Never, ever, ever again will we use this company, based on our experience at Cork Airport. We were picked up by a nice Ukrainian chap from Easirent, from the terminal, and driven to their office, which was quite a bit further away from the other, regular, rental companies. On arrival, we were met by a Scottish guy who, from the outset, was uncooperative, unhelpful, attempted to bully us, and the other young couple who were there, into buying extra insurance, without any explanation, just the repeated raised voiced statement, 'I'm telling you, there's no insurance on that car.' After checking e-mails, both ourselves and the young couple found confirmation that our hire car insurance was in place beforehand. He even then claimed we needed more and demanded our credit cards. I don't know if this older Scottish man was on commission, had mental health issues, or was getting off on bullying customers, but he was easily the most unprofessional representative for the company you could imagine. Even the nice guy who picked us up, changed in his presence. The Scot was domineering, incorrect and never explained anything he was raising his voice about. I'm checking my bank statement daily to ensure there is no theft involved, as that was the impression he gave us, and the other young couple, it transpired. Stay safe and avoid using these people at Cork Airport. I can't speak for other locations.

Young man picked us up at the airport, he was very pleasant, made conversation and couldn’t help enough when we arrived and returned the vehicle.

This I couldn’t say about the Scotsman that booked us in. Never looked at us, demanded documentation and tried to sell the excess insurance and even tried to state that the excess booked via another party wouldn’t be covered by them, unless I didn’t know about insurance then I would have been in doubt and bought the insurance he was offering.
Of course it wouldn’t be covered by Easirent but it was STILL cover and I had to emphasise that I was a retired Financial Advisor and knew what cover I had in place.
NOT A PEOPLE’ S PERSON.
Beautiful car, economic, comfortable and spacious.
The down side was it was NOT as clean as I would expect.
I had kids eat crisps on the Friday and decided to hoover the car out on the Saturday only to find sickness that had NOT been cleaned down the side of the front hand rest and in the footwell in the back of the drivers seat. It was obviously there for a while as there was no smell thankfully.

Would I book with this company again, possibly due to the good points but possibly not taking into consideration the cost and the downsides as stated.

Rented (€79), a car for a week: which was great value. Didn’t realise that it didn’t cover the island of Ireland. So I was fined €100 as I hadn’t told them! So not great value at all. There was no tax disc on the car (which is illegal), and upon the driver. The Cork based employee incorrectly argued that it was their problem not mine. However it’s up to the driver to check the car is roadworthy, taxed and insured.
Never again!!!

I would not go near this company. The let me down with hours notice. I was moving house and had van booked for weeks. The day before they rang me multiple times changing the time I could collect and then hours before I was due to collect cancelled. Staff so rude and unhelful. Cost me money as I could not move and had to pay the landlord an extra weeks rent until I got sorted with Hertz who were brilliant.

Very bad experience. Unfriendly staff at Cork airport. Then car broke down with fuel leak. Rental company told us it is none of their business once customer leaves parking lot (!). Finally had to cave in when damage was confirmed and car was picked up by tow truck. Could not deliver a replacement car so our family was stranded in the middle of Ireland without a car. Would stay away from this company to save a buck and rather go with larger int'l companies.

We had a really disappointing experience with Easy Rent near Cork Airport. We arrived just 30 minutes later than planned, straight from the airport, only to be told that our car had already been given away, full stop. When we got to their office, their system was down and staff were on the phone trying to resolve it, making them effectively uncontactable. They had actually rented our car out to someone else, meaning they effectively got paid twice—once from us and again from the new customers—which felt incredibly greedy and like a total cash grab. We are a young family with a baby and a young child, and finding ourselves stranded like that after a flight was extremely stressful. To make matters worse, there were no other cars available for hire at all.

What really stood out was the attitude of the staff member, who was apathetic and indifferent, showing no interest in helping us or acknowledging our situation. We’re extremely disappointed in the customer care provided—it felt like a greedy, transactional operation rather than a service that actually cares about its customers, and they seemed more than happy to hide behind their terms and conditions when it clearly feels like their business model profits from late collections.

Absolutely deplorable. Car booked for 9am. Arrived at airport at 0915. Phoned them to come and pick me up as office is outside airport perminter ( 25 min walk ) No answer. No answer to several calls. Called for 45 minutes for shuttle. Changed to other company and requested a refund. Staff member name beginning with B then went for his breakfast and was otherwise busy. He decided not to wait for a CUSTOMER who paid in full as the CUSTOMER was 15 minutes a pass pick up time. Looking at other reviews confirm poorly run operation - zero oversight. stay clear. Horrific

Easy experience, straight forward. Just need to factor in time to collect the car off site from the airport.

