CarJet.com and Easirent.com WARNING !! Never Again !! are part of the same company .
I rented a car from CarJet.com for collection on from Birmingham Airport at 12.30 .
The flight was delayed by 3.5 hrs from Dublin and therefore I was unable to get to Birmingham on time.
I rang Easirent.com when I arrived at Birmingham ( as instructed ) and it took them 50 mins to arrive and was then asked to go to their depot to collect the car.
I ( and my family ) proceeded to collect the car from Easirent.com Birmingham and I was told by Easirent.com representative , `` You are over 2 hours late and the car has been given to another customer``
I asked , ``was this stipulation on the Terms & Conditions``, and got no reply!.
I requested another car therefore and I was told, `` The money you paid for the Car Hire is non refundable as you are over 2 hours late collecting it , so therefore you can book another car but you must pay for it again `` , which I refused!
I rang Head Office of CarJet.com and was told the same. `` Sorry but should you want another car you must pay for it again``
I had 4 family members with me and all the luggage and had no alternative but to get a taxi from Easirent Depot to my hotel .
I have checked the Booking with CarJet and can not see any reference to being late collecting the car.

Dont waste your time or money with this company. Used to be called Easirent, changed to Dravalia! They lie about their stock, my partner Mrs Nemeth ordered a Ford Focus but when we turned up to collect it it was a Citroen 500!!!! The woman behind the desk was so rude, she had a attitude with every customer who walked in. Basically you will need to hire Anneka Rice to find the place and then you are met with a very rude woman. She argued that a Ford focus was the same size as a C500 and then we cancelled the hire because I'am 6 foot 5 in tall and could not fit in a C500, although we paid upfront, we cant get our money back. The company is connected to Dravalia, basically call India and get nowhere. They owe us £600 pounds for a hire we never had and wont give it back. In the UK you are free under consumer protection to cancel any service at any time and get a full refund. Easirent / Dravalia are not a UK company and basically you get Spain or India trying to explain the T&C's.
Buy cheap buy twice! just go to Hertz, Europcar, Sixt, Avis. At least you know what you are getting. Avoid anything with Dravalia on it!

Booked through Enjoy travel .com link. Easirent held £1500 on my credit card, and claim it takes 10 days to go into bank, blaming the bank process, totally untrue, my bank are awaiting the release of the money, especially in today's economic climate. Need to be taken to task.

Easirent play the "Bait & Switch". One price is promised when you book, but you are asked to pay for extras when you go to collect. Personally - I cannot thank them enough - I bought a car for less money than they wanted for 10 days rental, and I'm now saving money on car hire everytime I visit the UK.

After paying £250 for a booking, they wouldn't release the car unless I paid a further £625 for "collision waiver protection" claiming I'd used an American website (Expedia) which doesn't come with insurance as standard. They then refused to release the car or refund the money. Avoid at all costs
What does company do with your deposit?
Hired vehicle just after Christmas from Birmingham store. Only one over worked (but very helpful) assistant in store to help multiple customers many of whom waited for over an hour to get their car.
The quality of our car was good and the price of rental was cheap however the deposit you are forced to pay is egregious and the length of time it is held is borderline illegal. I am still waiting now, nearly 1 month later for the deposit to be returned despite there being no issues with the car on return. Customer service has said the deposit was “released” however it is still held by them on my credit card statement.
This company effectively operates as a bank, taking large deposits and holding them for an eternity and no doubt making money on the interest or even loaning customers’ money elsewhere.
This company has shady unexplained practices and needs to be investigated by the FSA.
Beware of scams and false advertising
Beware of scams and false advertising! For a reservation confirmed on the website at less than £75, which was good value for money at the start, I found myself when picking up the car having to pay more than £200.
In the end I could only take the car if I agree to buy all the insurance (theft damage protection, etc.).
I had already refused these insurances when booking on the internet because I was already insured with my bank card!
But the person at the reception did not want to know anything and I had no choice.
Unfortunately I must not be the only customer to fall into the trap.

Attention arnaque et Publicité mensongère ! Pour une réservation confirmée sur le site à moins de 75£, ce qui était un bon rapport qualité prix au départ, je me suis retrouvé lors de la prise de la voiture à devoir payer plus de 200£
Le vendeur à l’accueil m’a dit que finalement je ne pouvais prendre la voiture que si je payais toutes les assurances (protection vol dommages…).
J’avais déjà refusé ces assurances lors de la vente sur internet car j’étais déjà assuré avec ma carte bancaire ! Mais la personne a l’accueil n’a rien voulu savoir et je n’ai pas eu le choix.
Malheureusement je ne dois pas être le seul client à tomber dans le panneau.

