Shocking Experience at Volvo Maidenhead.
Last month, I had a persistent error message pop up, referencing my parking sensors being inoperative. Took the car in to be assessed on Wednesday 14/01/26 and was promised a call with the outcome of my warranty claim to repair the issue by Friday 16/01/26. By Monday 19/01/26, I’d had no email so I emailed - No reply. I emailed again on Tuesday 20/01, no reply. On Wednesday I called and was told the advisor had only just received confirmation of the claim and that she’d seen my emails and was about to respond. If that was the case, why not respond to the initial email and tell me they were still waiting for a response?
Today, my car went in for its repair. By 15:30, I’d had no communication so tried calling - No answer. I tried calling 5 more times during the course of the afternoon with no answer until eventually, I went to the dealership at 17:30 to find out what was going on.
After waiting for 15 mins, my keys were hurriedly shoved into my hands and that was it. No explanation of what was done, what was found.. No apology for the lack of communication… Nothing.
Not two minutes after leaving the dealership, the error message appeared again. I returned to the dealership to advise of this and when I asked if any work was actually done today (as I had no explanation or communication whatsoever) I was told that the entire module was replaced and obviously this meant that there was a wider issue and that the best that she could do was speak to the technician on Monday and give me a call then.
I have a number of issues with that statement…
1. When the car went in for a diagnostics test, this was apparently the only issue that was found which is why the module needed replacing. Where does the “wider issue” come from?
2. Given the two separate instances of no communication, am I genuinely going to get a call on Monday morning?
3. Surely if I car comes in for repair, once the repair is done, it’s tested to ensure the repair is successful? Clearly that wasn’t done.
4. I will be travelling out of the country for two weeks from next Thursday which means the additional repairs can only be done when I return. This means, after being away for two weeks, I will again have to ask for time away from work to take my car in as it seems Volvo Maidenhead have a shortage of courtesy cars.
I find this level of service from a supposed luxury brand quite shocking.

Last week I booked a Test drive for today at 12 Noon with at the North West London Volvo dealership.
I turned up about 8 mins late due to trying to find a space to park my car, you need a bigger customer carpark.
I spoke to reception telling them I had a test drive of a XC90 but I couldn't remember the name of the sales consultant.
The receptions went away then came back and said someone would be with me in 5 to 10 mins, while waiting the sales consultant I spoke to and booked the test drive with last week came past me so I thought he was just sorting the car out, as I saw him picking up trade plates
I was left sitting there for over 25 minutes and no one came to speak with me or check on me.
So I got up and spoke to the receptionist I told them it was the Indian gent in grey turns out his name is Ali.
Who it seems had either double booked or totally forgotten about me as he went out on a test drive with someone else.
Now I am not sure if its because I am a black man, or its because I was potentially buying a used car, and the other gent is white and maybe its because he is buying a brand new car, but it's not the way a potential customer with between £35000 and £40000 to buy a car cash and then spend money on servicing wants to be treated.
You have lost a customer that was potentially going to spend the best part of £50000 with this dealership.
I will now go and deal with the dealership that look after my brothers XC60, they know how to do customer service.

Would give no stars if could.
Have to go to this Chiswick garage due to our warranty terms - were supposed to go in for simple part fitting in July 2025, called day before to check as we hadn't heard anything, but they had no record of our booking.
Kept calling up over the following months and being passed from call centre to call centre - it seemed to be nobody's job to deal with us and we kept getting disconnected. After several emails, we finally got a December appointment. We drove an hour to get there, dropped off the car and heard nothing. Returned at 3pm the same day to learn our car hadn't been seen yet and they didn't have the spare part anyway!
We then had to wait for an engineer to do a diagnosis to 'confirm' what we already knew, which was that the part was needed, and were then sent home and told we'd get a callback about the part. It's now nearly February and, after several chaser emails, we now know they (allegedly) have the part, but still no appointment. At this point, why bother

I can see by the ratings that bad customer service is normal for Endeavour. Contacted the Romford Volvo dealer to purchase a 3 year service plan for my new vehicle. I used whatsapp as point of contact and was told that someone would contact me the next day to go through my options to purchase a plan. Next day came and nothing. So I contacted again and was told someone will contac you tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went and not response. Left it another day and contacted them again to be told someone will contact tomorrow, again, nothing. Its obvious they do not want my business and I will now spend my £1299 on a plan at another dealer.

