Well what can i say . Approached this dealership as had a fantastic experience on my previous car buying experience . Asked for a deal on A new mustang GT . Sadly the salesperson who was lovely. Had to keep going to manager for figures and approval. Unfortunately due to managers inability to be proactive in securing a deal i went elsewhere after7 days of no communication .
. Now placed my order
with another dealer . Seems evans halshaw can afford to turn business away or the sales principle ( manager) doesnt care . Never underestimate your customers! Lesson learnt eh

Have no problem with the car sales my granddaughter bought a lovely little car salesman was great but I paid for two years warranty a year and a half later she had a problem as she works about half an hour away we were advised not to drive it except straight to a garage I know in the warranty it said it had to be inspected and authorised I spoke to the garage and the warranty people and told them we couldn't get the car to them as she needed the car straight away for work I was lucky enough to get a vat registered garage to do the work couple of hours warranty not going to even look at work or invoice because of protocol not followed great aftercare

We purchased a ford focus from this company, while there we were talked into buying extra warenty which we didn’t want or after buying the car could really afford, the company mot the car before collection, about 5 miles down the road a wheel sensor failed, I was told to carry on home and it would probably correct itself, it didn’t, they wouldn’t collect the car to sort the problem so I had to get it repaired then send them the bill also the new key they said they would supply with the car so I had 2 keys was a old tatty thing that keeps falling apart, they wanted me to post this back just not understanding that me and the wife both need a working key at all times. We were so disappointed when we polished the car and found scratches on the roof, front wing rear door all been covered up by using black polish, we ended up selling the car at a loss, now the company refuses to cancel the monthly payments for the extended warranty that we quite frankly never wanted in the first place. And they don’t reply to emails once they have your money your no longer important,Be very careful buying from these people.

We had an absolute amazing experience with Evans Halshaw in Bedford, Brandon was excellent in helping us buy our car and assisted us from start to finish. From the moment we went in Brandon was professional, friendly and extremely knowledgeable, he honestly couldn’t have been more helpful, we highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy a new/used car. Agreed to buy a used car online without seeing. Was assured by the used car salesman all is good. Would have been protected by the 14-day rule anyway. Paid a £99 deposit. However, a couple of days later, he sends me an email with images of the car with scratched bodywork. I immediately cancelled the deal by email that was on 23rd June 2025. The car never left their premises.I have repeatedly requested in writing the refund of my £99 deposit. I'm ignored, and the last response was It's not us, we have done our part, it's the responsibility of the accounts department !! Err you took my money !! I left a complaint on their website (contact us) explaining all with details and my contact information. I have issued a last letter before court action, but still no joy. Terrible company to deal with.

We bought car one and half year ago from evans ford bedford with the three-year warranty so that we could drive around without any worries, but as soon as a breakdown occurred, that's when it started, you'll pay £180 for diagnostics and then we'll tell you if it can be fixed under warranty, people, if you buy a used car and they start trying to foist some kind of insurance or warranty on you, don't even agree, it will be cheaper for you to fix it somewhere else, this was my second car from this company and the last one, never again!!!

Just bought my new ford puma and loving it so far. Eddy was great throughout the process, delivered timely updates and was keen to work on any concerns I had. Top service, would 100% recommend.

I would not recommend using Evans Halshaw Ford Bedford. I was sold a ford kuga (at distance so no chance for a test drive) that had 'passed their 123 point inspection'. The head gasket was faulty, the engine mount was faulty to the point the entire engine block moved when changing gear, and the battery needed replacing, amongst other more minor things. The refund took 10 days because their 'automated system didn't work', and that was only after daily phonecalls. I was told that all the paperwork would be completed by them on return of the car, but six weeks later the change of ownership still wasn't complete. It's only complete now after chasing them again by phone (emails having been ignored) that it's finally been done.

The only reason it's not one star is a couple of the staff seem competent at clearing up others' mistakes.

We purchased a car from Vauxhall Evans Halshaw in Bedford, collecting it on 22nd February (2025). Unfortunately, the entire experience has been extremely disappointing.

When we collected the car, it was raining heavily, limiting our ability to inspect it properly. However, we immediately noticed the interior was filthy, despite being promised it would be cleaned before collection. Upon driving the car home, we discovered rear-end damage that had not been present at the time of purchase. We reported this immediately and were instructed to send photos, which we did promptly.
We were then told to bring the car in for a smart repair on 8th March. After driving there, we were informed the smart repair technician hadn’t shown up. Upon closer inspection, the salesman admitted the damage was more extensive and required a full body shop repair and a courtesy car, which added to the delays. We also had to replace perished wiper blades (surprising given the car had supposedly passed an MOT), with a promise of reimbursement that still has not been honoured.

Despite numerous emails and phone calls over five weeks, we received no action until we visited the dealership in person. Only then did a manager acknowledge the unacceptable delays and poor handling of our case. The car was eventually booked in, but the first repair was of extremely poor quality. A second manager agreed it was unacceptable, and the bumper was eventually fully resprayed — this time to a better standard, though with a slight imperfection remaining (we collected car this time around on the 17th April). However, even though this issue had been sorted, we noticed the aerial was missing for some bizarre reason. No one knew why and this had to be replaced...

Throughout this process, communication has been poor, promises have been repeatedly broken, and we feel completely let down. What should have been an exciting new car purchase turned into a stressful and frustrating ordeal. To date, they have reimbursed us a tank of petrol for our troubles, but this whole situation has been completely unprofessional and incredibly time-consuming.

Brandon was really helpful during the buying process. He answered all questions, professional service. Quick and easy buying process.

Broke down out of working hours over a weekend and was towed to Evans Halshaw Ford. They checked it over on the Monday and it was ready to collect Wednesday.
