I went on the Thailand Rural Schools program over the summer. I had a great experience with great support from the coordinators of the program and the TEFL support I received was out of this world.

Whilst on the 6 week placement I had great support through issues faced such as illness, and injury. The coordinators had great communication with my host ensuring I got the best quality healthcare and making sure I was ok. I felt like the priority to gotoco with my wellness being the most important thing to the coordinators.

I had many opportunities to travel during the weekends, I was lucky with four holidays falling on Mondays and Fridays allowing me to have a long weekend travelling. Going to see Chiang Mai, Bangkok (probably too many times), and Pattaya.

Overall I would recommend the program to anyone wanting to pursue a job in education whether in the UK or abroad. My reasoning to on the program was to gain school experience to help with my PGCE application, however after completing this program I hope to work in an international school in Thailand after completing my PGCE in the UK.

Gotoco is a fantastic company that facilitates meaningful cultural exchange! Teaching at a school in rural Thailand was such a rewarding experience which I am so grateful for. The coordinators were always friendly, helpful and supportive. I definitely recommend this experience!

I spent two months volunteering with Go-to.co, teaching in Vietnam, and it was an incredible experience. I got to stay with the loveliest host family, gain teaching experience, and travel the country on my days off. The orientation, placement and end-of-programme trip were all amazing.

However, the application process was very long, and communication during application was very slow and frustrating at times. Information on the website was not always clear.

Overall though, I had an amazing time on the programme.

I found the experience very interesting, and very helpful in terms of my career progression. It has allowed me to make connections with individuals abroad to allow me to continue my teaching journey in Asia. Gotoco gave me a good opportunity to build on my teaching skills as well as building a foundation to teach abroad in the future

Gotoco are an incredible organisation who offered a truly incredible experience in rural Thailand. I learned so much about myself, about Thai culture and about teaching. Gotoco offered support the whole way through my journey, and provided excited trips for me to get involve in to make the most of my short time in Thailand. I would recommend them to anyone.

I loved my teaching experience in Poland. Going to a new country felt a bit scary at first, but meeting so many incredible people, both international and local, has made my time very enjoyable and fun. Although the teaching weeks were intense as the schedule was really packed, it was rewarding to see how by the end of every week the Polish kids improved and were more confident with their English. A truly enjoyable and life-changing experience overall.

Regarding the TEFL course, the practical assignments were a bit too long and they took quite a while to reply to the emails if we had queries. But it was straightforward to follow.

My experience with Gotoco was a once in a lifetime experience that everyone should try if given the opportunity. Everything from the friends I made, the places I traveled to and the teaching experience was amazing and truly made my summer a great one and I’d love for the opportunity to do it again.

Had an amazing experience at a Summer Camp in Hunan, China. The Gotoco team are always attentive and helpful, and it was an unforgettable time. The training and qualifications for TEFL are great too.

I cannot recommend Gotoco enough! I spend 4 weeks in Poland and am currently working to gain my TEFL certificate.

I particularly loved trying a new Polish food everyday (especially the cakes!). I also visited buildings that have seen hundreds of years of history, and learned so much about them. I loved visting the Uprising and History of Polish Jews museums, I learned so much.

You get the opportunity to live a whole other life for a month. From the cities to the countryside, from the food to the music; I loved Poland. I've made friends for life there.

The process of applying was a lot easier than I was expecting. I know that I can mention this experience during any question in a job interview. I had so much fun and made memories I'll have for the rest of my life.

I feel so much more confident in my abilities. I no longer doubt myself as I know I can withstand pressure and hardwork. I feel a lot better when talking to people I don't know now.

The locations were incredible. The food for vegetarians was great. The organisation was really not great, communication could be greatly improved. All of the children were so happy to be there.

If you want to become more independent, appreciative of different cultures and want a head-start into teaching abroad, Gotoco's program is probably the best option I could suggest. It helped me develop in ways I couldn't see initially.

The program also offers the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting and lovely fellow travelling teachers, many of whom you may form long-term friendships with.

Overall, the organisation of the program, the people involved, and the country are all excellent and are worth checking out.

It was overall an incredibly enriching experience, especially because of the independence it fostered. Being responsible for every aspect of my daily life-from lesson planning to navigating a new culture-gave me a deep sense of accomplishment and self-reliance. This autonomy allowed me to grow both personally and professionally, as I had to think on my feet, solve problems creatively, and fully immerse myself in a new environment. The freedom to manage my time and make decisions independently made the experience all the more rewarding, leaving me with lasting memories and valuable life skills.

I had no expectations going in but knew it was a company I could trust based on all the previous reviews!
Now I'm writing one and can say it was a life changing experience! Making new friends, travelling around the world and life long memories!

My favourite take-away from the trip was gaining Teaching experience in a school with no previous teaching experience or qualifications and it was a great way to discover if you enjoy it!

Gotoco provides a fully paid trip to Vietnam where I not only get to explore the unique culture, spectacular landscapes and delicious food but also gain professional experience in teaching which will help my CV stand out in any role. Great volunteer program for those who want a taste of teaching abroad. Gotoco made my summer very memorable by offering an English teacher placement in Hanoi. The teaching placements are completely random, and you don’t have much say in them, so you have to be open to this, as you could be placed in a rural town in northern Vietnam. The program provides a free trip to Hanoi and an end-of-program trip to Hoi An, which was one of the highlights of the experience. Overall, I recommend Gotoco, but be aware that you can’t choose where you’re placed in Vietnam.

A great company for finding teaching opportunities all over the world, they provide excellent support and make the process very accessible

Gotoco Thailand was an amazing opportunity, everything was fully funded and it was such an authentic experience.

I thought gotoco was a great way to do teaching abroad and its nice to have a secondary person to talk to about things, it made the whole process a lot less tense for me. I also liked the 3 weeks working and 1 weeks trip as it felt like a nice round off to the month.
