As a new joiner at everyone active Porchester Centre, I do not recommend others to sign up here.

Very poor customer service… there was a sign saying ‘please park your strollers, buggies and bikes here’ which I did with my bike. Subsequently a junior employee asked me to move my bike to the area with a bike parking cable - which I complied and followed her instructions.

Midway through my swim workout, the general manager disturbs me and demands that I move my bike now. I am confused because I already did what your employee told me earlier.. she approved and allowed me to head into the changing room. If there were a problem then she should have informed me then and there to park my bike outside because parking in the building is not allowed.

The general manager was disrespectful, had poor management and leadership skills. It was obvious that the staff also didn’t know whether bike parking inside the building was allowed. All in all, he threatened me with cutting my membership and forced me to step outside the building in swimwear and all wet to park my bike outside. It felt confusing and shameful and humiliating.

If your staff is untrained and incompetent, dont make this the member’s burden the fault. I understand the ‘health and safety’ reasons and I don’t agree with the communication style that he took to get the action that he wanted. Shameful and dissapointing.

I recently signed up to Everyone Active Membership and so far so good.

Good location. The venue is a pleasant environment to visit, the building has some character from original features preserved, which are well-balanced with modern facilities. A good range of fitness classes, polite and welcoming staff.

I feel comfortable going to this centre. It’s inviting and doesn’t have a community centre feel but more of a private members club vibe, which I like. It has class.

I love that it has a female only gym, and a decent temporary gym set up while the new gym area is under construction. Lots to look forward to when it finished and open to members in May (2026).

The Everyone Active app is user friendly and the induction was satisfactory.

I would definitely recommend, but only to quality people who would maintain the calibre of the Porchester Centre experience.

A visit to Porchester Spa feels slightly surreal at first, but it quickly reveals itself as a genuinely restorative place to unwind. There’s an excellent range of heated spaces to choose from: a large sauna, a large steam room, a smaller steam room and three generously sized hot rooms, plus a bracing cold plunge pool. Wonderful art deco space. A near-lost treasure of London.
I loved the heritage elements to the place- original elements/signs, fixtures and fittings. And the authentic glazed tiles.
Steam room system works exceptionally well, and the steam smells v v clean. Sauna is good and hot. The three hot rooms: caldariun, laconium, and tepidarium all very relaxing spaces.
The spa is men-only on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays — I visited last Saturday again. While the building retains many of its original features and shows its old heritage in places, it remains full of character. The showers are lock-free (complete with polite “please knock” signs), and there’s often a chatty group occupying the smaller steam room. Crucially, the spa is well staffed, calm and geared towards complete relaxation. Clothing is optional, and the focus is firmly on rest and wellbeing. Friendly atmosphere, men of all ages and backgrounds around. All in all, it’s a distinctive and deeply relaxing experience — and one I’d happily recommend.

I just love Porchester Baths, have been going there for decades but had a gap, now so good to be back.
It is such a great asset for London as an affordable tool for our health.
Not to mention the stunning architecture of the interiors, there is nowhere quite like it.

recently paid for a full year’s membership and was looking forward to using the spa and pool facilities. Unfortunately, I experienced an incident today that was both distressing and disappointing.
After showering and prior to a scheduled massage, I attempted to use the pool and was informed by a staff member that access was not permitted without a white ticket. As I had already showered, I did not wish to return to reception and walk through the facility wet. Despite this, the staff member refused me access for the remainder of the day and handled the matter in a confrontational and public manner, causing unnecessary embarrassment.

I later learned from another guest that she was able to access the pool without being asked for a ticket, which raised concerns about inconsistency. Although the staff member stated that he was a manager, his conduct was unprofessional and degrading. As a result of this experience, I now feel uncomfortable returning, which is extremely disappointing given my recent commitment to a full-year membership

The gym is clean and modern, the staff are professional and helpful and the fitness instructors always go above and beyond! I didn’t expect this place to be so good! Thank you for two great years of fitness classes! (HIIT, body combat and body pump!); also some very relaxing swimming sessions!

Everyone Active gym (Porchester Centre, London).

Gym-in-central-London. 21st. century. Yet, I have not been able to do my whole weights programme for 2 months. Yes. TWO months. Leg curl machine or leg extension machines out of order since the 3rd of August 2025. That’s doesn’t meet the standards of my ULTIMATE + membership. It’s pure inefficiency. I’ve filmed in remote locations of this Planet where repairs are done quicker than that. I’ve—and other customers—complained so many times; maybe I should ask Santa all I want for Xmas is a fully working gym because gym management do nothing about it.

