Avoid Dr Clozza Reg No 253700

As per earlier reviews with regard Dr Clozza the GDC have done nothing. He refuses to offer his insurance details for remedial treatment in short he was not adequately insured per the GDC guidelines. He continues to practice at various clinics under the guise of EMC Referrals. All clinics will be forwarded to the GDC albeit they will do nothing. The organisation should be scrapped.

Dear Sir,
I despair at the extremely poor service that the GDC have provided for me
I made a complaint to the GDC over 4 years ago about a local dentist who treated me at his practice in Alsager Stoke-on-Trent. The treatment was diabolical in many ways. I decided to take legal action against the practitioner and was eventually awarded £3000.
It has taken an unacceptable and ridiculous amount of time for the case to be heard by the fitness to practice committee. I attended a hearing ( by video link) at the beginning of January.
The hearing was rushed and not conducted properly, in my opinion, although I was given the opportunity to give evidence under oath. I have not had any information so far about the outcome of the case. I did receive an email from Capsticks Solicitors although it was still not clear about the outcome..
I have been in contact with my MP Mrs Sarah Russell to express my concerns about this case and the GDCs complacency.
Unbelievably I have recently discovered that the Dentist is still practicing dentistry at his Alsager Practice. Does it not occur to the decision makers at the GDC that if members of the public realised that a complaint could take over 4 years to complete would they bother complaining , NO . In my opinion as a retired CDT and a former member of the Royal College of surgeons the whole system is broken. The GDC was formed in 1956 so dentistry could be self regulated and more importantly protect the public from illegal or unprofessional practice.
It must be obvious to anyone that this regulatory body is not fit for purpose and needs reorganizing and answerable for its actions

The GDC fails its statutory duty to protect the public

The General Dental Council (GDC) and the Dental Complaints Service (DCS) have demonstrated a significant procedural failure in their handling of fitness to practise concerns. Despite being presented with independent clinical evidence and specific discrepancies in medical records (records integrity), the GDC dismissed the matter as "outside their remit."

Instead of utilising their regulatory powers to investigate a lack of electronic audit trails, the GDC’s response had the practical effect of protecting the registrant rather than the public interest. Furthermore, the decision on 2 February 2026 to invoke "unacceptable behaviour" policies against a complainant for highlighting these regulatory gaps creates a chilling effect on transparency.

When a regulator prioritises internal procedural convenience over the objective investigation of evidence, it undermines public confidence in the entire dental profession. This is a clear case of regulatory avoidance.

The GDC is a criminal organization organized by people who never been in a dental practice in their life. The NHS dental care quality is the poorest among most European countries. But when you do talk to this well dressed people in nice suits you get the impression you are in private dental practice in New York. I have seen some shit hall dental practices which I haven't seen anywhere in rest of Europe.
The UDA scam and the quality of dental standard is below any standards in western country.
This guys from GDC talk about record keeping, treatment quality etc you think vow that is a high quality dental system. In reality all poor people in UK go abroad a get a least a bit of decent treatment even if is in turkey. The all world loughs about English teeth. Removal dentures are in 90% of the cases the standard therapy :-)

GDC is the biggest con there ever was!

GDC is the biggest con there ever was!.

We have been trying to book ORE part 1 exam for over a year but they deliberately slow down their website so people can't book their exams. There is just so much wrong with this so called money making scam that it's hard to put to words.

500 seats for the whole of the world, what an absolute joke when you have 1000s of students trying to book from UK alone let alone the rest of the world.

Nerve damage suppressed by the profession: PART 2 of 2

...CONTINUED FROM PART 1:

...As part of a full examination at a new dental practice, I was asked how I brushed my teeth. I replied exactly as I did at QRDC, and the dentist said one word- "perfect".

I was subsequently referred to a dental surgeon who diagnosed nerve damage and recommended tricyclic medicine. Trauma was deferred on the basis that pain was widespread, not localised. No scan was taken.

I have used Amytriptyline, Pregabalin and Paroxetine. At one point recently I was taken off medication briefly but the pain became intense again. The pain is controlled at a low to medium level as at August 2025. The medication has serious side effects.

