Disappointed that, yet again, despite being told that the car had been washed it had clearly not been. May not seem a big thing but this is the second time I have been told specifically that it has been done.

Attention to detail. Resolved a problem that had just happened with the windscreen washers (blocked on nsf) and left the car washed and valeted ready for collection. Thank you!

I am writing to express my disappointment regarding my recent experience with your service department.

I received multiple calls and emails stating that my vehicle service was overdue. Although I questioned this, I was informed that it was indeed required, so I booked an appointment. I travelled from Selby to Hull and had to arrange and pay for cover at my business, only to be told upon arrival that the service was not actually due. This was both inconvenient and frustrating, and I did not feel that the apology I received adequately reflected the disruption caused.

While I was there, I was told that the team would complete the outstanding recalls to avoid a wasted trip. One of these recalls related to the climate control system, which had stopped working—a feature I regularly use. When I collected the vehicle, I was assured that this issue had been resolved. However, upon trying it the next morning, I found that the climate control was still not functioning.

I am extremely disappointed by the lack of accuracy and quality of service in this instance. My experience when purchasing the car was excellent, but since then the level of service has noticeably declined, leaving me very dissatisfied.

I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and advise how it will be rectified.

Evans Halshaw Kia Hull. Just avoid. I have never ever had such poor customer service. They gave me a car for a test drive covered in dust and cobwebs with the detritus of the previous owner (dirty tissues, half-drunk water bottles, etc) sticky substance and rotting fruit in foot-well. Tyre pressure light on, engine light on, stop/start not working as battery too flat. Promised that it would be sorted on picking up. On pick-up, Warning lights still on. Sticky substance still on carpets and had thrown car mats out as fruit rotting on them. Despite buying car, refused to take delivery. Absolutely livid. Offered me ‘free’ car mats (which were supposed to be there) and money towards a valet at a place of my choice. Nearly £12000 paid and treated like idiots. I ended up buying a Kia which is just out of warranty so I don’t have to take my car to them and give them money. Woeful service. Just incredulous as to why they think they can treat customers this way.

I put my car on Carwow to be sold the dealer (Evans Halshaw Hull) which is over 200 miles away from my home address in Croydon picked up the car last week Friday (19.9.25) and drove it to the dealership. On Saturday 20th September 25 I contact Evans Halshaw (BM) to find out why I had not received payment and was sent a sales invoice but was told due to technical banking fault payment would not be made till Monday 22nd September because the system is not allowing him to make payment to me. On Monday I still did not receive payment so contacted Carwow who said the fault had been fixed and the payment would be received by the end of Monday. In the afternoon after chasing Evan Halshaw I receive email from BM claiming the car had had poor suspension repair and was unsafe and that the car had stocking unit finance so he know longer wanted the car.

I explained to BM that I was the second owner of the car, the car was a gift that was purchased from a Kia dealer and have not had any suspension works done or been in any accident and queried what unit stocking unit was as my car was not on any finance.

I have called carwow everyday this week to find out how the dealership Evan Halshaw can go from attempting to pay me for the vehicle on Saturday and send me a sales invoice then on Monday claim the car is unsafe and say they dont want it with no supporting evidence to there claims that the car was unsafe if the car was unsafe how did it manage to be driven over 200 miles from my home address to the dealership.

The dealership Evan Halshaw has told me to come and collect the car othwise I will be charged storage fees or have it delivered at my own expense which means 400 miles would be put on the cars mileage clock and my time wasted by Evans Halsaw with no proof to support there claims

I have been trying to contact the dealership Evans Halshaw for payment to be made or my car returned to me but they had stopped commenting with me. I have copied Carwow in to all the emails and called everyday this week to be told it will be looked into and I will get a call back a week later and still no call back from Carwow, I am without payment and my car is still at the dealership in Hull I not in a position to go and collect it from the dealer nor do I have funds to pay for the car to be delivered back to me.

I am being ignored by both the dealer and Carwow so now I have no choice other that to report the stollen.

I have been informed that a Stocking Unit Finance has been taken out on the car by Evans Halshaw but yet they are still refusing to make payment to me for the car.

Sales rep (Connor) was great from start to finish. Very polite & professional. Explained in detail any questions we had. Quick to send information across & easy to get hold of over the phone. Would recommend!
