Terrible delivery and service experience
The absolute worst service experience. First and last time using Gerhard’s Appliances. I was emailed two delivery time frames. I accepted 8-12am. Driver calls me @ 6:31am asking where I am? Shows up @ 7:08am. We were sleeping. I contact the driver and he tells me I should have been ready. Customer Service is not available until 9am to discuss the matter. I email customer service, explain the situation and ask them to contact me. No one contacts me. The only email I receive is a confirmation my order is cancelled. No explanation for what happened or an apology for the inconvenience. I would rather pay more money elsewhere than deal with this level of poor service again. I was ready @ 7:30am for my delivery window of 8am-12. Your drivers decided to make their own schedule with total disregard for the customer and your customer service team provided zero concern.
Horrible Customer Service
I bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from Gerhards in August, 2024. The unit required 2 services from Frigidaire the first year while it was under warranty. The unit broke down for a 3rd time 1 month after the warranty expired. Frigidaire wanted $300 just to send a service rep, so I called Gerhards asking if they could either take the defective unit back and apply a credit towards a new one or repair it. I was basically told it's not their problem, to deal with the manufacturer. NEVER buy anything from Gerhard!
Outrageous charges for repairs
Outrageous charges for repairs. Bought a washer 12/2023. Front lid lock broke already which I knew & told to the repair man who was there for 5 minutes. $380 to repair. $40 for the part. Whitmans Appliance is way more reliable & charge half the cost.
Do not buy high end appliances here
Do not buy high end appliances here! I bought a floor model wolf warming drawer and they charged me more than $100 for installation and told me I was going to have to pay an additional $200 since they had to cut the cabinet. The men delivered it and dropped it on my floor and said they were not going to cut any cabinet despite the salesperson telling me "don't worry we do it all the time". Thank God there was a certified wolf team installing my wolf double ovens at the same time (Thank God I didn't buy them at Gerhards! I almost did!). They took over where the Gerhards team left, and installed the drawer. Not only that but the drawer was assembeled improperly and they had to take it apart and use parts from their truck to fix it! They couldn't even believe the poor service of Gerhards! I had to pay them $300 plus I gave them an extra $50 for being so kind. The Gerhards team told me I would not be charged for installation. I have been in touch with the store no less than 4 times in the past 4 weeks since it was installed and they have not refunded me the installation charge. ALSO I LEARNED FROM WOLF/SUBZERO THAT GERHARDS DOES NOT HAVE CERTIFIED INSTALLERS. THE STORE TELLS YOU THAT YOU GET A TWO YEAR WARRENTY BUT YOU ONLY GET THAT IF YOU HAVE A WOLF CERTIFIED INSTALLER. THEY ARE LYING AND THEY ARE CROOKS.They should be ashamed of themselves! Stay clear!
Dishonest about more than one thing
The installer s claimed that they were unable to install the dishwasher because the shuttle valve was corroded. My son came over and used channel locks and got the water shut off without any difficulty. The installers told me for $240 they could replace the shut off valve. the store reimbursed me the installation fee and is now recharging me to have it installed but now I am nine days out from when I was supposed to get it installed. They have not compensated me at all. The salesman told me I would get $850 in rebates, and I am not eligible for that amount and rebates , so that was false information also.

I bought a dishwasher from Gerhard's and am very pleased. Erik, our salesman, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. This is the third appliance I've bought from them and had a great experience every time.
Totally ignored for 35 minutes
I drove there tonight with my husband, prepared to buy about 26k of appliances, there was one employee and one customer when we arrived, we got nothing for 35 minutes but ignored, my husband went to track employee down and he was showing the customer pics on his phone and laughing, we left. This is why no one bothers going to stores anymore, treated as if we were ghosts

Purchased a dishwasher recently and was helped by a salesman named Jason. He was very knowledgeable
and answered all my questions in a courteous fashion. It was a pleasure dealing with him and I expect that the delivery and installation go equally as well.

Dishwasher lasted 14 months
Dishwasher lasted 14 months. Repairman said it was damaged during installation, which Gerhards did! Gerhards is not willing to do anything to correct this!
The level of customer service is exceptional
I was looking for a new microwave oven and Gerhard's was having their black Friday sale. I was approached by a sales person named Jason who displayed an exceptional degree of patience, congeniality, and knowledge of the products. I do not frequently leave reviews but thought that Jason earned this one. I will be a repeat customer at Gerhard's and the company is fortunate to have him as an employee.
Sold a Dehumidifier that didn’t work
Sold a Dehumidifier that didn’t work, told service man would call week to 10 days, called 2weeks later no call, was told call manufacturer!
They suck!
No action or accountability
Purchased my entire kitchen appliances from them several years ago and was very pleased. On October 16, I went and purchased a new washer and dryer. I was told that they couldn’t deliver until October 21st. When they delivered on the 21st, the dryer door was shattered. We, of course, refused delivery.
I immediately called the store to get a replacement. I was told on that day that they had plenty of stock but unfortunately they don’t deliver on weekends so the earliest I could get it would be Tuesday, October 25th. I called at 9:00 on Monday, the 24th to set up a delivery time. They,of course, had to call me back. Brianna informed me that they would deliver the new one on Wednesday, October 26th and that I would receive a call Tuesday afternoon to confirm a timeframe.
Never received a call.
Called 9:00 Wednesday morning and spoke to yet another salesperson. That person told me that Anthony or Kelly in delivery would call me back in 10 - 15 minutes. No call.
After 4 hours, I called back and spoke to Kelly in delivery who proceeded to tell me that “someone” from Doylestown was supposed to call me and discuss “options.” She then transferred me to Doylestown.
So now I’m talking to someone in Doylestown who says she doesn’t know why they transferred me to their store and there is no record of a new dryer being “ordered” and was there a convenient time NEXT WEEK for me to schedule delivery.
I have no dryer….washing my clothes and hanging them on my fence to dry…which is impossible in this weather.
Absolutely no one in Gerhard’s has taken responsibility and doesn’t seem in any hurry at all to get me my dryer. It’s a shame…
I like to shop at local family owned businesses instead of big box stores but will never go back to them after this experience.

It's all about great and consistent customer service
Earlier this week I purchased a new washing machine at your Doylestown store location. Brian Friedman was the sales representative who waited on me. The store was very busy that morning, and although I only waited a few minutes Brian apologized for the wait. I tend to ask a lot of questions and Brian took the time to answer each one and provide me with options that I needed. Rachel Prince in customer service handled my check out. She was great to deal with as well. Over the next couple of days I emailed Rachael with multiple questions on meeting competitor pricing, extended warranty options and rebates. Each day she got back to me promptly, and always with friendly attitude.. Rachael was also able to provide me with a refund, meeting a competitor's sale price.
There are many appliance retailers to compete with today, but most no longer have good and consistent customer service. Pricing is very difficult to compete with these days, but Gerhard's great customer service is what will set them apart from other large retailers. Please express my thanks to both Rachael and Brian for their patience and great service.
