I appealed a fine on a bona fide basis, twice, and did not agree with their interpretation of the situation, nor, did I see anything reasonable in their behaviour. Reasonableness is a key foundation of English Common Law. I also raise a red flag as this appears a possible scam? Why? 1) I called Gladstones and Euro Parking Ltd appeared on my telephone! 2) Nobody picked up the phone!! 3) The letter rejecting my credible appeal which was provided in good faith was not from Gladstones or Euro Parking Ltd BUT CPS (Complete Parking Services) - that is 3 different names!!! Not only will I not pay them 1 pence, but I am very happy to go to court. Also I am inclined to take all this information to 1) the Chief Executive of the local council 2) The Police and 3) the press. I have not read one positive experience from anyone! BEWARE

These people all work in the parking industry,so even if you appeal it will knocked back,,because you'll be fighting the same people that issued the ticket in the first place...its a money making racket,gladstones solicitors..DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE..all connected to parking rip off merchants in my opinion ...Martin Lewis needs to deal with this lot of crooks.

Sent me an unjustified parking fine from over a year ago, luckily I only went there once and know for certain I did not park illegally. Very untrustworthy, underhanded and possibly fraudulent firm.

I have serious concerns in relation to their payment system for court claims.
After receiving judgement against me on the 24/02/2014 I immediately accessed their system and paid the outstanding amount . There was no option to change the value. I immediately received a email informing me that the courts would be notified that payment had been made within 5 days of the monies clearing. This never happened and 8 months on when applying for credit I became aware of this.
I went back on to their system to find that there was a £24 balance owed…
I immediately settled this and corresponded with GLADSTONE ON THIS . I felt that their system was inaccurate and not up to date which led to the debt being registered against me.
On challenging them I found that on the 10/12/2024 their system defaulted some how to show that the full debt remained unpaid £285.., since making them aware their system has now gone back to a zero balance.
I have evidence/screen shots of all of these points, I have made, as from my perspective solicitors have a duty of care. If they are to use an online payment system to collect monies in relation to court judgments they should in my view ensure that the system is fit for purpose. The failure to provide this and act as per communications sent out has to be considered a breach of this duty of care. /responsibility. Subsequently I now have a CCJ against my name and beginning the process of employing a solicitor to challenge the position

A number of friends have been approached by this company using words like we will take you to court and will be charged for court costs this company is working on behalf of Horizion parking who also have bad reviews , people are now sending complaints to companies house and trading standards

Seemingly a cowboy firm of solicitors (with only one telephone number, no answer phone, phone ringing unanswered for ten minutes or more, only automated receipt responses to emails).
Persist in sending debt chasing correspondence to an individual who has never lived at my address with threats of a CCJ that I suspect will be lodged against my address. I have even provided the address of the individual they are pursuing (obtained from a utility company that similarly are chasing unpaid debts but unlike Gladstones accept the debitor doesn't live at my address and never has).
I wasn't surprised to see how others rate Gladstones on Trust Pilot.

This is the most disrespectful/ disgusting company I’ve ever delt with. For context I’m in the British army and was deployed to Romania in late January. I was charged a parking ticket mid January, so I had no way of knowing I had the ticket till two weeks ago when I got a message from these heartless people.

I then explained to the company on the phone the whole situation and I was happy to pay the original price as I did go over. Then the bloke proceeded to tell me “the world doesn’t stop for you mate” which is absolutely disgusting!

In the end I payed as I called lawyers and looked for help within the army. Everyone said “your just gonna have to pay” wish I had the money to stick it to these guys as you can tell they don’t care about anyone and there situations.

I received a fine which was not justified on private land. They replied to my initial appeal basically saying pay or we will take you to court. I fully understand the need to exercise their duties but the lack of any further response to my communications.

We will not hear any further information from you. It is simply a profit making solicitor with no ethics. You can be fair and professional and still execute your clients requests.

I’ve received a fine for a parking ticket that I have paid , I have receipts for both the car par and the bank , they are still harassing me and threatening court action . I’ve done nothing wrong, I left the car park before my time was up , the machine was faulty and only accepted the last letters of my registration number. I’m standing firm on this , no way I’m paying, I should be receiving an apology not a hefty fine !

Take these guys to court. Thats what i'm doing. I dont know how they keep getting away with it! I went to a restaraunt and the waitress entered the number plate incorrectly (not my fault) and I get a pcn, I sent evidence and bank statement showing I paid for the meal at the restaraunt. All evidence was ignored and they threatened me with court action. I paid in protest as I am sick and use crutches so for now I paid but I will be taking legal action against them 100% for the sady practices they apply. sick people targeting the vulnerable.

Should be zero a firm full of threats works hand in hand with Minister Baywatch of York a so called parking company ,would not answer my question,just pay and pay and pay,I did in the end to get the bastards of my back

I’m surprised at McDonald’s for using this company to take me to court for parking on their free car park but over staryed by 16 minutes, I wasn’t parked the whole time as it took me over 20 minutes to find a space, I’m going to Court I am honest person, they are total scammers with their tiny notices you can’t read when entering a car park it’s disgusting they are scammers not solicitors
update: i stuck this out they took me to court and i won in court,

I've called them several times, spoken to a different person each time. Unhelpful and rude each time. Seems it must be a pre-requisite of employment at Gladstones.

Like pretty much everyone has stated they are scammers.

They are lazy people who have very little intelligence who prey upon the hard working decent people.

They purposely sent the action for court to my old address. They knew it was my old address as they had been sending correspondence to my new address apart from that one. Funny that.

I have received a letter/email for the 3rd time, them claiming I'm the owner of a car, which, countless times I've given proof to which I do not own, still, they hassel me, closing the case, accepting the proof from DVLA then, send me out another email, to which they do not listen on the phone, instead they strong arm and threaten you.
Their customer service is poor, they have no complaints or dispute department over the phone, instead, you are given an email, to which they don't respond.

I have sought advice and assistance from Action Fraud and the DVLA as proof I do not own the vehicle in question, yet they delete all correspondence.

They're liars and scammers and I'd suggest not replying to their emails or letters, that is, if your case is genuine and you've done nothing wrong.
Once they have your details on file, they will harass you with similar penalties and fines, until you pay.
Don't do it.
Once you've proven your case, they should simply leave you alone, but they don't.

As people have already mentioned I would not give any stars either to this disgusting company who call them selves solicitors.Two years on and I am still being pursued by this horrible company for a. Parking fine in a car park I never parked in .Disgusting behaviour from people who are supposed to support people.Vile company.In my opinion should not be operating as solicitors

If I could give negative stars I would. Unsure how anyone who works here has passed any kind of legal exam. Will not entertain any kind of conversation, just threatens court. I paid to park in a carpark in Manchester - got a fine. Sent evidence of the ticket with bank statement but said this is not enough. Needed more evidence of me parking there? Poor customer service, completely unhelpful.

There must be a God who will enact justice, as I can't believe companies like this exist (including the parking company). There is a special place in hell for the owners of such companies. Immoral pure and simple.

My score would be zero but unfortunately one is the minimum.
For nearly a year I have been pursued by this company over a £2.00 parking dispute. They are very intimidating and do not take in account any evidence or information given to them. I parked in a local car park in Shrewsbury and paid £2.00 with their online app. This was only the second time I had parked here and I found the app quite confusing - then made the mistake of entering my registration number incorrectly . I have explained the circumstances over and over again plus supplied them with a copy of my bank statement which proves that the £2.00 parking charge was paid on the day. My fine has now increased to £155 but I will not be paying it and would advise the same to anyone in a similar position . I will now be speaking to local MP to why we are using parking companies like this in our town.
