Sold a car that does not work
Sold a car that does not work, I bought the car on the 31st December and have had the car for a total of 3 days! It has been in and out of the garage and still has not been fixed ! I received the car back yesterday AGAIN after yourselves having it in the garage for over 2 weeks to get in it and drive it with the same issues! This needs to go back in the garage again tomorrow and leave me with no car! I traded in a perfectly working car to receive one that I can’t even drive! There is no rush to get it fixed either!

Do not buy a car from Evans Halshaw…
Do not buy a car from Evans Halshaw Renault Sunderland. Disgraceful service and have put my 19 year old daughter in danger!!
Car was purchased from them 4 weeks ago and is now in a seat garage needing a considerable amount of work to be carried out to make the car safe to drive.
Was assured when purchased the car that it had been moted and all issues fixed however when the car was collected, was informed that the drive assist light had just come on but that it was safe to drive 2 1/2 hrs back up to Scotland and to book it into evans halshaw in Kilmarnock to be repaired. Waited 2 weeks for the sales assistant to contact the Kilmarnock branch and was then told it would need to go into a seat dealership.
It was taken to Ayr on Monday who gave her a long list on Tuesday of the repairs needing done and have informed her that in there opinion this car has been in a front end smash at some point and the damage underneath has not been fixed!!
Handbrake has also been rewired very poorly and was in danger of snapping at anytime.
Far from being apologetic Katie at evan halshaw Renault Sunderland has been obstructive and refusing to allow the car to be fixed and is now telling us it will be Monday before it is even discussed. No offer of a courtesy car!!
My daughter is now paying for a car that is unsafe to drive and having to pay out her own pocket to be able to get to and from work and university!!
Please share as I wouldn’t want anyone else’s child to be put in danger by a company who clearly have no concern for anyone else’s safety.
This has went from an exciting time purchasing her first car herself to a nightmare!!
