It helped that our entire Bhutan experience was facilitated by knowledgeable locals. Pre-trip, we were advised by Ugyen and Sangay who prepared us well for the treks, and various experiences there. During the trip, we were met with an awesome guide (Sonam) as well as driver (Kinga). Service was excellent, location was breathtakingly beautiful, people were warm and sincere. We liked that our experiences and itinerary were customised and personalised - meeting both my elderly mum and my own needs for adventure.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience in Bhutan, thanks to our exceptional guide (Taishi) and driver (Kin-ga). From the moment we arrived until the end of our trip, they took excellent care of us and ensured that everything ran smoothly.

We loved the tour with DrukAsia. Our guides Tshering Dorji and driver Sigay were truly caring and supportive. We forged good memories during the 8-day trip as we visited Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Punakha, Phobjikha, and Paro.

The hotel stays were beautiful and comfortable. One minor feedback was that the hotels did not have baby plates. They were kids friendly but something for hotels to consider having in the future.

I booked a 5-day tour through Druk Asia and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The whole process was easy and well communicated. They were responsive in the lead-up, the airport pickup was seamless, and every hotel was ready and waiting when I arrived. I stayed in 3-star accommodations throughout and they were consistently comfortable and clean. Nothing about the logistics gave me a moment of worry, which is exactly what you want when traveling somewhere as remote as Bhutan.

For anyone trying to picture what is realistically doable in this timeframe, here is how my days actually went. It was effectively four full days, since the fifth was just a transfer to the airport. Day one was arrival in Paro and the drive to Thimphu, where I saw the giant Buddha Dordenma, the National Memorial Chorten, the takin preserve (home to Bhutan's quirky national animal), and Tashichho Dzong. Day two was a day trip out to Punakha, stopping at the beautiful Dochula Pass with its 108 chortens, then the magnificent Punakha Dzong and the long suspension bridge over the river. Day three was the Paro Tshechu festival, and day four was the hike up to Tiger's Nest. A comfortable, well-paced amount to cover without ever feeling rushed.

The festival was a wonderful coincidence of timing. I got to join in the celebrations, watch the masked dances, and witness the unfurling of the giant Thongdrel at dawn, which was genuinely incredible. If your dates happen to line up with a tshechu, it is a special bonus, though the trip stands on its own regardless.

Tiger's Nest deserves its reputation. It is a real climb, but every bit as rewarding as people say. Afterward I tried the traditional hot stone bath as an optional add-on, which was a perfect way to relax tired muscles and well worth the extra cost. At one point my driver also taught me how to shoot archery, the national sport of Bhutan, which was a fun and unexpected highlight.

That brings me to the two people who really made this trip. My guide Sonam was knowledgeable, warm, and endlessly patient. He stuck with me the entire way up and down Tiger's Nest and took countless photos so I would actually have memories of myself there, not just the scenery. My driver Lhakpa was friendly and great company throughout, got me everywhere safely across some long mountain roads, and was the one who taught me archery. Together they turned a well-run itinerary into something genuinely personal and memorable.

I travelled to Bhutan for the first time with DrukAsia, and it was one of the most memorable trips I have ever taken.

Bhutan is a very special place. It is peaceful, beautiful, and full of meaning. From the mountains and monasteries to the people I met along the way, everything felt genuine and deeply human.

DrukAsia made the whole experience very easy and well organised. Before the trip, communication was clear and helpful. Once in Bhutan, everything ran smoothly, from the guide and driver to the hotels, visits and daily schedule. I never felt rushed, but I always felt well looked after.

What I appreciated most was that the trip did not feel like a standard package holiday. It felt personal, thoughtful and respectful of the country. That matters a lot in a place like Bhutan.

I enjoyed my first visit so much that I am already planning to return this year. For me, that says more than any long review could.

Our family enjoyed the trip very much! Sonam, our guide from Soultrip was very knowledgeable and able to answer our family’s wide ranging questions about Bhutan. He was also patient and detailed in looking after our needs. While TP, our driver drove carefully and steadily. We didn’t have any issues with the long meandering drives despite being worried about motion sickness on the higher altitudes initially. We appreciated their efforts, without which we wouldn’t be able to enjoy our trip this much!

We had a most enjoyable experience. The guide and driver were extremely attentive to our suggestions and feedback. They were observant, proactive and adaptable to our needs. The locals we met throughout the trip were very hospitable and generous towards us and we felt completely at home.

mazing 9-day trip to Bhutan as a solo traveller. Not going to Bhutan as part of a big group but on my own and therefore putting more budget for the trip was absolutely the right choice for me. My guide (female) and driver (male) were amazing and some of my favorite moments were our times together eating and drinking. I loved learning more about the Bhutanese culture, history and Buddhism every single day. It's those kind of trips that you wish never has to stop! Druk Asia was also wonderful in helping be book and organize my trip and it was very smooth! I hope to come again soon!

What an extraordinary trip we've just been on. Bhutan is simply unique, with a culture unsurpassed by anything that we have ever come across before. Chencho has been a guide in Bhutan for over 15 years and her knowledge and passion for her country shone through, thanks to her wonderful personality, sense of humour, and boundless energy. Everywhere we went she knew someone and it just made the whole adventure that much more meaningful and personal.

but it surpassed even our wildest expectations. Thank you to all who helped make it so special.

We enjoyed our trip as we had a very knowledgeable, helpful, cheerful and accommodative tour guide. We would give him a 5 star rating. However the overall rating is pulled down by the poorly structured itinerary.

We only realised most of the activities in day 5 and day 6 are duplicated when we were in Bhutan. We were misled to think that the activities were different due to different titles of the same hike were used in day 5 and day 6. So we actually wasted 1 day not doing much. This kind of mistake should have been avoided.

As we didn’t want to go to central of Bhutan and have requested to cut down visit to temples, we should be recommended a 7 or 8 days itinerary instead of a 10 days itinerary. This will make the journey more enjoyable for the customers.

Highly responsive to all inquiries and matched our desires with the right guide - we needed a guide with a lot of energy and good health that would keep the right pace for us on the Bumdra Trek and not overwhelm us with too much information at sites. We received very good service.

I was impressed by the sincerity, warmth and breadth of knowledge of my guide and the excellent skills and patience of my driver. Due to their encouragement and support, I was able to reach Tiger's Nest Monastery despite poor fitness and a bad knee. Also, DrukAsia always responded quickly to my questions, and the arrangements for my stay in Bhutan were faultless.

The agents responded very quickly to our enquiries and proposed hotels and itineraries which were tailored very much to our interest. Our family had a great time the guide and driver were very experienced and made the trip most memorable.