I had my car (Polestar 2) serviced by Endeavour North West London in September 2025 which was fine if a little overpriced. They identified a part which needed replacing under warranty and told me the part was on back order.
Since then (4 months ago) I have heard nothing from the company - which is in itself very poor customer service.
However the main reason I have awarded 1 star is that the company is all but un-contactable. I have called the service department on multiple occasions each time waiting over 30m in a phone queue only to be put through to an answerphone.
I've left answerphone messages asking to be called back.
I've left messages with the dealership reception asking to be called back.
I've spoken to a receptionist who promised me a call back immediately.
I've approached the dealership via Polestar, but they too are unable to get through.
Finally I've chatted to the Endeavour Automotive official WhatsApp account and they have requested I think 5 times now over the past month, that the dealership call me.
In every single case no body can be bothered to call one of their paying customers... I am totally incredulous as to how this is an effective business model.
We were genuinely considering buying a Volvo car north of £50k and there is now absolutely no way that this dealership is going to get any of our business. Surely their contempt for paying customers is not sustainable??
[Standby for the AI crafted response about how bad it is that I can't get through and could I call/email xxx to discuss. If you want to speak to me you can get my number from the dealership (my name's Mike Hall)...if you can get through....]
UPDATE:
Head of business James May did indeed contact me shortly after I posted the review. He was apologetic for the lack of communication and says he has been recently recruited to address poor customer feedback issues. I think he will have an uphill struggle, and I really hope he has been given a realistic budget to address what are obviously currently sistemic problems for Endeavour. Their consistently poor reviews are not going to be solved by one person alone without resources to address the issue.

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service from Volvo Dealership Watford.
I paid £421.24 in October 2025 for a repair and have been trying for over one week to obtain a copy of the invoice so I can file my VAT return. Despite repeated phone calls, the experience has been nothing short of frustrating.
They have answered the phone only three times in a week, and on those occasions the responses were dismissive and unhelpful. The accounts department never answers, and the reception team has repeatedly made false promises that someone would call back or email the invoice — which has never happened.
For a premium brand like Volvo, this level of poor communication, lack of accountability, and complete disregard for a customer’s time is unacceptable. An invoice is a basic legal document, and chasing it for over a week should not be necessary.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious if they expect timely paperwork or professional after-sales support.

Our experience with Volvo West London has been shocking. They are overwhelmed with work to the point where you can’t get through on the phone, you can’t book appointments, appointments you do have are cancelled or they don’t return your car to you and don’t update you. My car was supposed to have a simple software update today - our fourth attempt after they kept the car for two days at the first appointment (and also failed to keep us updated and just did diagnostics without fixing the issue which is just a software update), the second appointment wasn’t actually booked in, the third attempt I arrived and was turned away as “their system was down”. The fourth appointment was to be today and they emailed at the weekend to say they would need to keep the car for “several days if not weeks”. “Weeks”, for a simple software update. I obviously didn’t take it because who can leave the car at the garage for weeks? I also cannot get through on the phone to discuss. Our car also needs an MOT and service soon but I will have to take it elsewhere. My advice to any Volvo driver is to take your car anywhere but here. They simply cannot manage their workload and their customer service is non-existent.

