Absolutely awful experience
Absolutely awful experience. What was meant to be a relaxing night away turned into one of the worst experiences we have ever faced.
We arrived at the apartment to find it absolutely freezing. The moment we walked in, it was clear there was no heating on. We followed the guide provided to turn the heating on, but nothing worked. It quickly became obvious that the thermostat was broken. We then checked the boiler, only to find it wasn’t on at all — and there was no button or way to turn it on ourselves.
We called, emailed, and sent text messages to the company and received no response at all.
Because there was no hot water, we couldn’t even shower properly. Instead, we had to boil the kettle and wash ourselves in the sink. This was in the middle of winter, with temperatures dropping to –2°C in Chester, and there was no way to warm up inside the apartment. It was genuinely miserable and completely unacceptable.
As a result of this, we’ve both now caught a cold. This experience was far below any reasonable standard of accommodation, especially for a property advertised as having heating and hot water.
The complete lack of communication made the situation even worse. This issue should have been treated as urgent, instead we were ignored then sent automated emails asking us how we are enjoying our stay and to leave a review…
I would not recommend staying here. If I could give 0 stars I would.
