Had a new workshop roof put on with solar, Environmental Roofing Services Limited did exactly what they said they were going to do, great job great staff very professional service, well recommended, saving a fortune on my electricity bills. Many thanks.

We have expanded our Solar Panel array and went straight to this company. We used them before in 2021 and received a fantastic service from the team in the office to the electrician and roofer placing the Solar Panels.
Quick and straightforward. Made a joint plan and it was executed. Professionally by competent people. All in a reasonable price.

Had some issues with my gutters and a few small roofing repairs required, I enquired to Environmental roofing services, although they could not get to me immediately they kept me updated on planned date of arrival. Today 2 gentleman turned up, looking very professional in the company van and uniform and set to work. They kept busy and finished in a timely manner, even tidied up after themselves.

They did try to sell me Solar, however not in a position to purchase right now, however they will be who I do contact when I am ready to do so.

Highly recommend Environmental Roofing services for anything roofing/solar.

Contracted this company to fix a leaking gutter in my business property. Paid deposit to get work started.
The first attempt saw them place the new gutter covering the existing down pipes causing massive flooding of my property and the neighbours.
Second attempt was to extend the new gutter to cover the whole of my property which should have happened in the first place.
After several remedial visits, the roof was still leaking despite verbal guarantees that they would fix it.
Workmanship was appalling.
To add insult to injury, they then took me to court to force me to pay for the work they had done.
Avoid at all costs.

Excellent company to deal with. George and the team had great insight and were able to answer all my questions and explained the process thoroughly.

Also, I approached a lot of other companies and Environmental gave me the best service and best deal.

Would highly recommend.

We bought solar panels and a battery from ERS three years ago and suddenly the battery stopped working before Christmas. I called the director of business development, George Horn, who sold me the installation and explained my predicament. George directed me to one of their technicians, Rob.

I called Rob on an extremely busy day - the first day back after the Christmas and New Year holiday. He did not tell me how busy he was or ask me to call back later. Instead, he walked me through the rectification process and in under half an hour my ERS-installed solar panels were again sending electricity to the battery.

With the price of fuel going through the roof and with declining meagre assistance from HM Government, we are grateful to not only have solar power to manage our energy consumption, but to have made the decision to use a company with great after sales service to install their product. Kudos to ERS.

Pleased with the work carried out by ERS installing our home solar system. Despite the national demand, everything ran like clockwork due to the fact they have everything in house; Scaffolders and electricians etc

Highly professional setup
We’re really happy with our domestic Solar PV plus battery system.I chose ERS as George came across as Authentic and trustworthy and this remained through all involved in my project.

Sure, there were some logistical supply and weather challenges which meant we ran a little later than originally planned. We also had a couple of issues during the roof replacement but were dealt with quickly and effectively.

Mobin was responsive and communicative throughout, and we worked through the issues.

These guys clearly take pride in the end result, and made sure that everything was spot on. I would not hesitate to refer them to family and friends.

I researched a lot of different companies that operated in the area to get the best quotes and deals and ERS offered the best value for money, the best battery and the most panels.
Service was excellent and the whole system is up and running without a hitch. Special thanks to Mobin who was particularly helpful throughout!

Followup calls for clarifications were also accepted and addressed appropriately.

4 years ago I had Solar fitted by ERS. They did a truly exceptional job. At the time I expressed an interest in Storage batteries, but ERS were honest & told me that at that time batteries would not benefit me in any way (I think most companies would have just fitted batteries & taken my Cash).
Now 4 years on, Battery technology has advanced and ERS has fitted a storage battery.
Again they have worked in a totally professional manner & done an excellent Job 👍👍👍

I had my Solar panels fitted to my house by ErS ltd six years ago , I was not sure at time if I was doing the right thing after a smooth install the proof would be how much I would be saving on electricity bills , not only I am saving on my bills my grandson bank account has grown and with the FIT at the time he should have enough to get him through University well done ErS ltd