Overall the pains have been as follows:

Cold sensivity: very high initially reducing to low.
Headache: starting ten days after the treatment and still present.
Toothache: very high, reducing after 4 months and now fluctuating controlled by medication.
Feeling that teeth are in the wrong place, loose and tender in the roots: present only when closing my jaw but never becoming a stabbing pain, unaffected by medication.

Dental workers must be registered with the General Dental Council (GDC). The GDC's mission is to protect the public.

I made a complaint about my treatment and a case was opened (CAS-206905-K6W0T1). The case was closed on 1st October 2024 with no action. Included in the reasoning:

"sensitivity is a recognised symptom following scaling...it will normally subside after a few days".

"the care supplied to you was below the expected level for some aspects of the care, but the standard of practice was not unsatisfactory"

I was made aware of a "Rule 9" process (which cannot reverse the original decision), Judicial Review, complaints form, etc. I have not attempted any of these as I have no expectation that it would make any difference.

Please, give me writing answer on my letters


I experienced ongoing issues with dental prostheses provided by Dentistry trading as CastleView Dental (dr. Rita Pais and Dr. David Winkler, retired) from November 2018 till March 2025, when afraid for my life my husband took a credit and sent me to Turkey and local Dentistry Dentakey did a very good job for 3,5 days.
All CastleView Dental prostheses did not last more than 2 weeks, were uncomfortable, with an angle to the horizontal, insufficient to my bite therefore always had cracklings and loose screws . I swallowed even 1 of my splintered false teeth . Prostheses were unsuitable with regards to my face, and made me walk sideways. Almost everything that happened was put in my Medical Notes . Sometimes with small irregularities, sometimes with huge ones.
But there are no documents about my informed consent I will be coming to Windsor from Northampton every 3 months within 5,5 years; will pay all money upfront and then will go to Portugal for my expenses in my Medical Notes . I asked about diagnosis, because I already lost my own teeth and set of implants via medical negligence. I did not want another one errors in making implant-retained prosthesis, nobody starts doing it without diagnosis and does not connect implants directly to the prosthesis without multi unit abutments under different angles. Also in my Medical Notes there is no recommendation, what should I do with my bottom teeth, which I almost lost...and many other required notes regarding my oral health.
First prosthesis makers were Portugal's team of Paulo Malo without British license. They came to CastleView Dental before Covid and Brexit with their own equipment and materials . I found it out about half year ago and GDC supposed to investigated this matter but I did not get a response.I believe it was tax violation, immigration Law violation and Care Act 2014 violation throughout my treatment and now I am, hardly survived after this "treatment" (coma in 2021), going through Law violation after my claim was accepted by the Court online, I had a mediation but 2 layers of different Firms and 2 different barristers of the Defendant made public statements about absence of a liability of the CastleView Dental/ Docs UK Limited/Apollonia LTD Current owner' , dr. Alfonso Rao.
This offence of dr. Rao does not need to be proved by me, it should be investigated by Dental Complaints Service (DCS), General Dental Council (GDC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC). But they kept quiet and refused to give me writing responses. It does not need to be proven by me , that dr. Alfonso Rao knew about my problem with a dental prosthesis (I came to CastleView Dental 30 times during his directorship) and got massive health issues because of the dental negligence and loss of a substantial amount of money paid on account of CastleView Dental, name of account DOCS UK Limited. But anyway dr. Alfonso Rao gave far from truthful and misleading information in his witness statement from 03.07.2025. I hope, not only get an answer about investigation of dr. RAO, I believe, the Criminal offence will apply to all members of CastleView Dental who turned blind eye on my torture as a whole ( as a legal corporate entity) and to members of the GDC team, who sent me answers out of working time. I believe members of GDC team were committing an offence not investigating properly my cases CAS -208391-S1T6F7; CAS208382-ROD6V9; 11449086;

Not fit for purpose

Not fit for purpose. After many, many months and gathering information, the gdc did absolutely nothing for me as a patient. No help whatsoever. They have no powers and can only advise the dentists , who of course choose to ignore them..I find it very scary that the private dental companys have no regulatory bodies. Which in fact gives them free reign to do anything. What is gdc's purpose? Who pays them?

