SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! do not book!!!!

Bunch of scammers screwing people with fake cheap flights. they sell you cheap flights then immediately call you saying it was a promotional deal and the flight doesn’t include baggage and if I would like to take any luggage they could ‘upgrade my booking’ for £1000. When I told them this was extortion and I wanted to cancel (at this point my booking wasn’t even confirmed) I was rudely told it would be £100 per person cancellation.

Happily my credit card wouldn’t authorise payment and my booking was cancelled but stupidly as it was a such a good deal and the reviews for the website seemed largely good I decided to swallow the luggage issue and rebook. This time it went through but via a different merchant under the name Best Air Fares. And the exact same scenario ensued however I was now also told that in addition to no luggage included in the ticket, it would also not include onboard meals or check in options and again if I wished to feed my children (4 under 7 years old) on the flight and indeed to sit with them, then I’d need to pay a £1000 upgrade. I was also informed I was ‘only being offered this for my convenience’.
None of the details of this so called promotional deal were made clear before booking. I even have a screenshot of the booking page where it clearly states 25kg baggage allowance per ticket. Upon payment for my booking I received an email that my booking was pending confirmation and subsequently received a call making me aware of all the above.

After I wrote my scathing scammer review and reported this ‘company’ to several different authorities, I received a subsequent call telling me that the £100 per ticket would be ‘waived and the costs absorbed by Bestairfares’ but ONLY if I signed a disclaimer confirming that ‘neither I nor any passenger in my party would pursue any further claim/action against the company’ and to remove my review. THEN AND ONLY THEN COULD I BE REFUNDED. I was sent the paperwork to sign by email and then bombarded with phone calls to sign it, pressuring me to do so immediately. I was told it needed to be done by 7pm as this was ‘their companies’ close of play…however when I had failed to comply, I continued to receive calls at 8.30pm that night. The following day when i did eventually take one of the calls and outright refused to sign anything or remove my review, the caller dramatically changed tone, became very rude and started issuing threats eg. he would proceed to authorise my booking at which point I would receive no refund and I wouldn’t be able to get any money back etc. when I told him this was rubbish, that he had no tickets to issue and I would get my money back irrespective of anything he said because credit cards are protected against scumbags that scam people, he told me I was taking advantage and hung up on me. No sooner had he done this, I then started being bombarded aggressively with calls from a similar number with someone speaking at me in a foreign dialect, (same accent as the previous caller), refusing to speak English and calling back over and over again every time I hung up with the clear and obtuse desire to harass me and waste my time. This along with all phone numbers have been reported to the police.

Irrespective of my refusal to comply with the rubbish spurted by these scumbag con-artists and their subsequent empty threats to authorise tickets THEY NEVER HAD, my credit card company recouped the money in full and these people and all their different alias’s (all registered with companies house to the same London based address) have been reported to all relevant authorities. There is a special place in hell for the people operating this scam and I hope it finds them soon.

I want to thank Roger and Shane for helping me with my booking, we had an issue with my return flight but they quickly handled it relieving me from the stress.

Shane from flightforus was helpful, clear and concise throughout. Swapping from one flight to another for me, including and then excluding all variables on offer as i the searched for the most economical and yet comfortable long haul flights.
