like to sincerely say thank you to the GovTech Academy for their generosity and excellence!!.

I was very excited to start the program with GovTech! I was looking for a career change in something that not only would be a true, long lasting career, but one with a very comfortable income is a huge plus!
I found out about this program and from the introductory session I knew it was a place I needed to be and pursue.
The sign up was easy, start forward and no surprises! Once I was in the program, the entire staff I’ve worked with from Helen to Sylvia and all others have been super supportive and there for me! I even work at a slower pace, and I’m never made to feel like I’m failing just because my pace may be slower. Sylvia has given me great advice and given me great guides in order to reach my goal and pass my Security+ exam!
It is very worth your time and effort to join this program in order to reach the ultimate goal, which is job security and peace of mind to provide for yourself and your family!

Managed to pass the Sec+ on my second attempt thanks to everyone’s encouragement and help! In my first attempt, I was pretty close to passing. But due to an unforeseen topic that was recently added and I didn’t study for, I was unable to pass. But thanks to my coaches, I managed to gain the resources I needed to study as much as I could to be ready for that topic and pass on my second attempt.

The part I love most is the sense of community along with having great coaching

The experience as been great! It was surely an adjustment at first as is anything new but the mentorship has been necessary. I enjoyed having the Security+ classes to keep me grounded as well as the accountability calls with Grace. I've actually obtained my Security+ certification while just starting in June and excited for what's next to come!

I highly recommend this program that Symone has put together. The structurer and accountability coaches are great, and it was exactly what I needed to get myself over the hurdle to pass the Security + exam. Big shout out to my coach Jazzmin, thanks for all support and encouragement.

I had a great experience with GovTech Academy and Symone Beez’s coaching program. I joined to help prepare for the Security+ exam, and I’m happy to say I passed! The coaches were always available, supportive, and easy to work with, and the live instruction classes were very helpful. I’m also continuing to use the career development videos as I work toward finding a job in IT. The community forum is friendly, encouraging, and motivating. I would definitely recommend GovTech Academy to anyone looking to earn a certification and advance their tech career.

my unique and best experience for me is having the accountability platform and check-ins. As life as been progressing, it was easier for me not to do the work, however, with the check-ins and guidance. i have not had the opportunity to fall back and that for me is a piece of Gem in my carrier Pivot.

The learning experience for me, felt overwhelming, the technology was easy to learn and the face-to-face training, was also valuable.

The GovTech Academy has provided me with a Framework that strategically helped me stay focused simultaneously on both the "step-by-step details" and the "Big Picture" in order for me to successfully hit the "Target" my goal. Symone B. has created an environment that inspires commitment, dedication and the belief that anyone can succeed if they put the work in that's needed to accomplish your goal. And when I say environment I really mean "Community" of like-minded individuals all heading in the same direction, destination SUCCESS!!! I am now Security+ certified 8/3/26!!!

Before joining the Gov Tech program, I was working as a student toward building a career in cybersecurity and information technology. I knew that I wanted to enter the technology field, but I was not always sure which direction to take or how to turn what I was learning into skills that employers would value. One of my biggest challenges was figuring out how to connect my education with real-world experience and become confident enough to pursue opportunities in the industry.

Since joining the Gov Tech program, I have gained more knowledge, resources, and direction for reaching my career goals. The program has helped me understand the importance of developing both technical and professional skills. I have also learned that building a career in technology is not just about earning certifications or completing coursework. It is about continuing to practice, gaining hands-on experience, networking, and learning how to communicate the skills that I have developed.

My confidence and mindset have also changed throughout the program. I have become more focused on what I need to accomplish and more confident that I can build a successful career in technology. Instead of feeling like I need to know everything before pursuing an opportunity, I understand that learning and growth are ongoing parts of working in the technology field.

The support I have received has also been an important part of my experience. Having my Check-in Specialist (Sylvia), mentors, coaches, and live calls with Matthew and Khalid has provided encouragement, accountability, and opportunities to ask questions when I need guidance. I appreciate having people who are willing to share their knowledge and help me stay focused on my goals.

In closing, the Gov Tech program has helped give me greater clarity about my career path and the steps I need to take moving forward. I still have more to learn, for sure, but I feel better prepared, more motivated, and more confident about continuing my journey into cybersecurity and IT.

Im currently on my path of setting the foundation of achieving an over seas job. After passing my Security+ Exam in June. I’ve been job searching and apply consistently with the help of GovTech. They tailored my resumes for help desk, it support analysis and jr. system administrator. I used that same resume for a maintenance repair technician at the airport and landed the job. This job will allow me the opportunity to gain security clearance! I asked coach Ace before moving forward with the application process to ensure this would be a best fit. He said go for it! I’m currently doing my background check while that’s going on. My accountability coach, Jazzmin also reassured me that this would be an excellent opportunity. In the meantime of this i’m still working on getting a part time job into IT for the experience. So i may be ready in the next year! I do appreciate being part of this program and everything it has to offer!

This program is very straight forward and I am being told exactly what to do and what’s going to happen and it happens. Im just a little impatient with myself since I’m in a waiting season looking to finally land a role but its overall been good.

The instructions from my accountability coach and security preparer study class by k. I came not knowing anything about cybersecurity however, I am progressing in my studies and learning a lots about cybersecurity procedures and implementation processes. I worked as a Quality Control Technician and loved my job, but unexpected circumstances led to me being laid off. With extra time on my hands, I began thinking about the future and finding a career path that would help me avoid being in that situation again. While researching layoff-proof careers, I stumbled upon one of Symone's videos and deeply related to the person she was interviewing—their drive to improve and succeed. Now, I’m part of GOVTech and wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’ve been amazed by how supportive everyone is—the teachers, staff, and even the students genuinely want you to succeed. There’s always someone ready to answer questions and help you better understand the material. Khalid and Matt go out of their way to ensure you grasp what they’re teaching, even offering one-on-one help when needed. That kind of support has boosted my confidence tremendously. I’ve never been around a group so dedicated to others’ success and so passionate about their work. My confidence has grown so much, and without GOVTech, I don’t think it would have been possible. I’m incredibly grateful to them.

I have found this academy to be extremely helpful in my studies towards getting a certification in cybersecurity. Previously, I worked in many different fields, with the most recent being in Human Resources. It's been a long and difficult journey, but having the support of my accountability coach, Sylvia and previously Tatianna, makes each step feel like progress.

I am a 25B IT Specialist in the US ARMY RESERVE. I was looking to transition into civilian IT. So far I found it very helpful. The coaches knowing where you’re at and where you need to be. I really appreciate the support in this community as it really is a blessing.
