I have been wearing vegan trainers for years as part of my work uniform. I just received a new order and they are cheaper/smaller and way lower quality. Same price cheap quality. I noticed they are now made in Indonesia instead of Vietnam so they obviously changed sweatshops. I’m frustrated because I emailed my feedback and they did not care at all. Beware if you choose to buy these. Much more narrow. Go a size up if you really need them.

Wish I had checked trust pilot first. Their vegan trainers fell apart after 2 months Light wear. Have tried their email, contacts on web page and social media. No response. Horrible that they are allowed to trade with such blatant disregard for their customers. Avoid at all costs.

I recently bought women’s grand slam trident trainers as they looked so good but despite trying to wear them in for months, with memory foam insoles and cushions in them, they are so uncomfortable. I cannot go on a 5 minute walk without immediate blisters and bleeding. Regret spending £80 on these trainers and wish I returned them immediately rather than hoping they would get better.

I've bough the Harrier, Badminton, Varsity, all are outstanding! Particularly the Harrier. Awesome '70s/80s classic vibe British brand! They're just so well put together, and I love that they are the one thing I can buy that doesn't come from China. All mine made in Vietnam. I'd like a Made in England Harrier next, but I doubt it will be any better than the Harrier I already have, but I'd like to try their different materials.

Gola rainbow pumps.

After one week of wear the pump has split where the rubber meets the canvas. For £50 a pair this is unacceptable.

Very unhappy with the poor quality. You obviously don’t get what you pay for at Gola!

I never wanted Brexit, as I never thought we had sufficient British businesses to fill the gap after an exit from Europe.

I hoped that what we did have, would be of a suitable quality to encourage the Public to invest in British Products.

Sadly, this is not the case with Gola. They are selling sub-standard merchandise, at inflated prices by trying to cash in on an established brand name.

Less than 50% of their products that I have purchased have been shockingly bad. Two pairs of trainers were defective in under a day's use!

The Customer Service Team pretend to care, getting you to jump through hoops to fully explain your problem. They then claim they will pass your findings on another Department and that's the last you here.

Once you reach that stage, you never hear from them again!

I want to buy British, but not British rubbish. See the other reviews, they speak for themselves... Gola don't care about Customer Service.

I grew up with Gola as a child, my first pair of football boots were Gola. They lasted until I grew out of them... I wouldn't trust "new" Golas to get me out of the door!

On a final note Gola... Why do one pair of Golas have Lonsdale soles. Yep, your badge has peeled off and the soles say Lonsdale... Isn't that a Trading Standards breach?

If I could give no stars, I would.

I have a faulty product and their response has been terrible. Customer service are not willing to help and do not respond to emails.

I’ll take my business elsewhere in future.

I used to think that Gola made really good footwear, that was before my (and my wife's) recent experiences. Over the last year we purchased two pairs of Gola Atlantika walking boots each. Each pair we have had has fell apart after only six or seven months of moderate use. The soles come away from the upper and the upper material comes away from itself. Then just to add insult to injury the boots are not even waterproof, not even showerproof, not even damp-proof. I contacted Gola's customer services and they were most unhelpful, polite but totally unhelpful; they used the old chestnut of "you must go through the retailer" but the retailer was no longer around.

Anyway, if Gola can make shoddy footwear in one range then they can make shoddy footwear in all their ranges. In the end I went elsewhere and purchased walking boots from a well known manufacturer, just think........begins with K and you can lift a lot with them on. Cryptic eh!