Victor is very patient, courteous and helpful. Car beautiful and clean. Enjoyed driving it. Would definitely recommend. A+ SERVICE

I hired this car through the HolidayCars.com website who arranged for Easirent in Cork to provide the car to me. I paid HolidayCars for Full Protection insurance on this hire car and was provided with a certificate by RentalCover.com

On arrival in Cork I showed the paperwork to Easirent but they would not accept this cover and insisted I either left a deposit of €2,900 or paid €98 for their own insurance for a 2-day hire.

My flight had been cancelled, I was late for a wedding and they just made everything far worse.

So after an extended protest I paid the €98 but they did not provide a receipt or any paperwork for their cover - they said they'd have it for me when I returned the car. In fact they only sent both the receipt and insurance document to me by email after I'd flown back to the UK. So when I was driving their car I had no proof of their insurance or emergency numbers etc with me.

Their whole manner was abrupt, unpleasant and controlling.

It was a horrible, ugly, stressful experience and I am now making a complaint to HolidayCars.com

Went to rent a car. I planned on leaving a deposit as I did not want to pay for their insurance. However, I was told the deposit - €2900 would not be refunded to me for 28 days after I had returned the car. Why? So, that I would be more inclined to take their insurance and therefore not have to leave a deposit. I went elsewhere and I advise you do the same.

Also, be aware, they advertise the likes of Ford Puma and Focus models (or similar) on their website. The yard was full of Dacia Spring cars and old Fiat pandas. If you are unfortunate enough to rent a car they will give you the cheapest of the cheap cars!

Walking / public transport is better than this company!

Shocking experience! Customer Service was as bad as it gets. Had to wait upon arrival for the van because "it needed a clean" after quick inspection. The man in the Cork location had the worst customer service skills I have ever witnessed. The van had damage all over it, and one of the two back doors didn't even work so it made life difficult for me when using! Shocking experience, would never rent off Easirent ever again.

Wir mussten ein Taxi zum Vermieter nehmen, da er uns nicht abholen kam. Dann nötigte er uns unter fadenscheinigen Gründen eine Zusatzversicherung auf.

"Ungewöhnliche" Bezahlpraxis, Nachforderung ohne den Grund zu belegen.

I experienced very poor treatment from the staff at the Cork branch.
I called to inform them that I would return my car a few hours later than agreed. When I asked why I was being quoted a different price than the one originally offered at rental, the staff member became defensive. After I pointed this out, he agreed to honour the original price.

However, he then began speaking to me rudely, saying he “doesn’t know the future” when I asked about the timing of the lift to the airport. I also requested an email confirmation of the agreed price and my later return time. More than six hours have passed and I have received no response.

Quick collection and drop off. All the upgrades and changes all sorted before we arrived. The full Insurance was sorted hence no Deposit to pay

About 10 minutes and we were on the road, Just like old times , no hassle

La entrega del vehículo fue correcta, aunque estaba muy golpeado y con muchos kilómetros.
La devolución nefasta, espere mas de 20 minutos a que alguien fuera a recepcionarlo y se presentó una persona de aspecto hindú que nos amenaza con cobrarnos por la suciedad del interior del vehículo, solo abrio la puerta trasera y la cerró, importante decir que solo viajábamos dos personas. . Nos han efectuado un cargo, no sutorizado, de 96€ ; el vehículo no estaba sucio, es totalmente falso que lo estuviera.
Pedi hacer fotos y como respuesta cerró el vehículo y se fue. No pude hacer las fotos y me tuve que ir al aeropuerto por mis propios medios.
Y encima aun no me han devuelto la fianza.
Impresentables desde cualquier punto de vista.
Ojalá hubiera visto las reseñas que tienen antes.

Complete disaster of a company. Would not recommend to anyone. 1st it was hard to find. Turns out, its in the back of storage like buildings in a old house. 2nd, did not give me a car anywhere near what I had asked for, just what was available. 3rd and most importantly they left me go with one page documentation which had details of a different car so insurance was even
questionable even tho I paid around 150 euro for insurance. No policy number for this. No number to call just the office manned by someone who acted like a fool 40% of the time and like you're a wasted of his time the other 60%.

Great service stafss are very good and cars are new and free upgrade always