GDC registered an unqualified man as a dentist

The GDC registered Mr Amofa as a dentist off a dodgy certificate he got from Ghana. Mr Amofa was unqualified & incompetent. I had congenitally absent lower 2nd premolars Mr Amofa offered me braces, he mistook the lower first molars for 2nd premolars and extracted them when I went back for the braces he said, "sorry I cant help you", he knew hed extracted the wrong teeth. A doctor of teeth that couldn't tell the difference between 2nd premolars and first molars, the first molar extractions caused by jaws to develop recessed and asymmetrical. Why extract healthy teeth from chidrens mouths especially when their jaws are still growing? This barbaric backward practice is backed by the GDC, soon all the crap the GDC has been doing is going to catch up to the with them, the GDC isnt innocent it is the head of the venomous snake responsible for destroying thousands of lives. For the passed 25 years the GDC has fobbed me off, telling me Amofa was selfemployed not mentioning he was unqualified and should never have been allowed to register in the first place. The GDC is not fit for purpose, only interested in £, but when it comes to rectifying their mistakes they're not interested, they ruin lives with their incompetence and greed. Somebody needs to teach them a lesson that exposes them, shows them that they can't ruin lives and get away with it. The law is there to protect these corrupt backward establishments, mandates that don't benefit the public. The GDC has known for decades that teeth extractions in kids damage faces but they don't give a sh!t, it's all about the gravy train for them the £. I wont let the GDC get away with what they did to me, there has to be justice, hopefully soon, even if I have to get justice for myself.

Please Allow Dr Amir To Return To Work NOW!

Come on GDC! Surely you’ve read all of these amazing testimonials regarding Dr Amir in Putney. And still no change. Why not? It’s time you answered these people. These patients and others whom are in desperate need of his knowledge, professionalism and expertise. It’s time to own up to your disgraceful decision and re-evaluate. Time waits for no one. Life is short and lives are on the line here. You could have blood on your hands. Please listen to those who know as opposed to those who don’t. Dr Amir saved my life in 2015 and I’m happy to share that. Thank Goodness for him. The NHS have no understanding of the jaw. He needs to share his knowledge to help more people. To alleviate the burden and cost on the NHS. Surely, everyone can see this. We will all campaign until you change your view. And definitely change your lack of care, empathy and understanding of pain and suffering. Isn’t that your job!

GDC was set up to protect the Dental professionals, Not the public

This is the worst system that it should not be confusing, what is their JOB, their job is to protect the interest of dental professionals. that is all, don't be confused that it can protect public too, No, That is not the case, If any dentist caused injury to you, that is all, their job is to defend them against you and that is why it was set up in 1956, and you can't take them to court because the dentist who injured you will not give you his/er registration number with GDC and you can't access easily their registers, it is not like the kind of company house register which is made easily accessible by member of public, the dentist in question make sure that he will not give you the registration until after 3 years elapsed or about to expire, by law, you can't bring any case to any dentist after 3 years, this work perfectly correct, GDC can't even give you the registration of any dental professional if you ask, they will referred you to their register which is impossible to use, because it will be asking you to search by the the same number you are trying to find in the first place why you are there, and if search by names nothing will come up or it will be given after 3 years as it is the case with me.

They can close the case if they found out that the case is tilting against their members without giving you the reasons and will not be reopen, you can do nothing about it, there is no Government body you can refer your case to for review or complaint to, That is the loophole, if you can manage to get the registration number of the dental professional who injured you and sued him/er, they will come to defend their members in court and if you win the case, No one to pay you then, not even the Government and if you died of the same injury then that is the bonus for the GDC. From 1956- 2024, No Government body appointed to deal with killing hand of the dentist, it time to make patient voice to be heard, not even ombudsmen exist, this is shameful.

The worst booking system I've ever seen!

The worst booking system I've ever seen.
The E-GDC is a completely joke. You have to pay £3000 to book an ORE part 2 examination. Not only the price is exorbitant but also there is not enough space to book the exam. It's the third time trying to book this and I can't. Log in the right time, click the booking button at exactly 14:30 and the results are always the same. Fully booked. Now I have to wait for the next year which will cost over £4000. It's disgraceful. Really disappointed with UK GDC.

Not in a place to judge

They are judging dental health professionals but are far from perfect themselves.

I have seen so many errors and their solicitors acting for dentists will tell you of numerous failures by the GDC.

Its the SS of UK dentistry and their powers are scary and based on bias and people who want to score points within their organisation.
