GO Outdoors - Team Valley Anmeldelser 

I was looking for a new pair of hiking boots and I received very good support from the staff. Andy was great. He was proactive, responsive, knowledgeable and friendly.
He gave me options based on the information I had provided, suggested alternatives and even gave advice regarding cleaning and maintenance. Andy was that good, I made additional purchases for the cleaning and waterproofing products.
Even more, Andy was so supportive while juggling queries from other customers. Even when I tried boots and was pleased with them, he went and brought more boots and answered more questions.

I came to buy a gas bottle for a new fire pit.
Max came to help me select the correct bottle & carried it to my car.
Unfortunately, the instructions that came with the product showed the wrong type of bottle.

I went back, and Max came to my aid again.
Although it was complex, he sorted the right bottle.

When trying to refund me, the staff had some issues. Julie came to the rescue. The staff who supported me were very helpful.

We visited the store to get some advice as my husband needed a solution for his camping sleeping set up
Terry was fabulous helped with advice and recommended a great bed option that is a brilliant purchase. He was patient, friendly and knowledgeable a great asset to the store thank you Terry

Knowledgeable and willing to put in the extra time for a noobie (fishing).

Did receive a email when it was ready to pick up .spent 40 minutes in queue waiting for customer service. They then said it was ready but tracking hadn't been updated

Visited Go Outdoors at Team Valley for some new walking shoes. The assistant in the shoe department couldn't of been more helpful ( sorry didn't get ya name young man) and check out server Matthew was very helpful indeed even helping me to get a price match deal saving even more than my Blue Light discount would of given me! Great stuff....and staff!!

Good choice good prices

Julie from the Team Valley was fantastic. Buying walking boots for an 11 year old. She helped choose the right boots, size and helped with fitting them due to me not being able to fasten them properly (broken wrist). Also got advice about testing them indoors and aftercare too. Then, as if by magic, due to the long queues, Julie ended up serving us at the till too! I couldn’t wish for better service. Thank you!

I visited Team Valley branch of Go Outdoors on 08.08.2026 and received excellent customer care by a young salesperson called Leigh. She went the extra mile to help me, was extremely polite, personable and the consummate professional - all delivered with a smile. Nothing at all was too much trouble for her to do or explain. She was an exemplar of what customer service can and should be.

Good discount on item I was after

Very friendly, honest and helpful staff. On the two occasions that I have visited this store the staff have gone above and beyond my expectations. Kaj, the polite, honest and helpful young man that assisted me yesterday was exceptional, an asset to GO Outdoors.

Amazing service from Julie at the Gateshead store. Julie was extremely informative and friendly.

My order was cancelled, upon further investigation we realised that the tent we had ordered wasn’t in stock when we purchased it but Go Outdoors still proceeded with our order and took payment. They should inform you before you buy if something isn’t available. We didn’t have time to find a tent elsewhere, very disappointing experience.

Great experience, liked all the tents that were up and we were able to see if all our air mattress’ could fit.

I joined on the G O app, hadn't been camping in years, the staff were really helpful with, assistance, advice, even opening boxes to show me what was there, and I saved money as a member, the customer service was brilliant 👏 😀

Julie was amazing, I was stressed out because I had to return a pair of boots but Julie put me at ease straight away and sorted me out with replacements, All the staff seem friendly and I highly recommend this store.

Bought a tent on sunday, pitched it in the calmest weather imaginable on Wednesday and the tent pole snapped not even 12 hours later. Having camped several times before we knew the pile was not over stretched or under any stress at all and there was not a bit of wind in sight. So we took our tent back to the Team Valley store we bought it from on Friday, to be met by the most condescending arrogant manager who proceeded to tell us we couldn't return it because it was "a consumable". Unsure how an integral part of a tent i bought 3 days before pitching it for the first time can be deem something unreturnable. So we called customer services who advised we absolutely are legally allowed to return it but it HAS to be in store. We live nowhere near this store so we have yet another treck back to argue with the manager to accept the return of their own faulty tent.
