If they new it wouldn't fit why take the booking!
Don't take a double cab pickup to this company!

Can not thank ahsford f1 enough wasn't even a paying customer when my battery died and I didn't have jump leads I asked in there and the very help gur behind the counter came straight out with a spare battery and jump leads started straight up then refused to take any money for his good deed 👍 😀
We had a near miss accident on Saturday 3rd January at about 11am on the TA roundabout in Ashford when a refuse truck failed to give way. It resulted in us mounting the pavement and a total shredding of the near side front tyre. We were on our way to Brighton for a 3pm kick off and we limped into the F1 auto centre. I explained what had happened and our need to get Brighton quickly. They fitted us in as one of the technicians altered his lunch hour to help us out. They were super helpful and efficient. We were on our way by 12.30 and made the game just in time. Many thanks to the Ashford team there.
Awful, somewhere i won't use again, 1st appointment made for 31st jan at 8,30 am, time that suited me and fitted around work, needed 2 tyres, 1 for my wife's car and 1 for my van, my appointment then got changed via TEXT message because the tyre fitter guy wasn't working that day, ( surely you have more then one tyre fitter in a tyre outlet!) So the appointment had been made for 3rd jan at 4pm at 5pm the chap came in and said all done, sadly no as he still hadn't changed the van tyre that was in the boot of the car, this I had explained 3 times beforehand, so after 1 hour and 45 mins I had the 2 tyres sorted, awful service, especially after moving the appointment oh and to top it all, he fitted the size tyre aswell!

I booked in online for 2 tyres to be fitted Monday 29th December. When I arrived I was told they did not have enough staff to do the work. The appointment was then rearranged for the next day. This time, after my car had been on a ramp for half an hour, I was told they did not have the tyres. When I heard nothing further by Friday, I cancelled.

My 77 year old husband arranged to have a tyre fitted following a puncture. He arrived outside and an employee rushed from the back of the garage screaming and shouting at him in a very aggressive manner. Just to identify him my husband said he was black. Anyway on reaching reception he discovered they were unable to obtain the tyre!! No phone call, no text, nothing. I then looked up reviews of local places and he contacted Watling Tyres and got the job done. Formula 1, please have a word with your extremely aggressive mechanic, and do please consider training your employees in good customer service skills. There is no place for such aggression in any workplace.

I booked a full service appointment for my car two days in advance for 8:30 AM. I dropped my car off on time and asked about the collection time. The receptionist said he would call around lunchtime, but I never received a call. I finally called at 4:30 PM to check on my car, and was told that they hadn’t even looked at it yet and asked if they could do it the next day. How unprofessional is that? If they can’t handle the workload, why take appointments? They don’t even deserve one star. I will never recommend Formula One Auto Centre to anyone.

Dropped car off for MOT this morning having taken a day off work specifically to get it done. Rang me 20 minutes later and said the MOT technician wasn’t in today, and they tried to ring round yesterday to let customers know but didn’t get round to ringing me. Not sure why they couldn’t tell me that when I dropped the car off either and barely even a sorry over the phone. Would not recommend. Won’t be using for anything in future.

All the guys at the Ashford centre are brilliant. I’ve been here a couple of times now and they’ve been so efficient and helpful. I would definitely recommend and use these guys again.

Arrived at 1440 for a 1445 fitting of two front tyres purchased online beforehand. Initial welcome was fine but no indication there would be a delay. At 1530 as the vehicle was still jacked up with one wheel missing ( I could not see the other side of the car from the viewing bay) I asked at reception how much longer would I have to wait. It will be finished shortly was the reply. Sat down again until 1550 when the job was finally done. Flimsy apology for the lengthy wait but no explanation given. I have used this company and location before without any issues but I will certainly think twice before returning.

I dropped in desperately for help with my wheel arch trim. I saw that had come off and was flapping dangerously in the wind while on the motorway. Kyle got his trusty tools out and fixed it for free! He also directed me to a trusted bodywork shop where a full replacement can be made during the week. It's rare these days to see such responsive customer care and going over and beyond the call of duty!
Just had new tyre fitted with ballencing. The staff at this centre were very helpful explaining to me the reason for my faulty tyre (slight bulge on a small section of the tread) and checking all other tyres and ensuring the my wheels were still in ballance. A friendly and competent service that gives me peace of mind for tyre safety while on the road. Many thanks!

