I went to Richard for driving lessons after loosing confidence with a previous instructor. Richard has been brilliant in making me feel confident driving and helping me to pass my test. I would highly recommend Excel!

First time pass. Thanks to Richard for teaching me the steps to become a driver. Lesson were enjoyable. Richard made me relaxed which made me a much more confident driver. Would recommend.

First time pass with Dean, couldn’t recommend him enough. Has always been punctual and is genuinely invested in the learning journey of the pupil. Whilst we worked through the areas that were necessary, he ensured that anything that I personally wasn’t 100% on we could go back over and perfect. Genuinely have loved my experience of learning to drive and it’s all thanks to Dean. Highly recommend!!!

I had the most amazing experience learning to drive with Aneka, she was so patient with me, went through things at my pace and always made sure I was comfortable! I can’t recommend Aneka more, to her you are more than just a pupil.

I had an awful experience with a different driving school and ended up moving to Excel. Having Aneka as my new instructor has completely changed driving for me to a fully positive experience! She is so lovely, friendly, reassuring and supportive. I’ve passed my driving test today first time and I couldn’t have done it if it wasn’t for Aneka. She put me at ease and always motivated me when I felt insecure. Thank you Aneka you’re the best!!

I have tried to drive and given up multiple times in the past. When I met Aneka she put me at ease straight away and explained driving to me without over complicating it!
Shes so warm and friendly and just the loveliest person. I passed my test today first time and I couldn’t have done it without her!!!

I was with Natalie Kirby for the whole of my driving experience and passed second time, she made every lesson comfortable and really went the extra mile for me. She was more than just a driving instructor and I’m so grateful for that

Richard was the best instructor for our son - easy to book lessons, reliable, patient and kind. Kept updated of progress through the app. Can't recommend highly enough- will absolutely go to Richard for our daughters lessons in a few years. If you’re looking for an instructor, look no further… My experience with Excel was a dream from start to finish. I started lessons in November 2023 and told Richard I’d like to pass in May, and thanks to him I did. Richard went the extra mile to fit me in for over 15 hours worth of additional lessons before my test, and he’d done the same for my twin sister. I was very nervous to start driving but Richard did a fantastic job at calming my nerves and ensuring that my confidence grew. Richard’s communication and punctuality was also always consistent making him a true credit to Excel. I’ll certainly be back for motorway lessons now i’ve passed!

I had lessons with Ray, as I was swapping cars from manual ones that I’ve always driven to automatic and I had also lost confidence in driving.
I initially felt a bit silly in having lessons when I passed my test, let’s say a while ago
Matt and Ray reassured me from the beginning and understood my anxiety and Ray took steps to ease that even in the first lesson.
Since then due to his patience, guidance, encouragement and clear instructions, I now feel comfortable driving an automatic for the first time, I have also learnt a lot to help me prepare for what other drivers might do, which has given me much more confidence and less anxiety when driving on busy roads.
I would highly recommend Excel Driver Training, Burbage and in particular Ray.

I started my lessons in September with Dean from Excel.
He made me feel so at ease, he is so patient with you too.He has helped build my confidence massively with driving which I thought was impossible 🙈.
And helped me become a safe driver on the roads since passing my test with him.

Avoid Andy! Kept changing the times and durations every week and then sometimes cancelled at the last minute with lame excuses. He double booked my test and told me weeks after i had informed of the date? This means that my test has been delayed by three months. Then when i tried to change my lesson he ditched me and said i was unsure and he had better offers!!!

Great lessons from Matt, having had no previous lessons or experience with anyone else. Very easy to talk to and get on with and each lesson was tailored to a specific area(s) for improvement! Would highly recommend.

I had Matt as my driving instructor and he was very patient with me as I had little to no knowledge on how to drive at all! As well as this his tips and techniques with things I struggled with such as manoeuvres and gears were extremely helpful, alongside taking everything at a steady pace. Overall he was a brilliant instructor!

I had Richard from excel as an instructor for just over 6 months . He was very supportive , very knowledgeable and full of tricks to remember key driving skills that helped me pass first time !! Would highly recommend excel as a whole and Richard as an instructor
