South Charnwood, syston.Theres still the ongoing problem with the WiFi not working in the gym. This has been down majority of the year so far. The same thing happened least year in the summer when the WiFi went down for about 4 months. I like to listen to music when I’m training on my phone but I can’t do this due to not being able to get phone signal in the gym so that’s why WiFi is a key part to the gym. With the gym memberships going up I think this needs resolving otherwise people will be leaving.

Great gym! Good variety of equipment as well as a large pool and sauna.
Lots of classes to choose from. Tried my first weightlifting class with Emma which I thoroughly enjoyed!

Very friendly helpful staff.

High Wycombe Lido

I have been a dedicated member of John Bunyan Sports and Fitness Centre for two years, consistently honoring my monthly direct debit. Unfortunately, the transition of my Fusion account to Better UK has been far from the seamless process promised.

Over the past two weeks, my attempts to address issues with class access through customer service have been unproductive. Despite multiple communications, there has been neither resolution nor adequate response. Adding to the frustration, conflicting information from your staff has left me bewildered. Initially advised to handle the matter via email, I was later instructed to rejoin the gym, canceling the previous membership with Fusion.

This inconsistency and lack of clarity are unacceptable. Having faithfully paid Fusion, I expected a smooth transfer to Better UK. Regrettably, due to this disheartening experience, I am compelled to cancel my direct debit and sever ties with the gym. The unclear notice period adds further complexity, given my declined access to the gym due to the absence of a Better UK membership.

I urge you to promptly investigate, enhance internal communication, and take corrective action to prevent similar issues for other members. This experience has led me to decline any future association with John Bunyan Sports and Fitness Centre.

Switched to Southend gym for the sauna, steam room and hot tub. It’s closed indefinitely due to undisclosed reasons. My old gym was £10/month cheaper and had much better equipment. Very disappointed.

Absolutely rubbish customer service. I booked ice skating for my daughters birthday. Accidently booked the wrong date. I noticed the mistake and contacted immediately. Due to ts and Cs they won't help me transfer the date. This Skating has cost me nearly £40 and now they are keeping it due to this silly mistake. Why on earth would you treat people like this?! I'm not asking for a refund just to change my booking to the date I wanted.

After Making a fuss through several channels this has now been resolved. Shame I had to take up so much of everyone's time for a resolution that would have happened in around 30 seconds!

Firstly I would like to complement the staff that work at Wycombe Rye Lido their customer service is excellent and they do their very best to meet their customers needs

Although I received excellent support from the lido staff who work day to day at the center I am very disappointed that Fusions has decided to allow this individual access to the pool. I was reassured at the the time that Fusion took appropriate action and acknowledge that at the time they took this seriously This is not the first complaint made about this individual . I know the response will be that the incident was fully investigated and whilst i accept it was investigated there were clearly gaps in the investigation I am just highlighting this as other members may have concerns though hopefully not. I acknowledge that Fusion might well have been tied to a decision in line with procedure/policy. I would like Fusion to relook at polices in regards to violence and would hope to see posters displaying zero tolerance policy in areas that are visible to all . I have only rated one star in relation to this and not to the center itself as I would be happy to score 5 based on customer service

I would give zero stars if I could. I use the Park Road leisure centre. Just as an example, for many months, in the men’s changing room there are broken leaking screaming showers, broken / missing soap trays, broken / missing locker doors, ceiling tiles missing, wires hanging down from the ceiling. I have written to fusion and to the manager at the centre with no response. There is no visibility of any activity to make things better. In summary, this is the worst run enterprise I have ever come across. The fact that I pay money for this and that this situation has been allowed to persist for so long is utterly disgraceful

Despite Brockwell Lido having the potential for an exceptional workout or relaxation experience, the current state falls short, especially considering the membership costs. The facility is in dire need of renovation, as other leisure centers with more affordable memberships offer cleaner, updated workout studios. While the instructors are commendable, additional equipment in the workout studios, especially during body pump classes, would significantly enhance the overall experience.

The teachers very kind and professional and funny at the same time.

I cannot express my dissatisfaction at the lack of communication with Fusion Lifestyle over my refund. I have recently sent TWO letters to head office and have still not received any response from anyone at Fusion. This is on top of the complaints on their website and reviews on this site and several emails. I have tried to phone but constant answerphone on. An absolutely shocking way to do business and treat customers.

It would be lovely to have a canteen in Fusion Lifestyle where we can sit and have a cup of tea and a cake vegan please or soft drinks and some snacks . I Was referring to Fusion Lifestyle at Park Road Crouch End .And like to see bit more clean Toilets .

Definately need more group classes. It's very hard to book a class as they become full within minutes of opening of the class booking. When on a waiting list it then becomes very difficult to book a cancelled space unless you constantly check for spaces. The classes are too big too. I'm referring to Garons Sothend on Sea tennis & Leisure Centre.

Was a member of their Enfield Gym from October 2021 until April 2023, cancelled membership in April which was confirmed by themselves and paid my 30 day cancellation fee for May and was instructed not to cancel my direct debit as they would do it for me.
Fusion had continued to take monthly payments until it was noticed in November 2023, direct debit was cancelled and began to attempt contact with fusion to get a refund.
Contact is near impossible with them and only can be done through emailing them on their website. After some time I got a response in which they have admitted their mistake and promised a refund in 21-30 days, after over a month no refund was forthcoming, and after several days of trying to get a response from them, I finally received one apologising saying the refund would definitely be in my account by the end of January 2024, again no refund, and no response.
Left with no choice but to begin legal proceedings, as I have been reasonable with them even though they have taken several months of unauthorised payments from my account, and they have admitted this.
Would advise people to steer clear of this company, and if cancelling a membership, ignore their advice and cancel all direct debits with them directly with your bank yourself, they are not to be trusted.

2 months since my cycle class was cancelled by Rayleigh Leisure Centre and I still haven't received my refund 😡😡😡

Me and my partner joined the gym in wells on the 5th of January.

Approximately a week after joining the boiler broke so the showers at the gym stopped working. We both like to shower at the gym so this not working was a big concern for us. We called the gym and spoke to members of the team in person about this who assured us that this would be fixed soon.

As we were told this we didn’t cancel our membership within the initial 14 days where they legally had to allow me to cancel. If we were told the truth that, over two weeks later they still wouldn’t know when it’d be fixed, we would have left before these 14 days were up.

We’ve also had problems with our cards where my partners wouldn’t work for a period. The Wi-Fi in the gym also only works when it’s quiet which is frustrating.

Due to all of these reasons, but primarily the lack of showering facilities we wanted to cancel our membership, but we were told that we would have to pay for another month before we can leave.
I raised this with the general manager who informed me it is too late to stop the money for next month coming out of my account and they refuse to refund me once this has come out.

I wouldn’t recommend them one bit. Giving at least a month’s notice for cancellation is fine in usual times but appalling when your facilities aren’t working.

My sons swimming lesson was cancelled back in September 2023. I am still waiting for a refund over 4 months later!!! The managers at the Witham centre are not very helpful and all i get is an apology but no action seems to be taken in giving me my refund back. Why it takes 4 months to give me one lessons money back is beyond me.
