Dsign Softech loses data and abuses customers
They lost all their customers data, called me horrific names and then lied to Paypal.
UPDATE Dsign Softech responded to this message and then flagged it with Trustpilot as harmful to try to get it removed. Dsign said the incident where they lost ALL their customer data was isolated while I can't confirm that, its important to noteLOST ALL THEIR CUSTOMER DATA AND DIDNT BACK IT UP. They also claimed Ecwid and Paypal sided with them. This is also false. I received all of my money back plus Ecwid provided additional months of my plan for the loss of data and awful experience. Dsign said the harassment and price changing is unfounded, I have proof. All of it. This response solidifies my initial review, by responding with false information and flagging my review, they are still up to unprofessional behavior and that should be all you need to decide not to do business with them.
Dsign Softech does not back up data, loses data, falsifies documents, harasses and abuses customers, violates pricing and data laws, and falsely advertises prices so it can take more funds than advertised.
Dsign Softech is a software app company that offers apps like sellonboard and others with various website platforms. It is advertised publicly as owned by Akash Garg who also touts being a chartered accountant in India.
Dsign Softech advertised a "Block Orders" app on Ecwid to block fake or harmful orders on your site.
On September 14 2023, they lost all my data collected over the years, --in fact, they lost all their customer data. This loss was unrecoverable. They stated they didn’t back up their data, and that it was Amazon’s fault (this was false.) Then, after I complained, they harassed me, falsified documents, sent abusive emails and ultimately, retaliated for my leaving reviews, but I'll start from the beginning which led me to discovering this app may not even be doing anything with the data you input, and taking money it is not entitled to.
In 2021, I purchased Block Orders by Dsign Softech. The app is very basic. You enter data such as email, IP address and/or phone number and countries that you don’t want to access your site or have the ability to purchase. You do not have a way to export this data. There is no way to validate the app is working. In fact, in December 2022, I found the app wasn’t working at all and when I asked why, Dsign Softech ignored me for a month.
They never did.
When renewing this year, I noticed the annual cost of Block Orders was advertised in Indian Rupees of 2400. I had to go to Google to find a converter because they did not convert to USD on the ecwid storefront I purchased through. During checkout they confirm the total ($28) but then had paypal take $40. I emailed asking why and Dsign said it wasn’t their fault. This was false.
On September 15 2023 I noticed that all of my data collected over the last two years was completely gone. Every IP, every email, every phone number, everything. Dsign admitted they lost all data and blamed Amazon. This was false.
I believe based on this, that Dsign Softech was never doing anything with the data and never providing any service.
I expressed my disappointment and as a result, Akash Garg, owner of Dsign, called me names like “rotten” “Incompetent” “negligent” “bad” “ignorant” and told me he didn’t want me to use his apps and he was disabling my access and refunding my money.
Then I left a review.
He then said he was keeping my money in retaliation, even though he hadn’t even provided a service yet—because my renewal date was technically supposed to start on Sept 15, the day of data loss.
So I brought up that he falsified the price of the app. So Akash Garg of Dsign Softech modified his website to conceal the false advertisement of the price. I’d already recorded proof.
He submitted that evidence to Ecwid and when I submitted proof, he had to admit, and he did. He falsified documents. And I caught him.
I sent all the correspondence to Ecwid and asked Dsign Softech to stop contacting me.
He continued to send abusive email after email after email after email.
I begged Ecwid to stop him from harassing and abusing me.
Then, I filed a dispute with Paypal because he was holding my money hostage.
Paypal reached out, and Akash Garg of Dsign Softech then falsified documents showing that I was an ‘active user’ but I wasn’t. he disabled my access and provided false statements during a legal dispute to try to keep my funds, illegally.
In the end, I won the dispute after two appeals because he kept falsifying documents and providing false statements.
I am unsure Dsign ever truly provided a service they falsely advertised and then lost data from. I am certain the company is falsifying records and abusive.
If you are considering Dsign Softech and any of its apps, I would reconsider placing your data and trust with a company like this.
