GO Outdoors - Wigan Anmeldelser 

We came in at around 7:20pm 17/08/26 and was looking at tents. We didn’t get his name but the lad who helped us was so nice and made sure we knew about the 4 for £2 with the tent. He has short hair and a beard and was really good and got us everything we needed. Absolutely fantastic customer service and retail workers definitely deserve more recognition 👌🏽Thankyou again.

If I could do 6 stars I would !!! The shop manager Chris helped us with many queries and purchases from camping to bikes , his knowledge was excellent and his patience was brilliant, he even stayed late when his shift had finished to build us our grand daughters new bike , so to me that’s over and above his duties , excellent and well done Wigan go outdoors . I’d also like to say well done to the shop assistant lady from skelmersdale ( don’t know her name ) she helped us on buying jackets and clothing a credit to your company always smiling and great knowledge and advice on her subjects , we are over the moon with all our purchases and would recommend anyone to visit go outdoors Wigan as all the staff are great and products brilliant! Credit where it’s due , well done all the staff 6 stars not 5 👍

I rang the store to see if they had any maggots in stock , I was told yes i went to the store and was told they only had 2 pints left i purchased them and when I got home and riddled the ridiculous amount of sawdust off them there wasn't even half a pint, which totally spoiled my planned next day fishing trip, if I would of taken 2 pints of maggots and only paid for half a pint would this not of been shoplifting??? every time I go you can never get what you want even though it says stock in store online, you ask any of the staff what just seem to be chatting and they just say you will have to look for the items and very rarely seem willing to assist

Been a few times in the past couple of weeks and always received great customer service and product availability. Was served today by a lady called Sue who went out of her way to help us. Amazing!

We arrived after being to the liverpool branch yesterday and buying a faulty product as we had forgot our receipt for the item sue jumped right in helping us fully jumping right in to help us with everything and also grabbing a trolly for us for the tent we where buying big thank you to sue for her help today she deserves a pay rise honestly best customer service ive had in awhile

I'm not very savvy on the phone. I'd joined go outdoors the night before got a 10'/' discount, couldn't find it. The girl on the till helped me out so much with dignity and respect as I was holding up a queue. Lovely service from a lovely young girl who gave her time to help out than to move me along to get rid of a queue.

Gemma & Sue are such an asset to Go outdoors Wigan. They honestly went above and beyond to help us today. Thank you so much for your time and patience.

A particular enjoyable experience.

I wanted to take the time to write and express my sincere thanks and appreciation for the exceptional customer service I recently received from your team at the Wigan store.

My wife and I had purchased a tent from the Liverpool store and, after returning home, realised that the price we had been charged at the till was over £100 more than the sale price displayed on the tent. Having already spoken with Head Office and the customer service team, who advised that the issue should be resolved in-store, we were extremely disappointed when the Liverpool store refused to honour the displayed price, insisting that the till price was correct.

As you can imagine, this was incredibly frustrating and left us feeling stressed and unsure about how the matter would be resolved.

By chance, I contacted your Wigan store and spoke with the manager Gemma.

From the moment she answered the phone, she was absolutely fantastic. She immediately took ownership of the issue, reassured me that your store would be happy to help despite the tent not being purchased there, and explained that although she would not be working later that day, she would ensure her management team was fully briefed before my arrival.

True to her word, when I arrived that evening, I did not need to explain the situation at all. The manager on duty Paul already knew the full details and could not have been more helpful. The issue was resolved quickly and professionally, and he also took the time to talk me through some additional information about the tent, answer my questions, and help me identify other products I was looking for. His knowledge and willingness to help went far beyond what I expected.

After the experience I'd had elsewhere, I honestly cannot describe the sense of relief I felt. I had spent the previous evening worrying about how I was going to get the issue resolved and had reached the point where I was seriously questioning whether I would shop with Go Outdoors again in the future.

However, the service I received from Gemma and Paul at Wigan completely changed my view. Their professionalism, customer focus and genuine desire to help turned what had been a very negative experience into a positive one. In future, I will happily travel the extra distance to visit the Wigan store because I know I will be looked after properly and can shop with confidence.

I don't often take the time to provide feedback, but on this occasion I felt compelled to do so. Gemma and Paul on the Wigan team are a real credit to your business and exemplify what excellent customer service should look like.

yasmine give me a great discount and helped me out loads for my first time

Stock showing as in stock on Web site so a 14 mile round trip just to find no stock. The assistant in the fishing department said he would have a look on computer but it wouldn't let him log in. I did buy some stuff but the Korum allrounder hooks in 12s and 14s I went for was not in stock. I find this a lot when I go to the Wigan store so I let my membership lapse a few years ago. I did renew it again this year but nothing as changed. I came out of the store and carried on to Angling Direct got what I needed at roughly the same same price so again I wonder if membership is worth it for fishing equipment

Visited the Wigan store 23/07/26 to purchase walking shoes with my autistic son. Big thank you to Mandi for her patience, brand and shoe fitting knowledge. It made the experience so much easier. Mandi took the time to explain how each brand fits slightly differently and gave us different sizes to try so we got the best fit. She also explained the best way to fasten your walking shoes up and the best socks to avoid blisters.

Mandy was exceptionally knowledgeable & helpful, she helped us buy exactly what we went in for.

Sounds a bit dodgy. Receipt said £47. Amount was about £20 cheaper. With the £5 cost of card it still only added to about £45. Only seen at home and frustrated now. The receipt even says Ive said £38 please tell me from where!!!

I can't thank and recommend Chris (manager) at Wigan GO outdoors enough. Chris went above and beyond to find me an Air beam for a tent i purchased from someone to find out sortly after that it was badly damaged beyond repair and discontinued. He went out of his way to find an alternative one that would fit my tent . My children and i can re-book our first little camping trip we sadly had to miss. Thank you so much Chris and your fantastic Colleagues ☺️

I had another excellent experience at GO Outdoors Wigan thanks to Sue. She went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I was looking for, taking the time to answer my questions and make sure I left with the right items. What's even more impressive is that Sue helped me to the same outstanding standard this time last year as well. It's rare to receive such consistently friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service. A real credit to the GO Outdoors Wigan team. Thank you, Sue!
