We needed to make two trips to Wigan and Manchester. The van was loaded for the first trip using the side door which fell off upon attempting to close it. Luckily, it was myself - a strapping lad who was holding the heavy door when it failed; if it were my wife, there would have been a serious injury to deal with!
We then had to wait two hours for the AA to attend. These two hours destroyed our time budget and rendered the hire of the van to be a waste.
We were assured that a member of the management team would contact us with a view to offering a reduction in our fee: no such call was made. The AA technician assessed the failed door and concluded that it had been hit by a forklift and had not been correctly repaired - or not repaired at all. I had no reason to disbelieve his suggestion that no effort would be made to rectify the failure and that the van would go out on hire immediately after we had returned it.

Easy to book, excellent service from the sales executives to the account managers and the people who arranged to meet me with the car at a satellite location. Their after sales car was also excellent and prompt. They are always responsive on calls and I will definitely be booking with them again as they were competitive on price too. Accounts team were very efficient too. No hesitation to recommend.

Very enjoyable experience hiring from Elliot’s. We hired 2 vans for an event and both were exactly what we needed. The best bit about this company is the staff. They were very friendly and helpful throughout. One lady, I believe she is called Lauren, even offered to fill up my water bottles when I returned the van as I dropped it outside the offices. I will 100% turn to them again when I need to hire a vehicle.

The firm Doesn’t even deserve 1 star.
The Staff were Completely unprofessional, deceitful and unwilling to offer flexibility. The van which was booked and paid for in advanced over 2 weeks ago.
I asked for a specific car, a Mercedes Vito for 9 passengers. They told us they have 2 available for that day will either be a 2021 or 2022 reg.
On the ACTUAL DAY whilst stood in front of the desk to complete the paperwork to collect the car, they THEN informed us they don’t have either of the Vans available, but an 8 seater 2019 Toyota was available instead and would be the same price. This was not possible under our circumstances as we have 9 passengers for this journey. The staff were extremely rude and unapologetic and didn’t provide us with a notice in advance to prepare for alternative arrangements. I am absolutely appalled at the level of service and will not engage with this company ever again!
Please steer clear of this firm and opt for better competitors like Enterprise or Hertz who are much more professional and courteous.

Very nice friendly staff. I hired out a car from the same place eight or nine months previously and all the staff were still there working for the company. This to me shows that they are happy and contented and they always greet you with a nice smile.

I recently hired a van from Elliotts car and van hire for a weekend trip. I was very impressed with the entire experience. The customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful, and they were very accommodating when I needed to make a last-minute change to my reservation. The prices were very competitive, and the van was in excellent condition. It was clean and well-maintained, and it had everything I needed for my trip. The pickup and drop-off locations were also very convenient. I would definitely recommend Elliotts car and van hire to anyone looking for a car or van hire.

Hired a van from mia and saf Mia is really good at her job and saf made the process clear quick and and an enjoyable moment will deffo use them again the only problem I had was getting Mia to shut up lol 😆 😊

The chiller van was in poor condition externally, but did the job and kept food cold.
