The engineer
The engineer, Michael Lawson, was brilliant. He arrived promptly and was able to isolate what he felt the problem was. He was happy to talk both my husband and myself through the issue, so that we understood what had happened. In order for us not to be without heating or hot water, he went out of his way to source a part he needed locally and fitted it during the same visit. He was courteous and considerate. We are very grateful for his assistance in sorting out our emergency.

The plumbing leak through the ceiling
The plumbing leak was a potential nightmare that had a difficult access challenges. Nonetheless the engineer, José De Sousa, did a fantastic job in accessing the issue and successfully completing the job with no mess or fuss. The issue was resolved and I was very pleased and would recommend José and Dyno for their quality of work and approach.

Dyno Rod has provided a good service
Dyno Rod has provided a good service. Cold water tank and holding platform was replaced in the loft.
Barry the plumbing engineer has done a very good job. He has replaced everything securely and safely. He took photos and shared them.
Dyno requested payment in full before the work. But their terms and condition says that domestic customers to pay when the work is completed. Terms snd conditions need updating.
The old plastic tank was left behind in the loft. It is important to recycle the old materials properly to help the environmental Issues. Helpful to include this service, Thank you

We at Met Serve Ltd do take prepayment, and have done for many years, as our bad debt situation was getting untenable. The policy you speak of is that of our franchisor and payments they manage. We have a rapidly developing ESG policy and have already taken considerable steps in this space, inlcuding investing more so in reneweable energy, electric vans and waste management. A good company shows its quality in how it handles things when they don’t go smoothly, and I want to recognise this.
Michael, the engineer, carried out a detailed and forensic investigation into a very unusual leak coming through my kitchen ceiling. After removing part of the ceiling and checking all pipework, no water was found, which made the issue even more puzzling. Eventually, a small patch of water appeared around the toilet pan, which he repaired. I’ll continue to monitor it, and I’m now waiting for the quote to repair the ceiling.
I’d also like to thank Samantha, the Operations Manager, who resolved a complication around asbestos testing before any ceiling removal could take place. As a non–BG customer, the process was not straightforward, and her intervention ensured everything moved forward correctly. It’s an area that could benefit from review for future cases to ensure customers are not chasing.
