We have been bringing our children to Northolt Leisure Centre swimming lessons for the past 6 years. Two of my children are in Stage 6 and one is in Stage 5, but unfortunately over the past few months the whole experience has become very disappointing.
The swimming teachers keep changing continuously, there is no consistency, and my children seem to be stuck on the same level for far too long without any proper progress or feedback.
Recently, one of the teachers, Jake, refused to allow my daughter to swim because she was not wearing a swimming hat. What made this even more frustrating was that this rule clearly does not apply to everyone, as other children were allowed in without hats. It feels unfair and inconsistent.
I raised this issue with the manager, who promised that someone would call me back to discuss the matter. It has now been 4 weeks and nobody has contacted me at all. This shows a complete lack of care and professionalism towards customers who are paying both money and giving up their time.
Because of the poor communication, lack of consistency, and the way customers are treated, I have now decided to cancel my membership. Even my children no longer enjoy going swimming because of the staff and overall experience.

Terrible small gyms that always too cramped and packed. Very rude staff members would avoid at all cost!

The swimming pool changing area toilets are much more cleaner now and the sinks are much more cleaner than before less stains. Its really nice to see an improvement in this. As this topic was considered by lots of other people as well. Only thing that needs changing are the bathroom shower handles and the gym if some of the equipments were fixed regularly.

I thought the Lifeguard Aruni made my experience incredible. Her service was so welcoming and she was so polite. She was there to answer any of my questions and was always on alert to help someone out. Thank you so much for your service.

I like to nominate Mia who is at the front desk always polite helpful always says hello and makes us feel welcome . She is a young girl who eill go far in life.

mostly I do evening classes and is my second home. Please add more classes on and variety

Rude staff with lack of knowledge, they are just talking with each other, not helpful and finding way to show attitude. Trainers talk to u nicely if u are new once they confirmed tht u not gonna buy personal training then they dnt even look at u, washroom are dirty and smelly, machine always out of order and they fix them anually maybe on Christmas or new year, people on reception have no knowledge about membership and anything. They just say one thing SORRY, if anything wrong and u complain against any worker tht mean they will ban u from gym. Lots of wrong things. And the End they will comment as usual on every review Sorry we will investigate and have a lovely weekend

I’ve had repeated negative experiences with Wayne, a personal trainer at this gym. His tone during interactions comes across as dismissive and confrontational. This has happened more than once and has made me feel uncomfortable during workouts.

I’m sharing this in hopes that management ensures all staff engage with members professionally and respectfully.

I have been attempting to find out about memberships and joining Northolt Leisure Centre for a week I asked to be contacted by email they called me several times.
Each agent gave me conflicting prices information how can anyone make a correct decision when the company hasn’t got a clue themselves.

It’s truly impressive how committed some staff members are to ensuring you never want to come back. I was finishing up a treadmill session right before closing time (emphasis on before), when a staff member-*Wayne*-decided to turn the machine off mid-run. No warning, no courtesy, just flipped it off while I was still on it. Safety hazard aside, the attitude was exactly what I’ve come to expect from him: consistently rude, dismissive, and noticeably hostile-particularly toward certain gym-goers.
It’s a shame, because the equipment is decent and the space itself is fine. But a gym is only as good as the people running it, and frankly, being treated like a nuisance rather than a paying member is not the experience I’m looking for.
If management is truly unaware of how uncomfortable this Wayne worker makes members feel, that’s truly concerning.

Well here is a long story why I am disappointed.
I joined 2 years ago the gym for one week, and for personal reasons I couldn’t attend more.
This was on 2023.
One week ago February 2025 o joined again, and today 24 febr 2025 I arrived at gym and my card wasn’t going through,and the ladies from reception told me I have been charged for 2 months in 2023 and I didn’t paid it.never nobody told me that there is a minimum of 3 months to attend gym! They are robbing people wallets without telling you anything!
I am gonna attend the 3 months cause I don’t want to pay £65 for not even going gym , but after the 3 month I am definitely not coming back here ever again! Worst place in London! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

My son is doing swimming lessons there what make me mad that people coming from outside not changing their shoes and walking around swimming pools standing there that’s why is so dirty, changing rooms dirty as well!! 5 out of 6 hair drier not working!!! Some people from a staff very rude

I do like this leisure centre....not too big and staff very friendly. Pools are a good size but main pool could do with being a little warmer. Gym upstairs though have a few machines out of order which is frustrating as one has to wait - sometimes quite long - for others to finish their programs. Would be great if space could be found to add a sauna/steam room in the future.

One of my 2025 New Year’s resolutions was to learn how to swim and i went on the Everyone active website to enquire, the process was so straightforward and i got a phone call follow up to my enquiry.Their service is really impeccable and a week later I registered for my lessons and i am truly happy.

Very unhelpful swim manager, I didn’t feel like I was listened to. She just kept repeating the same thing to me in regards to make up for a swimming lesson. Hence why I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with the service provided. I am disappointed that the centre is unable to accommodate a make-up session for a missed class.

Furthermore, I have found out that a make up lesson was offered to another parent whose child goes to the same leisure center.

As a customer, I expected more flexibility and understanding for situations that occasionally prevent attendance.

Rude staff,filthy floors.Paid £8 for Aqua Fit session which was supposed to last 45 mins but was stopped after 35.First time here and the last (which is a shame as its within walking distance of where i live)Will try Botwell Green Centre in Hayes instead even though it means travelling.

Very rude staff and very unhelpful indeed. Especially the women. Looks at you with a straight face and has a very aggressive tone when communicating. Very disappointing that

Paid for swimming lessons for my son,just to turn up to the lessons and be told they were fully booked . They’ve taken £75 joining fee plus £35 monthly fee in advance but my son was nowhere on their system . Was given an email address to speak with . The front desks staff was very polite but can’t help. I’m furious . The instructor was also very rude to the kids, and I’ve also told them my son was autistic and this was completely disregarded

I stopped my child's swimming lessons due to the poor hygiene. It clearly states outdoor shoes shouldn't be worn around the pool area, overshoes are provided. There are no overshoes provided and everyone including staff walk around the pools with their dirty shoes whilst kids are walking around bare foot. Parents with dirty shoes stand at the showers too. Not their fault because no overshoes are provided but it's disgusting. I saw a swim teacher arriving to work in slides and they were the same ones he used to teach the children. I emailed the swim manager and I've had no response.

I have been attending the 50+ Aqua Aerobics class on Tuesdays at 12pm at Northolt Leisure centre for last 2yrs. The centre has a 25m pool as well as a learning pool for children & adult swimming classes. Our instructor is very good and the class size has gone up from 25 to 35! It's very popular. The changing rooms are OK although sometimes the floors are wet after the school kids have attended swimming classes. The centre tries it's best, however a lot of kids attend as there are no other pools nearby. Toilets have the same issues. In school holidays, I've noticed that changing facilities are cleaner. The leisure centre has a car park with limited spaces. I use public transport to get there which is easy due to good transport links. The staff are very helpful. There is a gym upstairs and community rooms, a coffee shop, soft play area & mini library on site. It is a very busy leisure centre.

The first thing that you notice when you go to reception is how friendly and helpful the staff are,our gym induction was done by Chris who was very patient,helpful and had a good sense of humour.The gym equipment is plentiful with a lot of choice of different machines,its light,airy and clean.It also has a nice swimming pool.
