Zero Customer Service
I was one of the original KickStarter backers for the Elwn Fit earbuds. Many backers suffered a number of mechanical and cosmetic issues with the initial earbud offering. That offering was also later than the scheduled release (Christmas 2016). Due to those failures and lateness of delivery a refund was offered to backers, or they could wait for the next batch after dealing with the issues. In retrospect I wish I had taken that refund, but based on their news that subsequent batches of earbuds would be in better condition, I patiently waited.
I received my earbuds and began testing the features. They looked fine cosmetically. There were bluetooth issues with some devices involving syncing lag; the voice not in time with the video. This would likely not be noticed where just listening to music.
I then came across a mechanical issue, where the cover for the charge point on a bud would not return into the housing. It does not hamper the listening, but does looking unsightly with the cover dangling beneath the bud when in use.
I emailed customer support for an RMA number, an ID for returning products. Nothing. I tried a week later. Still nothing. I tried a fortnight later to multiple contact email addresses from their website. Nothing. Given that their site states a response within 48 hours, being ignored for this long is simply unacceptable. I can only assume that they are too busy dealing with all of their other complaints to handle those from international customers.