I purchased an XC90 Approved Used car from Volvo Cars East London in September 2025. And unfortunately, the entire experience has been far below the standard I expected from a premium brand.
The Buying Process: The initial sales process was incredibly problematic. The salesperson was unknowledgeable and unable to provide basic clarity, requiring a great deal of patience on my part just to complete the purchase. What should have been a premium experience felt like a stressful chore.
Initial Faults & Lack of Support: Upon delivery, the car immediately displayed an error light for the main beams. Despite this being an "Approved Used" vehicle, the dealership took no responsibility for the fault. Instead of resolving it themselves, they simply referred me to Volvo Assistance. This is a clear failure of the "150-point Multipoint Check" promised by the Volvo Selekt program.
Critical Safety Concern: Mismatched Tires The most concerning issue—and the reason I am posting this review now—is the state of the tires. Today I have discovered the car was sold to me with three different types of tires with varying tread depths.
Front: Two different Pirelli models.
Rear: Two Goodyear tires (lacking the required 'VOL' markings).
For a heavy AWD (All-Wheel Drive) vehicle like the XC90, Volvo’s own technical specifications strongly dictate that the same brand, model, and tread depth should be maintained across all four wheels to avoid damaging the drivetrain. Selling an AWD car in this "mismatched" state is a breach of Volvo Selekt standards and poses a legitimate safety and mechanical risk.
The lack of attention to detail and the poor mechanical preparation of this vehicle are unacceptable for a main dealer. I expected a safe, roadworthy vehicle prepared to premium standards; instead, I have been left with a car that was fundamentally misrepresented during the Selekt inspection.

I purchased a used Hyundai Tucson from Hyundai North London (Endeavour Automotive) for over £20,000, expecting a decent level of quality and service. Instead, I was handed a car with a fuel lid fault from day one, which made it almost impossible to refuel. Despite reporting the issue immediately and booking the car in several times, the dealership refused to repair it under warranty and offered no written explanation.
It took escalating to Hyundai UK to even get the matter looked into. I was booked in unnecessarily on multiple occasions, travelled over 1.5 hours each way from my home, and visited the dealership at least six times in six months, taking time off work with no solution for months.
The communication was poor throughout. I was kept in the dark, given mixed messages, and told the wrong parts had been ordered — all while I was the one chasing for updates. The most shocking part was when the service manager shrugged it off by saying, “every car has problems.” That kind of attitude says everything about how they treat customers post-sale.
Only after relentless follow-ups was the issue finally resolved. But by then, the damage was done — this whole experience has caused serious stress, disrupted my plans, and completely destroyed my trust in this dealership.
If you value your time, money, and peace of mind — avoid this place.

🚨 ENDAVOUR VOLVO ROMFORD: SELL FIRST, DISAPPEAR AFTER 🚨
I bought a Polestar 2 Plus through Endeavour Volvo Romford, and once the sale was completed, the support completely disappeared.
When serious ownership and servicing issues arose with the vehicle, this dealership refused to take responsibility or provide meaningful help, despite being the selling dealer. Instead of assisting, they repeatedly distanced themselves, redirected me elsewhere, and made it clear they had no interest in resolving the problems.
As a result of the failures between Endeavour Volvo Romford and Polestar, I have been left unable to properly service my car, which is now at over 51,000 miles, with missed service intervals, ongoing mechanical and interior issues, and significant stress and financial impact.
What made this worse was the way I was treated as a customer:
• Dismissed rather than supported
• Passed around instead of helped
• Made to feel unwelcome when asking for legitimate assistance
There was no accountability, no ownership of the problem, and no effort to advocate for the customer — only avoidance.
This experience has caused months of unnecessary stress, loss of time, and damage to confidence in both the brand and the dealership. A dealership should stand behind what it sells. This one did not.
If you expect support after purchase, think very carefully before dealing with Endeavour Volvo Romford.

Brought my 2018 v90 in to the north west London branch in Sept 2025, for a check up regarding half of the drivers lumbar support not inflating. Which causes the driver to sit on an angle, further causing long journeys to be very uncomfortable for someone who suffers from lower back pain.
Vehicle was left for around 5/6days before I was called to collect the vehicle that had been rectified under warranty. Job sheet was provided, but no detail regarding works carried out.
A week later the issue arises again. I contact the same dealer who rebooks the vehicle in. (Wait on site job) after sitting there for 2hrs, I’m handed back my keys and told they have inspected the faulty part which didn’t hold from the last repair, invited to leave while they contract the warranty company to get authorization for the repairs. Which they would need to order parts for should it be authorized. (On the booking call I was told that the repair would be done on site same day)
The gentleman who initially booked the vehicle in had apparently left the company, not passed on any information regarding this job and therefore no follow up.
So, once again I will have to wait for a call back to be able to rebook the vehicle in again for a third time.
I understand there is process to getting things done. But clearly on this occasion there is a huge disconnect between the staff at the dealership, and the training they receive in terms of misinformation given to the customer.

