I have been with FireFish for 3 years. They are a great company with knowledgeable and helpful staff who come from recruitment agency backgrounds and understand what you need. They are constantly innovating and adding new features to the ATS.
The catch-up review I just had with Scott on Friday, the 14th, helps a great deal. He's a good lad and knows his stuff.
I highly recommend them after spending 24 years in recruitment.

Firefish is, without a doubt, the best database I have used. I have been with them 4 years now and the evolving database with new features at least quarterly has been fundamental in our growth. The support team are phenomenal, I use lots of software, and there isn't a support team who are as responsive and involved in our company as Firefish. They know most of our consultants by name and queries, issues and problems are dealt with so fast. As well as this, they support us to use features better or come up with ideas to help us utilise our data better.

If I could give a ZERO I would. 1 is very generous.
Perhaps the worst piece of software I have ever used. If there were no CRMs/ATS' left I would still not use this.
It's slow, clunky and looks nothing like the demo. Support is useless. Everything about this product is what's wrong with the SaaS world.
Do not sign up to this, you will be disappointed.

I have been using Firefish for around 2 years; I have been in recruitment for 17 years and without doubt is one of the easiest and most user friendly systems out there. In addition the support from the technical team (Scott, David and Callum) is outstanding and on the rare occasion that there are some technical issues they are able to resolve quickly. They are also proactive in setting up follow up meetings to explain all of the new features

Customer service team/support team are excellent - in fact everyone who I have interacted with at Firefish has been helpful and supportive, they always go out of their way to make sure I have the information I need. System was massively oversold and underdelivered. It is the worse CRM system I have used in over twenty years.
The notes section is very poor, these sections have to be clear for recruiters working in a fast paced environment. Especially candidate interview notes

Status Quo:
We have been using firefish for a few weeks but have sadly come to the realisation that it is not a great system for us or our processes. It did not live up to any expectations we had.
The Good:
Firefish onboarding and sales process was smooth and the team were always friendly and helpful. They offer PERM and CONTRACT workflows.
The Bad:
The system was oversold and has sadly under delivered...
We made a checklist to see if firefish was a good system for us. The checklist was filled out by sales and as it had most matches we went for it. Sadly we realised a few things didnt work as we had expected. For example CV parsing was sold to us but it does not work at all other than getting the candidates name. Mainly functions that are sold are all there but they are extremely basic and don't really help consultants using the software much. The system seems slow at times and the overview etc is very outdated. The search functionality does not offer a good functionality and overview. The notes you log against candidates and clients are also a bit hidden.
The processes/workflows are very specific and due to the fact that almost no customisations are allowed it is very restrictive. So if you dont want to work the exact way firefish is set up it wont work for your company.
Summary:
Overall the system does not live up to the sales pitch. Most of the functions that are promised are there but sadly they just dont work at all the way you would expect it from a good ATS/CRM system...
As there is no way to know this before buying the system and the company does not allow any testing or any contract terminations I would strongly advise not to get this system.

What do you like best about Firefish?
The sales representative was friendly, and the LinkedIn integration worked well for contacts and candidates. Basic recruitment processes are acceptable, but the system feels outdated compared to modern CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot.
What do you dislike about Firefish?
Firefish feels outdated and cumbersome, especially compared to modern CRM tools. Standard processes are slow, with no map integration for address input and limited customization options. The search functionality is inadequate and frustrating to use. Many other functions are also outdated, and the overall process is just too slow. Loading delays further hinder productivity. Unfortunately, they don't allow any testing until after you've signed a 12-month contract, which felt particularly unfair as we quickly realized it wasn’t the right fit but were already locked in with no early termination option.
What problems is Firefish solving, and how is that benefiting you?
We hoped Firefish would handle both contract and permanent recruitment but found it outdated and stiff, with limited customization. It's not solving our problems and isn’t enjoyable to use.
Conclusion
Overall, avoid Firefish at all costs! You have no chance to test it thoroughly before committing to a long-term contract. We are bound to a 12-month contract and couldn't fully test the system beforehand. We asked for a early termination due to special reasons to end the contract, but the said no and were only interested in the money. As a young startup, it feels especially mean and unfair that our request for special termination was denied—they just want the money.

AVOID. Pretend to be a small business that cares for small businesses, but are the total opposite and are currently hiding behind contracts when i've asked for help. System still not fully operational after a month - not worth the migration costs to move from other suppliers with. Am now left in an even worse position than when I was with the dumpster fire that is Vincere/Access, which I didn't think was even possible. Broken process where each department is seperate, zero account management once signed up. Holding my data hostage + no way to get out of the contract despite being in financial difficulties. They would sooner see the business go under as long as they get a paycheque. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I stated clearly what went wrong. Trustpilot removed my review, asking me to provide evidence! Since one of my complaints about this intolerably slow interface was that there is no way of saving what one has entered - unless one knows what one is about to endure, one is unlikely to be taking screenshots. So if you are foolhardy enough to try registering, and feel you may have the temerity to complain about the clunkiness of the process at any point, I would suggest taking screenshots as you go. I will be saving this review and re-posting it if it is removed.

Firefish are an outstanding company to deal with and have an outstanding product. From the very first call they have always been very helpful and friendly.
The ATS is feature rich with links between pages that saves a lot of time.
The landing page looks classy, job posting is easy and quick, great analytics, advanced CV search, Profile tagging. Their staff make everything seamless and nothing is to much trouble.
Users decide on features to be added and not the company, which is a great idea. The ATS is being made better month on month. Its fair priced for what you get and they love giving you free things such as excellent articles for Recruitment, Automation, Marketing and Sales. I always get replies to any questions answered very quickly. They remind me a lot of Hubspot.
Firefish is without doubt the best database i have ever used. The onboarding is fantastic and we were supported to implement our database every step of the way. We have found the ongoing support to be fantastic either by live chat/email or a phone call, someone has has always been on hand and fast! Firefish has been integral into our candidate attraction success. I fully recommend them to any recruitment agency!