I took my car to the Ashford branch for a full service in March 2025. This service included a new oil filter and oil change. I was informed that I would need a whole new rear braking system by the centre and that this work should be carried out promptly.
Five days after the service, a low oil warning light appeared on my dashboard as I was driving home. I stopped and checked the oil level, which was indeed low and I topped it up with more oil. At the time I was concerned as I had only just had an oil change and had only driven about 150 miles since then. Now I don’t know about other people, but I certainly don’t expect to have to top my car up with oil so soon after a service! Just to note, my car rarely needs to be topped up with oil, maybe once or twice a year (I drive around 7000 miles per year).
I contacted Formula One Autocentres online and complained about the issue. I received a response from an area manager who offered to get my car checked over for issues regarding the low oil level. I declined at the time as I had not experienced any further issues with my vehicle, but I did reiterate that I expected better from a full service. I asked for a refund in my original correspondence to them, but this point was ignored entirely by them.
I decided to go elsewhere for the rear brake work as I was quoted £505.99 for two rear brake drums, brake shoe kit, brake fluid change and labour. I had a new fuel filter, wheel cylinders and brake shoes fitted at M.S. Auto Services (VW and Audi specialist). I paid a total of £363.28 for this work. The specialist garage did not think it was necessary to fit new brake drums on the vehicle, and said that an inexperienced mechanic might think it was necessary. I saved a lot of money because I decided it was best to go elsewhere for the brake work and I am glad I did!
Overall I was disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend going there. If you want a more thorough service for your vehicle (that includes a fuel filter for diesel vehicles as standard), please go elsewhere.
Update: Formula One Autocentres responded to my review and asked me to contact customer services. I called them on 27th May and was told that Alan Busby, a regional manager, would contact me within 48 hours. I am writing this update on 3rd June and have not received any communication from them. I expressed a wish to be contacted by email, but I have not received a phone call either.

Nice people They were pleased to see you and then took the appropriate amount of time to do a good job. Nice to see wheel threads started by hand before applying an air gun to minimise the risk of (expensive) cross threading.

At short notice on a Sunday was able to fit us in to fix a tyre puncture, all done quickly and at a good price
I am reviewing to express my sincere gratitude to Formula One Ashford team for their excellent service.
I recently brought my Mini Coupe in because I suspected a flat tyre or a slow leak. I left the car with them for the day, dropping it off before work and collecting it afterward.
When I returned, I was told that there was no puncture and none of my tyres were losing pressure. I was concerned that I had wasted their time, but the staff assured me it was not a problem.
I appreciate that they took the time to put air in all my tires and monitor them for pressure loss throughout the day. I am also grateful that they checked the warning lights on my dashboard (without me even asking) and explained that the issue was likely an electrical fault since they could find nothing wrong.
Thank you to everyone at Formula One Ashford for your time and assistance. I would highly recommend them without hesitation.
My daughters exhaust came loose and she was worried how she would get to work the next day spoke to Kyle in Ashford at 5.30pm and he clipped it back up and we were gone in 10 minutes absolute life saver. Any issues you should go there.
My usual garage where temporarily unable to do MOT’s due to technical reasons so I took my Honda Jazz to the Formula One Autocentre in Ashford. They failed it and said that the rear wheel bearing needed replacing on the drivers side. Regrettably, I had no alternative but to have it replaced which cost me £141. When they told me this I was astounded as my car has only got 52,000 miles on the clock and I only did a 1000 miles last year. I don’t drive over rough terrain and statistically an average life of a wheel bearing should be about 100,000 miles. I certainly won’t be using this garage again as they obviously make money out of failing MOT’s for spurious reasons.

Carl is a great guy. I’m happy with the service he provided whilst my car servicing day. Good customer service and prompt to help resolve the issues he suggested for my car. I came back today as I’m writing this review while the wheel locking nuts being changed. Thank you Carl and the team.
