Ernest Jones - Colchester Anmeldelser 

My husband and I purchased our wedding jewellery from Colchester EJ. I have a LeVian set. Admittedly, I’ve had several quality issues with my engagement ring, which isn’t an EJ issue, they are only stockists, but each time that I’ve had to go back to EJ for their help, I’ve always had amazing service, i could never fault them and would absolutely recommend them.

Always terribile customer service at the Colchester store. We have recently bought an eternity ring and a 1k watch, yet the two managers are always so unpleasant and rude as if we are waisting their precious time. Yesterday I was in the store to resize a ring and the manager rolled her eyes at me for daring to ask to measure it’s size. The only good staff they have is a lovely young lady but they are always busy so you cannot ask to be served by a specific member of staff.
If the first time we walked in the store we hadn’t been served by the lovely blond young lady, but by one of the managers, we would have never stepped in the store again, and yesterday I was bitterly reminded of that. Please train you managers to be kind and polite to customers!

Visited colchester branch of Ernest Jones, i recieved very polite and friendly service. The store was very clean with lovely displays, would definitely return.

Me and partner (newly fiancé) visited this store among others to look for an engagement ring. Some of the other stores we had visited made us feel a little unwelcome or turned their nose up at us & our budget.
When we came into Ernest jones, we were greeted by Laura. She was so helpful and so kind & helped us find the perfect ring. We also had the pleasure of being looked after by Sam.
We cannot recommend this store enough.

So 3 1/2 years ago I took my precious sapphire and Diamond eternity ring of approximately 35 years old to be repaired. Ernest Jones lost it ! I was so upset but kept my calm , the value of the ring was approx £1000.00 , they replaced it with a similar ring although the stones were a different shape . Sadly due to what I think is extremely poor quality one of the sapphires fell out I took it back to the Colchester branch to seek its repair . Now baring in mind for the last year I have not been able to wear my rings due to Cancer treatment and my hands swelling , I have been told its wear and tear !!! Im retired so I find it hard to understand that a Ring supposed to be valued at £1,399.00 wears out in 2 1/2 years ? I have been quoted £596 to have the stone replaced and 20 clasps to be renewed and to have the hallmark reinstated, strangely when the shop phoned to tell me the cost it was only £560 now its £596 but with a10% discount for goodwill which brings it back to near the original repair price. I am also concerned that the lady in the shop questioned the quality of the metal as there was no sign of any Hallmark ! I might add this is a ring that was made for me in 18 ct gold which was made and supplied by Ernest Jones !!!! as i didn't want the white Gold . So they even question there own products

I went in to view wedding bands and the two lovely ladies helped me with asking what it was I was looking for . They knew what they had in stock and got them for me to view. They did not rush me and let me have time to make a choice. After making my choice and paid for my purchase the service I received was excellent.

I must say that I have been really impressed with the service at the shop in Colchester. I have used their service for looking for my partners wedding ring… I did then but it online but bought the wrong size and they kindly stopped it over in the shop. Always polite, helpful and even though I bought it online, couldn’t have done more for me. I will buy in the shop next time!

It is so important that the staff at the Colchester branch see this and receive the praise that they truly deserve, namely Catherine and Sam.

I was devastated a few months ago by the loss of my mother, followed by the awful realisation that 2 items of enormous emotional value were also missing, After a very lengthy insurance claim, I was able to approach the Colchester store for help; I couldn't be more happier with the help and understanding I received by these lovely 'gals'.

Replacing family jewellery has never been so poignant as both parents are no longer here. I needed to get something that was meaningful in terms of memories, beautiful and sparkly like my Mother, and something like an 'old school timeless timepiece' to remember my father by.

Both girls listened to what was required and were so helpful and patient too, even going as far as emailing me images of the items so I could see what they looked like on someone, before my final choice was made.

What's more, the items were delivered extremely quickly and they are just as stunning as I had hoped.

Thank you Earnest Jones for your wonderful staff and your lovely jewellery collection and your amazing stock of fabulous Longines watches, which enabled me to find exactly what I was looking for.

Very happy with the chain they didn’t have it in stock in the shop so they sent me a brand new one in the post. I really am satisfied with the product and good reliable service.

We bought my engagement ring here last week. The staff member was really helpful and friendly. Very knowledgable about the products and I was glad we chose this store to make our purchase.

Excellent service from sales assistant. I bought 2 x Armani watches, for a surprise 18th & 21st birthdays.
Sorry I don’t remember her name, Colchester branch, about 5’4’ with dark brown long hair.
I had one of my sons with me & she was very professional & discreet.