*pick up took 20 min then had a 40min wait just to fill out paperwork. Poor girl on the front was lovely and did her best to help but was not being properly supported.
*Was not clear on website or email that the credit card was mandatory(multiple other people there were in the same boat)
*Had a look and there are a very many different hyperlinks for what you need and what to bring etc. Information I need was scattered between the confirmation emails, the website links and the people that serve you. This only serves to confuse which it did and makes it hard to separate easirent from the cowboy car rentals. Makes it hard to trust.
*Was told I had to bring it back between 1/4 and 1/2 full then got to desk on the day and they Said it has to be level to level. Again the inconsistency does not make any of this easier.
To be fair, from a business stand point, it makes sense to not want people to bring what they need because then they can sell their own insurance.(This is probably not the case, but speculation happens when the info given isn't clear and concise)

A pack of Theives. It would seem I was lucky to actually receive a car, but had to pay an extra 525 pounds insurance for a car I believed was fully covered. I booked through carjet who are a “broker” based in Spain. I had no idea that they weren’t the actual rental company. If I hadn’t coughed up the extra I would have just lost the 500 pound I originally paid. I did ring the Spain number but they were beyond giving a damn. The car I was provided was filthy as it was minus 7 that morning and they couldn’t clean the car. However, they had marked the car as no faults but it did have a small dent and scratch. They tried to have me for this on its return until they realised I had took their extra cover and then they changed their confronting con men attitude. Book from a reputable firm. Bypass these tossers.
£249 charge for non existent damage
Having been an Easirent.com customer for many years and, having previously been satisfied with the vehicle and the level of service provided, I again booked with Easirent - however this time not directly but via the Jet2carhire.com website.
The car provided by Easirent was in good condition and clean, but with the minor scuffs and imperfections normal with rental cars.
All defects were marked on the rental form (including several not originally on the form that I asked to be recorded) and the car was returned one week later - on time, with a full tank of petrol, with mileage well within the rental allowance - and in exactly the same condition as when I collected it from the depot.
The Easirent employee who received the car and checked it, confirmed that there was no damage to the car during the rental period and signed the rental agreement to confirm this.
The following day a charge of £249 from Easirent appeared on my credit card and, after two and a half months, Easirent (having in the meantime closed my complaint on their complaints system) have finally informed Jet2carhire.com that the charge was for damage to a wing reflector (whatever that is).
However, Easirent have been unable to provide either photographic evidence of the 'invented' damage or an invoice for its repair.
Based on my latest experience of hiring with Easirent - and having been subjected to a charge of £249 for non existent damage - I could not in good faith recomend Easirent to anyone and shall not in future be using Easirent again myself.
A reckless shambles of a car hire firm
EasiRent (now Drivalia) and who knows tomorrow's name. Given its financial position I don't foresee much of a future. After 30 years of hiring cars in many countries, this firm stands out for being the worst of the worse.

This is the car rental company you need!
This car hire company is the place to go for 5 star service and vehicles. We were a bit concerned when the brand changed from Easirent to Drivalia, but reassuringly, the staff have stayed. Miller is just lovely and helpful. Zara is an absolute machine! She is always there when we pick up and drop off our vehicle - including New Year's Eve. She does the work of 2 staff for sure, whilst maintaining a super cheerful and professional attitude. Whenever we fly in from Guernsey, we always book with this company. No competition.
Price was right
Price was right. Easy pick up. Nice car. I'm still renting the car with no problems. I would definitely recommend Easirent

This company has a cavalier approach to customer service - and worst doesn't recognise a life threatening situation.

I've used this firm for several years. I have found that if you follow their requirements then the experience is good. It is even better now that you can upload your documentation ahead of collection (processing is then so much quicker). Today I had a fast transfer from Birmingham terminal, friendly driver, excellent check-in person and a helpful technician who did a very thorough car damage check before releasing the vehicle to me.

Failed to give us a van despite booking it a week in advance. Failed to inform us beforehand that the vehicle is not available. Very bad experience. Wasted our time.
No vans available after prior rental confirmation of booking
Was called day before by the company saying they had no vans available and cancelled my booking!