A descent leisure centre, I only use the gym, spa and swimming pool.
Kept clean all the time however, can get very busy.
Highly recommended if you live locally

Porchester Spa,
The best relaxing Spa day London has to offer.
You would be amazed of the many healing benifits to be gained in the most pleasurable way.
A goldmine of body awareness healing to be discovered.
Nerve damage and inflammation are conditions i have treated at the Spa with excellent results.
The experience is so affordable.
Thank you for making these facilities available.

Love this local gym and pool, the staff are very obliging and and facilities are good.

Beautiful building with a fantastic swimming pool. Staff are very helpful and the atmosphere is very inclusive and welcoming.

The pool is extremely clean and a great temperature. The facility is clean and far from being crowded. A great value. And I appreciate the ability to pay a drop in fee for a swim. I swim a lot as an American senior master swimmer and this is one of the nicest pools. I have swum in. Very helpful reception staff.

1) I am going be very candid in expressing my nightmarish experience at the Porchester Spa ( Bayswater)

2) I use the spa since the 90's where there was a true trust and unity among local communities including good staff.

3) I have been abroad for the last 15 years and on my return to London, I decided to have a day spa.

4) today, Saturday 7th November 2024, I noticed major changes at the Spa.

5) first I have to mention that I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and I was an advocate for victims of racism, discrimination , homophobia and tranphobia for years. I still am.

6) soonest I have walked in, there was a black guy ,tall slim stirring at me. I thought that was rude. I saw him doing some cleaning around and very grumpy looking guy. I ignored him. I went into the spa wearing my towel robe as I did not realise the rules have changed, the spa does not provide no towels not even that piece of cloth we use to put around our hips.

7) an hour later as I came out from the Hot Room, still wearing my towel robe, I went into the cold room the one near the steam room, I hanged my robe, and was soaping my loofa to get a wash.

8) the same guy ( staff member) followed me into the room, he pretended cleaning the floor where I was sitting naked soaping with foam. he looked at me and told me that I am not allowed to sit anywhere without either towel or boxers . I said well, I dont have a towel other than the towel robe, he rudely responded by saying " well find something in your cloth you can use such as your briefs or shorts" I said ok.

9) while trying to think what have I got in my locker, I was also thinking of getting into the shower to rinse off the soap.

10) 2 minutes later, the same guy ( staff) followed me to the shower and insisted that I should put short on.

11) I nearly lost my temper, but calmly I asked him to leave me alone and stop harassing me. he was in fact picking on me, and he made slip of a tongue by saying I am not picking on you but you must go up and put shorts on.

11) I was shaky, afraid, and felt harassed. I lost that very moment of peace I needed and to enjoy peace and quite.

12) I went upstairs looking for a manager, his colleague, also a black guy, told me that he is the manager. (big lie) so I felt they both were not interested in assuring me safety and peace. even when I went to my locker to check my phone, he came running towards me telling me I am not allowed to use my phone. I was shocked and I regretted my visit to the spa.

13) I cut my leisure therapy spa short and left the premises feeling shocked at the homophobic attack. The spa was once a sanctuary has become almost like a prison being followed by security member of staff who pretends to be cleaners, watching us, following us around, and telling us how to act and what to do.

14) I am known as someone of utmost integrity and of deeply caring spirit, fair and just and always ready to serve victims of racial attacks and the vulnerable.

The mess continues at Porchester Leisure Centre
The weekend is a day off for almost everyone
but the manager at Porchester doesn't think this way.
so on Saturday the pool is closed from 11am to 2pm.
It's not easy for members how we can pay for having such a bad service. That's a huge lack of consideration for members.
The summer was another mess, the pool was not open all the time.
After the summer I was at Porchester Leisure, the ladies toilet had a horrible smell and the toilet had leakage heavily.
Porchester Leisure doesn't have an efficient team, why?
What information are requesting me l can take picture or video, to send to as l proof what l am talking about?

I had a phone conversation with the manager of the Porchester Swim Center, and I found her to be extremely rude and disrespectful. During our discussion, she claimed she would put me on hold, but failed to do so. Regrettably, I overheard her speaking ill of me to other staff members, referring to me as an "idiot" and admitting to her rude behaviour.

When I confronted her about what I had overheard, she became defensive and denied making those remarks. She even dared to ask what I wanted. Furthermore, when I expressed my intention to take further action, she offered to me give her name as if she had no fear of repercussions. This self-confidence gives me the impression that she feels emboldened to mistreat customers, including resorting to name-calling.

Rest assured, I will be pursuing the appropriate course of action to address this unacceptable behaviour.

I paid for the whole year £560
But discovered taking £55 for six months, direct debit, I went to the porchester center for a refund, very rude unhelpful absolutely disappointed, please make sure you check your accounts regularly