The ERS Team have been great, the initial enquiry was dealt with by a knowledgeable salesman who detailed all of our options and the systems he believed would suit us. This was followed by a detailed Quotation based on our house size, requirements etc. After answering a couple of queries we had and receiving multiple quotes from other companies we chose ERS for our solar installation.
The scaffolders arrived, fitted it all on day 1 and were both polite and informative about the work. Day 2 was a little awkward as we had all the staff and no equipment, but this was remedied and both the roof fitters and electricians completed the install very efficiently and kept us well informed throughout. The panels are in place and the system running, we have received our handover pack so we can apply for the SEG cash :) Throughout the entire process the staff and subcontractors have been amazing, nothing was to much trouble and any issues were dealt with in a kind and thoughtful way, which left us with a feeling that ERS and their Subbies really do believe in quality. I appreciate that some customers may have had a bad experience but we had a great time, maybe it was the tea and coffee on tap or the professionalism of the guys but whatever, it went well. The after service seems great although we are only 2 weeks in, all calls are answered quickly and any queries dealt with. I would use ERS Ltd again and would recommend them to my friends. It started so well. This is a long review, as so much went wrong. I chose ERS because they were one of the few companies that could answered my detailed technical questions and had a reasonable quote. I placed my order and we agreed a start date. The scaffolding arrived a day early. A good sign I thought and from thereon in nothing but problems. It transpires that ERS were not doing the work themselves, they had subcontracted to various other installers, many of whom didn’t know each other or hadn't worked together. To me it was obvious that the panel configuration proposed was not going to fit on my roof (landscape v portrait fitting of the solar panels). So when the fitters arrived they didn’t have enough of the right clamps. First of many delays. These duly arrived. Now the internet cable was missing. That was sent to wrong address. Another delay. None of the fitters had fitted a battery of such a size (80kg). So they need a hoist to get into the loft. More delays. So at the stage, a one day installation had turned into three weeks. Now the fun really started. It transpired that the fitters didn’t know how to commission the system, so I did it by talking it through with Givenergy (the System Suppliers) It seemed to be working, but the system kept tripping the RCD. So I got a professional electrician to look the work, and he found out that the wiring was dangerous and had already started to melt and burn out the control unit. His advice was that if left unchanged it would cause a fire with potentially disastrous consequences. As ERS had messed up the installation, they booked Givenergy to fit the replacement. The Givenergy fitter said it was the worse installation he had ever seen. At this stage I refused to pay for the installation. I’d happily pay for the hardware but not the installation. And then came the threats. Pay up the next day or they would (illegally) remove the panels and battery. Or they would keep the scaffolding in place. So I complained to their trade body NAPIT. Because of that ERS employees returned to undertake a complete (Re)installation. That took two days. I thought that was finished until a few day later Givenergy rang me to say that it was not possible to complete a software download and that I would have to check the memory stick in the unit in the loft. On the phone, I followed Givenergy instructions only to find there was no memory stick in the unit ! This installation would have never worked ! Once this was rectified it started to work, and has been every since. But the story does not end there. The handover pack was not as required by NAPIT. It took three months to get a correct installation and six months for ERS to supply correct documentation. There are many installers out there. Look at my experience and see if ERS are for you. And finally at no stage have ERS even apologised or acknowledged it was a botched installation. It was only because their trade body got involved that this matter has been resolved.

In June 2021 I appointed ERS to remove my solar panels, re-roof my house, then reinstall the solar panels. They gave me a start date of 12 July, but that day only a rep. (Danny) arrived to assess the roof and said the job was booked in for 19 July. Scaffolders came the next Sunday, but refused to erect scaffolding as a bare wire needed to be made safe to avoid the risk of fire if there were a lightning strike. (I wondered why the assessor a week earlier had not reported this). Materials were delivered a few days later but despite chasing ERS numerous times they failed to send anyone to start work. I finally pursued the problem through an organisation ERS was registered with, and learned from the mediator that there was no possibility of ERS undertaking the contract I had agreed with them 2 months earlier due to staff shortages, and that there was no possibility of them ever doing so, even though I was willing to wait a little longer until they had appointed more staff. I thought myself lucky to find an alternative contractor who was able to fit my job into his schedule in November, but it was only then that I discovered ERS's incompetence extended to a failure to order sufficient roof tiles, so my new contractor had to acquire more at an extra cost to what I had already paid ERS an inflated price for.
I was disturbed to see other complimentary reviews here about work carried out at the same time as ERS were contractually obligated to me, but claiming (through their intermediary) that they were suffering staff shortages so could (would?) not having charged me over the odds for roofing materials.

Our instillation took place during the height of supply issues in August 2021. This had a adverse effect on the time to complete the job but inconvenienced us very little. Without these delays and a misunderstanding with the panel fitters it would have been 5 stars.
The quote for work was extremely competitive compared to other we had received and Tim (Palmer) was excellent at leading us though the process and always readily available to answer quires and update on progress.
Particularly pleased with the team that eventually came to fit the batteries. They when out of their way to install them in the best position for our requirements and not just the most convenient for them. Would recommend then to anyone.
