The service area is very much our of the way and not a place to sit and wait for very long. I am considering returning to Chester.

1. The message that we were travelling a long way and would want to take the car immediately was not passed on to the sales person so the car was not fully prepared.

2. The sales person was more interested in selling insurance products than cars. They wasted lots of time explaining about products that we told them we did not want, including finance. when they had failed to sell us these products, the manager came over to try again. This was extremely annoying when we clearly werent interested. The staff were insurance sales people, not car sales people.

3. The Internet connection in the showroom was almost unusable. We could not get on the network for some unknown reason. The phone signal was so bad that we had to go outside to be able to do the considerable amount of online admin. This also wasted lots of time.

4. After coming away from the showroom, it was very clear once the car had reached 60mph that there was a fault causing excessive noise. Although this will be covered by the warranty, it will cause a significant inconvenience to us to get it fixed.

Improvements required
Improve communication between staff
Sort out the Internet issues.
Ease up on the hard sell for finance and insurance products when customers are obviously not interested.
Check that the cars are in good condition before selling. Some basic quality control is needed.

The whole experience was way more stressful than it should have been and took more than twice as long as it should have.

Jake was an amazing salesman. Helped me, in my time of need and made things happen within 24hours. Kept me updated throughout the 24hours of purchasing my car and went big and beyond to help me with all the paperwork. Couldn’t recommend him enough! Thank you so much for your help.

Terrible company. Would never buy a car from them again. Sold us a faulty car, returned it and received £2.5k less than we bought it for, also sold us a miss sold guarantee that was not compatible with our type of vehicle, and also made us pay the towing fees to return the car. STAY AWAY

Very helpful friendly and professional and honest

Marco was our salesperson and was brilliant. Very informative and gave us an excellent video & commentary of the car which was extremely helpful as we were driving from Bristol to view/purchase the car, he was very upfront and transparent about a couple of issues on the car which he arranged to be sorted out and were completed to a good standard with no complaints. Excellent customer service. Thank you.

Massive thanks to Amjad at BYD Shrewsbury for a pleasant used car buying experience. The transaction was slightly complicated, but Amjad kept us informed every step of the way and we’ve bought a great car, I would be happy to buy from here again.

Poor customer service, rude Service department took three months to get back to me. promised a call from a manager and received nothing, left a poor review on Google and got a message back saying someone would look into it and management would contact me back.
one week later and no further contact. clearly don't care about customer service.

Now today 11/02/26 comes to light was sold with 2 months MOT, not 6 as minimum or 12 as promised.

Amazing Service and Service. The quality od the actual service was awesome. I particularly liked the video update and continuous correspondence, both Pre Arrival and Post Service/MOT.

I was informed back in Nov someone would respond to my complaint, heard nothing and now the car is flashing the same fault again

I recently bought a car from Evans Halshaw BYD in Shrewsbury and my experience has been incredibly positive so far. Amjad went above and beyond to make the buying process smooth and enjoyable. All queries were answered quickly and the whole process handled professionally and efficiently. I really can’t fault the service.

My experience with Evans Halshaw BYD Shrewsbury has been extremely disappointing, involving poor service, faulty vehicle, lack of communication, and what I believe is a serious breach of transparency regarding the finance and warranty changes.

Requested resolution

1. Allow me to return the vehicle and exchange it for another of the same specification.

2. Waive any small price difference as a goodwill gesture.

3. Reinstate my two-year warranty at no cost to me

Everyone we dealt with at the dealership was nothing but friendly and helpful. Kellie was great and was able to answer every and any questions we had while providing a faultless service. Her and Josh went above and beyond to help us with our trade in and vehicle purchase.