Absolute disgrace of a company – do not touch them with a barge pole. Faulty parts, abysmal service in response to a complaint, and have increasingly damaged and scratched both the paintwork AND windscreen when the car has gone into the garage.
Where the hell do I start? Bought used Hyundai I20 in April, and initially the car was sold without working washer jets. Endeavor were perfectly helpful at getting it booked in to have this looked at, however I was already a little disappointed that this was not something that had been checked before the sale, especially as working windscreen wipers and jets are required for a car to pass an MOT!
Car went in on 9th May, and I went to collect that evening. Instantly as I got home I noticed significant scratching on passenger side of the windscreen (image attached). The scratching is clearly very visible and if it was there upon sale would have been something both me and my partner would have noticed as we took the vehicle for a test drive. The scratches had only appeared after I had taken the vehicle in for repairs on the windscreen jets. Rather than call up about the scratches, I informed the car servicing team about it face to face the following week when I booked the car in to have the parking sensors checked over. The service team assured me they'd have the scratches looked into.
Due to constant delays in the availability of their hire car, my car went in on 27-29th June eventually. When I went to collect my car, I was told that they believed the scratches were already on the vehicle when the car was sold to me, which is a load of crap, and therefore they could not do anything about it.
We searched for a complaints contact via the general Endeavor website – of which we could not find one (shock). My partner instead contacted the main Endeavor Whatsapp provided on their website. He exchanged a number of messages with them back and forth, and they continued to try and redirect us to the sales manager at the Ipswich branch. We had said that we were unsatisfied with this and wished to take the issue higher as we had already addressed this with the Ipswich branch. We were provided with a ‘complaints email’ address, which I then spent a huge amount of time writing to, to explain what had happened with the relevant images. After over a week of no response, we went back to their Whatsapp number and queried the lack of response only to be told that what we had been provided with was not a legitimate contact address!! So someone has had the audacity to make up a complaints email essentially.
At this stage I was absolutely exhausted with the chasing around after these useless people and decided to order some glass polish from Amazon to try and remedy the situation, as it was causing me more stress than it was worth.
When I purchased the car, the vehicle already had quite bad swirling on the paintwork. This was something that we had noted to the sales assistant that day, (NOT the windscreen), and as a result he had knocked a couple hundred off the price. I have attached an image of what the car paintwork looked like when I originally purchased it. I had taken the car into the garage in October as it had a recall for a potentially faulty fuel pump, and when I had collected it then I felt as though the scratching was worse but it was challenging to tell – I always handwash the vehicle to avoid making swirling worse, so I knew that it had not been caused by an automated carwash or something.
Fast-forward to now. I had to take my car in again on 22/11/25 due to a rattling on the passenger side that had been lasting for several months. I collected my car on 26/11/25, regrettably in the dark or I would have undoubtedly noticed sooner, and equally took the car to work and home again in the dark! Having now seen the vehicle under the petrol station lights I was absolutely appalled and incredibly upset by what I saw. My car has been completely damaged – Images attached. The level of damage goes beyond a bit of swirling and it simply looks scratched. I don’t even know how someone could do that level of damage to a car whilst washing it besides using 80 grit sandpaper!!! Not only is there very deep scratching/swirling, but a clear white scratch on the side of the bonnet.
I am both absolutely seething and also incredibly upset. I have just come home in floods of tears. I spent £13,500 of my hard-earned savings on that car, the most expensive thing I have ever paid for besides my house deposit, only for it to be utterly trashed and treated with no respect at all. At this point I will not be stopping at anything less than monetary compensation in order that I can, as a minimum, pay someone else to professionally machine polish my car.

