Outstanding service from the Boulton Road team doing an MOT to save the day. Really grateful for the can-do attitude on a Friday afternoon. Bunch of legends.

Visited the branch in Boulton Rd Stevenage to have 4 tyres fitted. Took slightly longer than expected because the mechanic was busy beforehand but Stuart was very helpful in making sure my car was being sorted and not left to the side. He checked a couple of times for me which was nice as a lot of places would just leave you in the waiting room and not care how long you were there. Very happy with the whole service.

I’ve been taking my car here for years. Great customer service, there’s nothing too big or little that they’re not able to help you with and will always try and fit you in, no matter how busy they are.
I always get a heads up if there’s something wrong with my car before any further work is completed which is something some other garages fail to do and would just charge you to complete work without your agreement.

I had to take my car over to Formula One yesterday in an emergency and Stuart was able to fix it for me within a few hours! It was a massive relief and I was very pleased and will definitely be going back.

Recently had a rattle on my car when changing gears and accelerating off. Dropped car off first thing in the morning and by early afternoon the issue had been sorted! Had absolutely fantastic service from Stewart and would 100% recommend Formula One!

Went in to get 2 tyres replaced and my tracking realigned. Was served by Stewart who was very helpful and friendly, was able to have a good laugh with him. The service was completed by Shaun who did a wonderful job, my tracking is once again perfect and my new tyres have been expertly fitted. Overall excellent service

Went to get aircon cleaned and regassed. Two weeks later aircon stopped pumping out cool air. Had it looked at by a different mechanic who found small holes in the aircon pipe. He told me this should’ve been checked during my regas by law and this place obviously failed to do that. It’s a shame because the staff there were very nice but I won’t be returning.

Edit: the general manager called today and explained the situation to me clearly. I have been given a full refund.

We booked our car in online to have 2 front tyres replaced at 10.30 yesterday and paid upfront. When we arrived we were told that the work could not be done as they had 3 work vans that were having tyres replaced. We pointed out that we'd booked online and the salesperson checked but said nothing he could do. No apology, offhand to the point of rudeness, said we could take it back at 3pm. Having totally rearranged our day we took it back at 3pm and after a short wait the tyres were fitted.
No apology, non existent customer service skills,
Will never use Formula 1 again

The scary engine light came on in my Mini. The F1 garage is close to my workplace so I popped in and asked them to have a look. They kindly did the diagnostic work free of charge and although it’s not something they can fix at F1, they suggested nearby garages who may be able to help. Stewart and his team are brilliant and really helpful. I have used them before with issues on previous cars and always found them to be good value. Would not hesitate to recommend 10/10

In my experience it is so difficult to find a trustworthy garage that will help and go the extra mile... thankfully I have found a great garage with an amazing manager, Stewart. He always goes above and beyond nd explains things in Layman terms, simple terms, what the problem is with my car and resolution options. He is always polite and courteous... his staff are always polite too... I wouldn't want to use any other garage and hope Stewart stays there along as I drive lol thanks to all at Formula One Boulton Road

I always use this garage for my MOT and servicing. The manager Stewart if very friendly and welcoming he explains things very well when things are wrong with my car which is great. You always worry if your going to be ripped off but Stewart I trust him 100 % and will alway be a returning customer also all works at the garage are great and very welcoming to

A one star review of this company and in particular, the Boulton Road branch is one star too many.

I called on the morning of Sunday 12th March 2023 to establish if they are able to repair a run flat tyre. I know that not all garages will repair run flats so thought i would call ahead to establish if they were able to or not. I didn't want to take any unnecessary trips with a deflated tyre.

I was told quite specifically that they might be able to repair the run flat tyre however, it would depend on where on the tyre the screw had embedded itself. So, i drove to the garage and was met by three young men smoking cigarettes in the car park. As i got out of the car, I was approached by all three men who immediately asked if my tyres were run flats. I advised that they were and was then told that they can't repair run flats which in hindsight was a curious response given that at this point, I hadn't even told them why i was there. I responded by asking why i had been told on the phone that they might be able to repair run flats. A young man called Lewis insisted in the most unprofessional way imaginable that I hadn't been given this information and that I was mistaken. I then asked out of curiosity why it was that they're unable to repair run flats when other smaller more independent garages like Bobs Tyres are able to. Lewis responded by telling me to "take it to Bobs Tyres then" before turning his back on me. Lewis then walked away as the other two tyre fitters started laughing which continued as i drove out of the car park.

The three tyre fitters working on the day in question are a disgrace to your business and have caused irreparable damage to your reputation. You were always my tyre fitting garage of choice and I have referred many of my friends and colleagues to your garage over the years. I now have a new tyre fitting garage of choice and one who knows the value of the customer but above all else, knows how to treat people with courtesy and respect.

Thank you to Kwik Fit for getting me back on the road and whilst you were not able to fix the tyre, i appreciated your exceptional level of service. I'll be back to have the others replaced soon.

First and last time here.
11.30app for MOT to be told our number plate was illegal, first time in 6 years of it being on the car (never stopped by the police in this time) went to Halfords for the new plates and returned straight back to the garage MOT had been done they failed the car only on the plates and said it needs to be retested after the plates had been applied, this was two screws and double sided tape for the rear. We wanted to wait but was advised that as it needed testing again and it would take a while.
We returned at 16.20 thinking it was plenty of time 17.30 later our car is still in the garage, absolute joke. Never again.
Their whole attitude was very demeaning and really couldn’t care less about the time that it took to replace the plates.
If you want to spend your day at a garage, this is the place to be. Be advised to take a packed lunch.

Really let me down.

Attended garage with slow flat on Thursday 29th Jan at 16:00 but they couldnt look at the tyre due to having no patches and a lack of staff.

On Wed 4th I call at 3:30 to check its okay to bring the car in and they tell me its fine. I turn up at 4 and it took them almost 2 hours to look at the tyre and advise that its unrepairable. They tell me they can source a tyre for the next day so they put on space saver and keep the alloy so they can put he tyre on ahead of me getting there.

Next day and I dont have any call, at 4:30 I call the garage and they tell me there supplier is running late and they would chase it up and call me back. No call back.

Friday comes and again I have no call. 4:30 I call the garage and they tell me the tyre just came in and that they will get it ready and call me. No call and at 5:45 I arrive at the garage and they had completely forgotten to sort the tyre out. They tell me they will get it done but after half an hour they tell me that the tyre hasn't actually arrived and that the supplier gave then force paperwork.

I had to cancel plans on Thursday and Friday because of being let down and in the end just took my alloy with me to have someone else sort it out as I couldnt afford to keep being let down

My first visit to Formula One and I'm very happy I went there. Excellent service and very good value for money. Will certainly use in future. Staff were very helpful and friendly and regularly updated on progress. Without doubt best value in area

Stay clear fro. these people, it took 4 hours to fit new tyers, only to find out the wrong size was sent so had to come back the next day appointment for 10am 2pm still waiting which I think is disgusting and wont be going there ever again. Also social media will be warned.

I went to Boulton Rd branch in Stevenage without a booking. The manager, Stuart, and John couldn't have been more helpful. Car was fixed in no time. Really great service. Thanks so much!

The staff were friendly and the place was clean. I had my car booked for two tyres changes at 10.30am and arrived early. I had to wait until 1pm until my car was ready. It seems pointless booking in a time and unfortunately half my day was wasted waiting for a simple job to be done. It was explained that there were staff shortages but if l had knelt it would take so long l would have gone somewhere else.
