Formula One Autocentres - Colchester Anmeldelser 

I pre paid for the fitting of 4 tyres and subsequently confirmed that this is booked in for 8.30 Friday 5/6/26. Phoned early this morning(much appreciated), that due to "circumstances beyond our control" this was no longer an option. Next Wednesday pm would be the earliest date/time available. A more honest approach as to the circumstances would have been appreciated.

I had a puncture and I needed to get it repaired on a bank holiday i called formula one they had what I needed in stock. Joe was extremely helpful and informed me off when my car was going to be dealt with
Travis changed the tyre so quickly. The professional from both men was outstanding id definitely go again

Rubbish customer service. The worse experience I ever had. My car returned with passenger seat covered in dirt. They also couldn’t reset service because the machine was too new for them and they didn’t know how to use it. A bit of Mickey Mouse. I don’t want to go further and think how professional was the work that they did to my car. I also asked if another branch can reset the service and they said for sure. I went to Clacton branch and they rejected me, they said I need to book an appointment although I told them I come from Colchester branch. Next time I’ll definitely go somewhere else. Better avoid them.

Scraped my alloy fitting a tyre, I mean they should know by now how to do this. I had to book the repair and it takes my car off the road for 3 days while the wheel refurb repair shop fixes it. Every time I went there to sort this out people complaining about the service. Avoid!

Colchester. Truly awful service. Could not be more disjointed if they tried. Took four separate appointments to change a tyre and do an MOT. First visit they gave me the wrong date, second visit the tyre fitting machine was not working, third visit they had bought the wrong tyre...and when I arrived for the fourth attempt they had an MOT appointment in the system but none for the tyre. Unbelievable.

Then they tried to charge me more than the price agreed on the phone (they don't send confirmations so beware). Last but not least the various items stored in the boot were slung all over the place, and the cover off the tools section where the wheelnut was stored was slung at the back of the boot. Awesome. At least the car passed the MOT! After ten years of my business I will not be back. Shambolic.

14/07/25 Update Edit - F1 have responded to this feedback asking me to contact them. They appear to have forgotten I did contact them before I posted this feedback. As the customer services did not respond to my email I chased them. The feedback was 'Oh, I'm the Regional Manager, and I spoke to your wife at the time when she in the garage (3rd visit of 4), I though that was the matter closed'. So, in essence they could have followed up with my online complaint...but they didn't bother. Says it all.

I visited my local Colchester F1 Auto centre after experiencing tyre pressure sensor issues. I had recently had new tyres fitted and the guys were great so I figured they were worth another visit! I was proved right as they were again extremely helpful and put my mind at rest. There was a thorough tyre pressure check carried out and they even topped up the tyres and gave me a clear and concise explanation of what could have been causing the initial sensor issue, all this was done free of charge. Definitely recommend and will be using them again on the future should any further auto issues occur. Good work guys and thanks again..

I was recommended this company through a friend, and what an amazing group they are.. so I booked in for 4 tyres to be changed as it had been on my mot and service as a warning.. i ordered the tyres online booked the appointment, it was all so easy and very reasonably priced.. turned up at the garage and left my car with them while they changed the tyres.. I was having a cuppa in the city when a lovely gentleman phones me to say my back tyres didn’t need changing as the were hardly worn.. I explained why I had booked all 4 tyres in and while we spoke on the phone he did the measurements again, and said. The front two were on the boarder but the back two definitely didn’t need doing.. I thanked for his honesty and asked if he would just change the front tyres.. to which he did and then he arranged the refund of the other two tyres which was returned to me that afternoon..

Would put zero if I could. Never had such unprofessional service, after being spoken to by one of your assistant managers. Had an issue which I now believe could have been caused by one of your technicians. When I wasn't happy i was referred to as a "typical tesla driver". What does that mean? Think your managers need some upskill on how to talk to customers and resolve issues without the need to be rude and insulting.

I took my car to Formula One Colchester for its MOT test today. I booked a time slot online and paid in advance. On arrival, I was greeted by Luke and he told me that the MOT would take one hour. He was as good as his word. I always like taking my car to Formula One in Colchester because I know that the staff will be friendly and the price will be competitive.

Wonderful customer service. Was able to repair and refit a tyre very promptly enabling us to get on with our day. Couldn't recommend more !

I had the misfortune to have a nail in my tyre today and going down pretty quick. I visited here, have used before, and all I can say is..the service was amazing. WILL THE MANAGER, immediately got me booked in and sorted on the spot. Great personality!!! The fitter also wasted no time at all. Well done !! Worth more than a 5 star review. Rob Watts. Alfa.

The exhaust has been rattling and banging against the underside of my car so I took it in to be looked at yesterday (24th July). One of the rubber hangers that supports the rear silencer had fallen off and with none in stock a new pair had to be ordered. They arrived and were fitted today - all for no charge! So despite what ads from a competitor used to say, you actually can get better than........ Many thanks to Colchester F1 Autocentre.

I have been bringing my cars here for a few years, and I’m always impressed by the level of service and value for money. Luke and the team are all very polite, friendly, and professional. I highly recommend F1 Autos Colchester.

We have been using F1 Auto in Colchester for probably 10 years. The service has always been reliable and price competitive - until now. Alex always ran a tight ship, but he has left.

We had our car booked in for a specific time for a tyre change. We opted to wait as it should be in theory a 15 minute job. The job started over 45 minutes late, and apart from very poor comms on why this was the case, our sense was of a disjointed unfocussed team. Later I challenged the manager over the phone about the delay and the explanation was weak.

I am happy to give the company one more chance but they better pull their socks up.

Sunday morning trailer tyre valve failure and Luke sorted it out before I had barely sat down at a reasonable cost. I have had the pleasure of dealing with Terry at Ipswich for both personal and company vehicles and clearly great customer service is evident in Colchester as well.
