I would like to share my experience with the WaterWay Mermaid monofin.
The fin offers very good propulsion and performs well for straight swimming. However, after less than one year of use, a structural crack appeared during regular mermaiding practice.
According to the manufacturer’s own explanation, this type of damage can occur due to repeated stress from blade “cupping” during dynamic movements such as turns, spins, and multidirectional figures — even without any contact with the pool wall or floor.
This is important, because these types of movements are a normal part of mermaiding practice, not an exceptional use.
At the moment, there is no clear information provided to users regarding these structural limits. This can lead to misunderstandings about what the monofin is actually designed to withstand.
I believe this product would benefit from clearer communication about its limitations, especially for practitioners who include rotations and dynamic movements in their practice.
Unfortunately, no replacement or compensation was offered in this case.
Overall, a good fin for propulsion, but with limitations that should be clearly stated.
It is also worth noting that the manufacturer states that this type of crack is not repairable. A temporary solution (drilling a small stop-hole) may help limit further propagation, but it does not guarantee long-term or safe use.
In practice, this type of damage significantly compromises the usability of the monofin under normal mermaiding conditions.

Je souhaite partager mon expérience avec la monopalme WaterWay Mermaid.
La palme offre une très bonne propulsion et est performante pour la nage en ligne droite. Cependant, après moins d’un an d’utilisation, une fissure structurelle est apparue lors d’une pratique normale du mermaiding.
Selon les explications du fabricant lui-même, ce type de dommage peut survenir en raison de contraintes répétées liées à la courbure de la lame (“cupping”) lors de mouvements dynamiques tels que les rotations, vrilles et figures multidirectionnelles — même sans aucun contact avec le mur ou le fond du bassin.
Cela est important, car ces mouvements font partie intégrante de la pratique du mermaiding et ne constituent pas un usage exceptionnel.
À ce jour, aucune information claire n’est fournie aux utilisateurs concernant ces limites structurelles. Cela peut entraîner une mauvaise compréhension de ce que la monopalme est réellement capable de supporter.
Je pense que ce produit gagnerait à communiquer plus clairement sur ses limites, en particulier pour les pratiquants qui intègrent des rotations et des mouvements dynamiques dans leur pratique.
Malheureusement, aucune solution de remplacement ni compensation n’a été proposée dans ce cas.
En résumé, une bonne palme pour la propulsion, mais avec des limites qui mériteraient d’être clairement indiquées.
À noter également que le fabricant précise que ce type de fissure n’est pas réparable. Une solution temporaire (perçage d’un trou d’arrêt) peut éventuellement limiter l’extension de la fissure, mais cela ne garantit pas une utilisation durable ni sécurisée.
Dans les faits, ce type de dommage compromet fortement l’usage de la monopalme dans des conditions normales de pratique.

I received a bill from FedEx after paying quite a bit of money to have the items shipped to me. I don’t care if your TOS stated there may be additional charges. You should be a little bit more upfront about this. Not hide it in very small fine print. You also put a value of $50 on the shipping to avoid paying extra fees for export. I will report this that you’re not putting accurate values for items shipped to avoid paying additional duty taxes.

Ordered fin foot pockets as US 6-7, came as 5-6.
Order says EUR 38-39 and on the fins but they say US 5-6? Their size charts are all messed up. Customer service is slow and poor and the import fees are high. They will probably make me pay another $78 just return them. So I will be in $150 and still have no fins haha. Other reviews similar to mind. Hope you see this before you order anything’s.
Freedivershop.com error ignored
I ordered a reputable brand of swimming fin (powerfin) and I am a size 43 ordinarily. I have swimming fins and freedive fins in the 43-44 size (use a dive sock in my Cressi 43s). I ordered 44-46 to be on the safe size and planned to use a sock. The fins arrived and despite having 44-46 on the fin they are a 41-42 at best. No way can I even get my foot half way in. Freedive Shop say I have to pay to ship them back from Australia to the Ukraine(?) for someone there to assess and potentially refund / exchange. I have already paid for expensive shipping and don't agree I should pay again. I don't trust them and T&Cs say if Freedive error then they should pay. I discovered another freediver had the very same issue with missized 44-46s. Very poor.

Je vais devenir chèvre! J'ai payé €219.38 pour des palmes. On m'a envoyé un e-mail me demandant d'ajouter 45€ car le prix a augmenté. Je fais rapidement le virement et maintenant il faut un justificatif, car ils ne peuvent pas vérifier si le virement a bien été effectué! Depuis une semaine, il n'y a rien qui se passe, alors que cela aurait dû être un cadeau pour Noël...

DONT ORDER WRONG SIZE
I asked for size recommendation and the size they gave was too small. If you order wrong size to US you will spend at least an extra $100 getting the replacement size. Disappointing.

The Freediver shop is the most complete online store for freedivinjg anjd spearfishing i have used, and the equipment they provide is often the best that can be found.
Massive brokerage charges they will not tell you about....
I bought some fins and read the terms that said import taxes may apply. There are tools to calculate these on the web, and at a calculated £90 the purchase was still viable. What these people don't tell you is that they ship via a UPS service that also adds a "brokerage" fee onto the import, which was £145 inc VAT + the £90 actual import tax (£235 extra or 50% on top of list price). Shame on them- they know you will get hit by that huge brokerage fee but do not advertise it or care. Customer help has not made any effort to resolve or help - quoting there “fees and taxes clause” so don't believe any "fluffy" response they may make to this.

Great customer service
I recently bought a rather costly custom-made Elios wetsuit from FreeDiver Shop.
It's the first time I've made such a complex purchase online, but Freediver went out of their way to make the whole process as seamless and easy as possible. They answered all my questions very quickly, and everything arrived bang on time.
I'm also happy to say it's a perfect fit as well.

Product was perfect so no worries there. However, upon arrival, Fedex, suggested there was an exception with delivery. When I looked at the address, the address was inputted incorrectly. I always use my auto fill and I know my ship to home address so I thought that was weird. When I was composing an email to the sender, Fedex called me. They asked me to verify my address. Then when I told the
my correct address, they suggested, not only was the street address name incorrect but, the house number as well. This would have been a logistical nightmare had I not lived in small mountain town because not always does Fedex call you when you live in big cities. I thought maybe I did enter Trail instead of Court. On my order it is wrong too. I’m not sure what is going on over there with shipping and possible computer or human error but, if that happened to me, I’m sure I’m not an anomaly. Please be better with receiving orders, warehouse, to shipping. Having the entire address, number and street incorrect is not good. Hence, three stars. The package came the following day.

25-30% extra charge
so I have ordered freediving goggle that should have cost me 165USD including shipping and ended up paying 190USD partially because the shipping company charged me additional cost that was not mentioned in the online store.
So the product is good I am happy I got it yes but not knowing how much you will pay because Fedex decided to charge me extra is actually very bad and not knowing the products from where they ship is also pretty bad and the website format is so bad that I felt at first I was scammed and that the website might not even exist. But after all if you are willing to pay up to 25-30% on top of the price you see at the onloine shop then yes its a fantastic shop
