Terrible dealership
Terrible dealership. Sold a peugeot 5008 with a know ad blue problem P208E fault that causes a warning that the engine will be impossible to start. They sell 3 yr guarantees and tell you they cover everything, that is except any ad blue issues. the bill is over £1k but also they sold the car with a flat battery. Any simple diagnostic test identifies this, of which that said the car had with a full service. No answer from emails, no returned phone calls. Currently going through consumer rights act 2015 to make them sort this out. Would you ever trust Evans Halshaw?

Dreadful experience
Dreadful experience. Bought a used car early February and took out took out 3 year Premium Guarantee. Broke down 3 months later believing I had full AA cover. No cover. Had to pay to recover the car myself. The problem was nobody at EH Nottingham cared. Nobody answered my emails or texts. No apology. The car was repaired by the under the 3 month buyers guarantee.i would never buy a car again from this company.

Bad communication
Took my vehicle here for repairs as required specialist garage to look at it and not a great experience at all. Was given 4 dates for completion, first date was informed problem was worse than expected and would require parts and more labour, no issue there. After that the remaining 3 dates not once did I receive a call to say there would be a delay I had to ring them to see what was happening. Also never told the full price of the repair on the phone was only told full price when on way to collect. I’ll give credit to the manager and his handling of the situation but would it not be better to email so everything is in writing to save further confusion.
As all the vehicles repairs wouldn’t be required if it was electrical I sat down with a sales rep regarding pricing for an electric vehicle. Spent around an hour to be told I would be contacted the following day with a price. Almost 2 weeks later and I’ve had no communication from them and I’m done ringing them chasing probably long term a blessing in disguise

Weeks Later and Still No Response from Evans Halshaw - Update #3
Posting this as a follow‑up because the situation has actually become worse. I filed a complaint weeks ago and have chased it multiple times. Each time I was told someone would contact me “ASAP” or “within 48 hours,” but nobody ever did. Not once.
This isn’t just slow service — it shows a complete lack of aftercare (and Lies). The issues I raised were genuine and reported immediately after purchase, yet the response has been silence and empty promises.
If you’re considering buying from Evans Halshaw, be prepared for the possibility that any problems you report afterwards may be ignored entirely. My experience has shown that getting a resolution, or even a simple phone call, is extremely unlikely.

Scammers, everytime different issue
We have dealt with this dealership for 3 years fo far and only bad experiences. My missus got her fist car from them and despite that they ensured everything is fine it start failing just a bit after the 2000miles warranty. Also, despite all the health checks and servicing done they still not diagnose issues properly and after 1 year and recent healthcheck the car ended with no fuild in the automatic gearbox. Even worse experience with myself. I got a car from their Rotherham branch and agreed to be serviced at Nottingham. After short time the car started failing and I began a long chasing for repairs. After about 6 months everything seemed to be ok. However, on recent servicing they've done healthcheck and diagnosed several things that need repair in 3-6 months. Moreover, less than 3 months after the healthcheck(VHC) I brought the car for MOT and suddenly it failed on the healthcheck and on MOT for inappropriate headlight bulb (the same that it was ok on previous VHC) and apparently a leaking shock absobrer. I don't know how this was not addressed on previous VHC but when I realised they want to rip me off with £800 for single shock absorber repair I answered my question. They are just scammers!! Never buying car from there and never dealing with them. I regret buying car from them and servicing it there.
