We were originally given a date for starting orangery of January 2023 but a phone call from the company asked if they could start the brickwork in November 2022, to which we agreed. Richard arrived on given date and work was completed. In early January, the original date given, Kevin and Alan arrived to continue the work. They were very competent in their work and any problems that arose they worked round and completed the work on the given date. They were very pleasant and kept us informed of the process. The plasterer arrived on his given date and again was very professional. We now await second fix of electrics. So far we could not fault the company and would recommend them.

Just had French doors fitted which now completes our whole house. It all went very smoothly thanks to Connor and Jordan who did an excellent job and were really clean and tidy. Full marks. Very pleased with the product - although there were a few issues with the window installation which is why I’ve only given four stars.

We were promised (in writing) that the conservatory would be finished at the end of October, 2022. It was finally finished January 11, 2023. Delays due to broken parts, glass, waiting for the electrician all caused much frustration on our part. We felt the conservatory would never be finished and wished we had never started. Calls to Head Office in Hull produced some results. The quality of the work when the workers were on site was faultless.

9 months into my experiance with EYG I still do not have a completed conservatory. No issues ordering or with the brickwork stage, besides delays. Once the frame arrived so did the issues.
Rude swearing/smoking staff, Stanley knife left on site in garden (I have young children), floor not level, roof not aligned, electrics not finished, draughts and gaps the list goes on.
Today marks 28 days since I complained for the 3rd time to EYG, no reply or contact from them since.

Work started on the date planned, took two days as stated. The workers were very pleasant and hard working. They cleared everything away and cleaned up before they left. A very good experience.

It took over a month to get my deposit back after I cancelled the contract. They kept several hundred pounds and refusing to return that money. I cancelled the contract as at the very last moment they wanted to add thousands of pounds to the price. This they trying to justify that my house was built on piles when I demonstrated this was not correct in trying to justify that it was built on a raft. This is not true. I have contacted a civil engineer and architect plus check with the local council and my house is build on standard foundations, they refused to accept my argument and say that the years of experience of right, but clearly more right than these highly qualified experts. I have been told that this is a classic ploy double glazing salesman use. When we negotiate a price, they first wanted to charge a very high price and I refuse they dropped it instantly. Apparently this is their standing approach and they look to find other ways to get the money back to maximise the large profit. You may read on this site how they try to justify what they’re doing and telling everyone that I’m wrong when I had that verified by experts and I’m not wrong. I also requested under the data protection act all the information about me and they have not bothered to do that, and indeed I believe I’ve been awkward and try not to, I will have to report them accordingly. I have since found out that there are many dissatisfied customers with this company and that they are constantly trying to get more money out of everyone. If you want my experience to support you in decision-making of which company to go to then it is that they are not one that I would ever trust.

Your fitters were on time, very polite and friendly. They completed the work to a very high standard and I was so impressed with how they left the job at the end

We were looking at replacing a front door and front room window. EYG guy came round to quote. Got down to what we wanted quickly, no waffle and timewasting small talk, he got us a price quickly. £2200, which then turned into "if we say you queried about it over the 'Black Friday Weekend' we could do for £1980". Even better. I felt fairly happy and comfortable with this price, but I personally don't part or commit to spending 2 grand in a heartbeat. I wanted to just have a double check on finances, get used to it, sleep on it. Having expressed I wanted to do so, I was told well it won't be £1980 if you ring me tomorrow. So a little bit of pressure 'selling' (for want of a better phrase!) from Allan was applied to close the sale right there and then. Of course he could have done the £1980 price the following day if he wanted to, I got what he was trying to do. I told him I didn't mind if it was £200 more the following day, I "wanted to have a think about it". I asked for his card, in my mind he'd got us a good enough price (either one) but I just wanted a bit of space before committing. Asked for his card again, to which we got the words "there's my card, not that you will need it". Sale 100% Blown. Toys out the pram time. Talk about extreme unprofessionalism. He pretty much had our money up until that point, I was happy enough with the price, no one else was booked to come and quote. Talk about an awkward moment, EYG lost our money and any future business, recommendations etc. All now gone to a local competitor.