March this year had a major service which was over £800. Really expensive compared to other main dealers that i have delt with previous. Today I called in Hyundai Ipswich) with a very minor fault . Low tyre pressure light on. And couldn't reset it . It would have taken them less than 5 minutes to fix it . But I got told that ( 1 ) . They were to busy . ( 2 ). That they would need to carry out a vehicle health check first so I would need to book it in . In the end I found out how to fix it myself and it took less than five minutes and cost me £1 . They were completely unhelpful. Plus wanted me to book it in for a vehicle health check which was not necessary and would have cost me god knows how much . After sales care is an embarrassment, non existent. Won't be buying another car from them . Plus wont be going back for my next service . Its very straight forward . My tyre low pressure light was on i needed the car for the weekend . I could not fineallyd a way to reset it . So I called into the hyundai ipswich branch . Which is where I brought the car . And as per normal really difficult to find somewhere to park i went and explained my problem. Knowing it would only take them less than five minutes to solve it . But I was told that they were to busy . And would have to book the car in and give it a health check. Which was not necessary. Very unhelpful attitude. So I left but then couldn't get out of the car park because a technician had blocked me in . Resulting in me having to have to wait for them to remove the car . In the end I found out how to reset it myself . Which cost me £1 . And took me less than 5 minutes to solve .

Booked my XC60 in for its annual MOT & service, First issue, expect to wait in a Telephone queue for at least 15mins before you can speak to anyone in the central booking Team. No advice given on different service options. Intitial advised service 6 costs £700+ only after checking online did I work out other options and called back after another 3 attempts booked a standard service for £299
Day of service car dropped early only to be told there's a problem with the workshop shutter and the work maybe delayed but they will call later to confirm.
Managed to check the car had at least passed it's MOT by checking the GOV / DVLA Websites, that's a first!
Multiple calls from 4pm trying to check status, then no call back until 5.20pm saying the car is ready. So just 40mins before they close.
Next Day finally collected, Car was dirty with soap marks all over the windows and bodywork. Checking under the bonnet washer filler cap was still open. Small details but then you wonder what else wasn't closed properly!
They have the monopoly in West London and you can tell, customer service? Who cares? No one in Endeavour Chiswick that's for sure. But you can always hear someone else complaining in the queue while you wait to finally get your car back from the service team.
If you value customer service and timely communication I’d avoid, I will not be returning to an Endeavour Group dealership that's for sure.

I recently purchased a used Volvo XC40 Recharge from this dealership. While I absolutely love the car itself—it is a fantastic vehicle to drive—the experience with the sales and service departments was genuinely shocking and unacceptable, especially given the premium price paid for the car. I strongly urge future buyers to proceed with extreme caution.
1. Administrative Misinformation & Finance Issues (Pre-Sale)
The paperwork process was frustrating. I was quoted the wrong interest rate on the agreed-upon finance, which I reluctantly overlooked to complete the deal. More concerningly, I purchased the added tire/rim protection package but was misinformed by the staff regarding the terms (specifically, the number of tires/rims covered), forcing me to call the insurer directly to clarify.
2. Unacceptable Vehicle Preparation
The level of vehicle preparation was the single most egregious issue. I was paying a top-end price and expected a fully detailed, serviced car.
My first attempt to collect the car was cancelled because the vehicle was delivered in terrible condition: covered in dog hair, food stains, and mud from the previous user.
Upon my return for the second collection, the car was still not charged as promised and the interior cleanliness was still visibly substandard.
3. Non-Existent Handover and Service
The lack of a proper handover was a massive failure of service. As a first-time EV owner, I needed a demonstration and information on the car's operations, charging, and general EV differences. Instead, I was merely directed to the receptionist to collect my keys, got into the car, and left. There was zero professional guidance provided.
4. Post-Sale Issues
The problems continued after the sale:
I had to immediately return to the dealership because my wheel locknut was misplaced, forcing me to wait nearly an hour for them to locate a solution (and they were initially reluctant to help).
Subsequently, a visit to a local Northwest London tire Kwik fit confirmed that the placement of my wheels was incorrect and needed to be rotated, indicating a fundamental lack of quality control in their service checks.
Summary:
While the car is a dream, the dealership failed on almost every metric: preparation, clarity, administrative accuracy, and customer support. This entire chain of events was deeply frustrating and demonstrated a concerning lack of respect for the customer's time and investment.
