Best avoided, factually incorrect company response
Bought a strimmer from them via ebay. Listed as new (but in opened box). Item was scuffed and muddy, clearly used. When I contacted the manufacturer they told me that the item was only sold via Argos in a bundle with a mower. Clearly not as advertised...you have been warned...
Their reply below is completely false. This is NOT the price I paid and I did NOT receive any refund. Presumably this is what they did for the customer who previously purchased this "new item". Misreprestenting the facts only reinforces the need to avoid GED. Look how many 1 star reviews they have....

We are disappointed by this review as it omits a significant part of what actually occurred.
We do not sell brand-new products. Our business specialises in open-box, shop-return, refurbished and used goods, and we have traded successfully on eBay since 2004 whilst maintaining compliance with marketplace policies and customer service standards.
In this particular case, the customer contacted us regarding the condition of the item received. Upon reviewing the information provided, we immediately identified that the incorrect grade item had been dispatched and apologised for the error.
We offered the customer the choice of returning the item for a full refund or retaining it with a substantial partial refund reflecting the lower grade condition. The customer chose to keep the item and accepted a £15 refund, reducing the purchase price to £35.
Whilst we acknowledge that a grading error occurred, we believe it is only fair that readers are aware that the issue was acknowledged immediately, a resolution was offered straight away, and the customer elected to keep the item at the reduced price.
Simple transaction
Ordering was simple and trimmer arrived on time. Advertised as refurbished but could have done with a bit better clean. Works ok

The review does not reflect the service provided, particularly where the item has been successfully delivered according to the carrier's records.

"Spear & Jackson S18EHP Cordless Pole Hedge Trimmer - 18V (No Battery & No Charger)"
The product description also stated:
"Please note, this is a used item, fully tested prior to dispatch. Please note that this item is sold without the battery & charger."
Both the absence of the battery and charger and the used condition of the item were therefore clearly detailed within the listing.
Our response simply clarified these points and provided our standard returns information should you have wished to return the item.

I never, write reviews, not bad one's! BUT, after my experience with this company, and their reaction to a genuine complaint. Then, contacting my bank for help and advice, I now am! I bought a 'refurbished', lawnmower that I paid £60.00 for. (Minus, battery and charger that would have taken the cost, to the price of a brand new mower!) I communicated my concerns to GED, attaching photos. Their final response, after debate, was: I could return it, at my own cost. I am happy to add photos, that I supplied to my bank to verify this review. I have been prompted several times by Trustpilot to verify my details with GED on this site, with consequences of my post being taken down. I have done so. To be abundantly CLEAR. I went through ALL the correct channels to resolve this issue. GED, who have been more concerned to responding to my review, (That incidentally I can't respond to without editing my original post on Trustpilot!) I have had NO further communication from GED re my complaint of receiving faulty goods, that contravene the Trade Description Act. I have contacted a reputable Consumer Agency for advice. I have learned a harsh lesson here, and will definitely read through all reviews before, committing to purchasing online.

We are disappointed to read this review as it does not reflect the full circumstances of this transaction.
The product purchased was advertised as a USED item and was clearly described in the listing as:
"Spear & Jackson SCR3637A / 6796019 37cm Cordless Rotary Lawnmower - 36V (No Battery, No Charger) - USED ITEM"
The listing further stated that the item was a used product which had been fully tested prior to dispatch.
After receiving the customer's photographs and concerns, we reviewed the matter and advised that if the item was not considered suitable, it could be returned to us for inspection and refund. This option was offered directly to the customer.
The item was never returned to us, meaning we were unable to inspect it further or verify the concerns raised. Despite this, the customer subsequently raised a chargeback through their bank and obtained a full refund.
To date, the item has not been returned to our warehouse and remains fully refunded.
We always endeavor to resolve genuine concerns fairly and professionally and are disappointed that the return option offered was not pursued before the matter was escalated.
Faulty Product Supplied & No Refund Given On Returned Item
My daughter bought a Challenge 10 Litre Dehumidifier from GED Outlet through Amazon in January. The dehumidifier received had a faulty cooling element so did not extract any water. She requested a return through Amazon but the return label generated was not pre-paid and there was no way of requesting a different label. Had Amazon been the seller she would have been sent a pre-paid label to return faulty goods and would have been automatically refunded upon proof of postage. She paid herself to return it to GED Outlet using Royal Mail Tracked 48, following which she was sent proof of delivery by Royal Mail. No communication whatsoever was received from GED Outlet since the return in February regarding a refund for the item and the return postage. She has now contacted Amazon Customer Service who were excellent and have refunded her for both the Dehumidifier and the postage. Based on her experience and that of other reviewers it appears that this company often pays lip service to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Avoid!