They had a simple task of putting a window frame in, it took 5 visits to my house to finish the job, 1 visit should have been another.
They fitted new fascia / soffit / guttering 2 visits?1visit should have been another.
It is the time wasted waiting in, not knowing if it is morning or afternoon they will be calling
I had EYG in 38 years ago to install my double glazing in my house, no problems with the double glazing in 38 years, would I have them back again Yes, they do sort it out in the end

Well after 12 months of having a Patio door fitting Twice completely removed and refitted ( see our original review ) we have had the EYG door removed PLEASE DONT USE THIS COMPANY THERE FITTERS ARE ABSOLUTELY 💩 They are the only contractors that have made my wife cry with there poor standard of workmanship ( HOPE YOUR PROUD OF THIS EYG )
what a waste of money 10 year guarantee was more like 12 months door was not level and closed on its own we were so disappointed with the original fitters we don’t want EYG anywhere near our property ever again if I could give them zero stars I would and they still contact us to ask if we want any more work doing ( YOU MUST BE JOKING 😡) AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE)

The team, young apprentice and a man , worked as a brilliant team fitting our Facia’s and soffits .
Very professional ,polite and tidied up every evening.
We thought it was really lovely to have a young lady working equal besides the men.
She’s done two years with your company and loves it.

We had a set of 6 new windows by EYG the men on site for 2 days (Jordan and Gaz) over 2 days Worked very hard in inclement conditions on the first day and came back on the second. Can't speak too highly of their skills and manner and cleanliness on the job.

EYG Windows fitted our front home windows today with incorrect sized windows. The measurements are no where near correct and the fitters have used 6 inch plastic packers to fill the very large gaps that are clearly apparent. My home is looking horrendous inside and outside and I contacted the branch to telephone me back to discuss and they failed to call me back. We were looking seriously forward to getting new windows and now we feel deflated. I have now emailed them an official complaint. I have now updated this feedback a few weeks later as I have sent a few emails now to management. Not one single apology from anyone at the office and very little responses back. As you will see from the response from Lisa below - I provided further information and no investigation has taken place after 4 months. Although my windows have now been rectified no apology and no investigation into why this happened in the first place. Everyone you speak to will avoid blame at all costs. You will also note the sharp tone in the response below which is indicative of the culture.

Just had one of their door canvassers turn up on my doorstep. Extremely rude and unprofessional. EYG door canvassers need to learn to be a little more polite. The door canvasser decided in his wisdom to call me a "helmet" as he walked off. A bit of an unusual and ridiculous comment.

Today we had two Guys from EYG named Gary & Joe, complete our conservatory.
Well I could not believe they complete the job in two days, this was to a very high standards
. In today world it’s very hard to find contractors with such a fantastic work ethic. These guys not only produce first class standards but they worked right through the day even working while having their drinks and lunch. They were polite and professional. It was a pleasure having two experienced Men working on our home. We can’t not thank you enough and your an absolutely credit to EYG. We will certainly recommend you to everyone we know.
Once again thank you Gary and Joe for completed of conservatory which we will enjoy for many years .

We requested EYG to estimate for some work, nobody turned up, no cancellation, no apology, no nothing, time wasters.

After several quotes we decided to go with EYG because they are local, have a good reputation and were reasonably priced. We are having front and back doors and inside patio doors replaced, polycarbonate conservatory roof replaced with a Hybrid roof and soffit and facias replaced.
The first part of the work has just been completed with all the doors being replaced. The quality of the products and the workmanship of Phil B and Ray was superb. Arrived on time kept me informed throughout, made sure all the fitting were perfect, going beyond their remit to make sure area around the doors blended in well, and kept the area very clean. Thank you Guys.
