Tony was a true gent! Made the process quick and enjoyable and even gave me a lift to the airport!

Rip off, beware of hidden charges. They charged me an extra £30 per day because my credit card was not embossed. Banks rarely send embossed cards now.

Absolutely shocking service booked a car 3 weeks in advance for holiday all booking confirmed arrived to collect car was told the car wasn’t there and they were trying to find the car or a different one I booked a premium model was told sorry we phone you if one turns up disgusting service staff at branch no clue customer service over phone no help just passing the problem back to the branch don’t hire from these completely mess my holiday plans up never again

I booked a car from Drivalia through a broker, I received the necessary documents via email.
When I arrived at the office to collect the car I was told there was no car available.
I was then told 'this always happens with brokers'. I asked if there was another car available & was told 'no, not until Thursday (25/07). I was not able to wait until then.

Firstly, I did not realise I was booking through a broker when I booked the car having never needed a hire car before.

Secondly, only when I received the paperwork did it tell me they expected a £1,500 deposit - this is a ridiculous amount of money to expect an average person to pay.

Thirdly, at no point did the broker or Drivalia let me know that there was not a car available for me.

Fourthly, I had to take a days emergency leave as I was meant to collect the car and go straight to work, instead I needed to try to arrange another car with another company.

Fifthly, When I tried to cancel the car hire and have my money refunded, I received an auto-message to say if I wanted a refund I needed to cancel before the collection time.

Sixthly, I have sent 2x messages to the broker via their complaint portal and have auto-message but no actual response.

I am so annoyed that I am currently out of pocket by £165 and a days annual leave, as well as a few additional grey hairs for good measure.

On a final note the bloke at the office was gruff and the woman at the office, little to no help, aside from telling me 'this always happens with broker bookings', as if that is ok. She did allow me to sit and try & book another but whilst I was there there was another lady who was supposed to collect a vehicle on 20/07 but was given the run around, losing 3x days of her holiday, just as she made the payment, she was told the tyre had thrown a fault so was then left sat waiting for that to me organised.
Another lady came in and whilst she had made an error in her booking was offered a vehicle the following morning (23/07), I was astounded as I had been told nothing was available until Thursday (24/07).

My whole experience with Drivalia has been awful.

We had swift experience with the car hire. Peter was friendly and gave a comprehensive explanation to ease the process. Overall good and recommended

I've been using Drivalia for the past year or so from Edinburgh to Liverpool. I can't fault anything - the staff are professional and friendly, the cars clean and well serviced. Easy handover and drop-off. Perfect service and cheap.

I have rented vehicles from initially easirent and now Drivalia for approx 8 years now and I have never had any issues. Very prompt pick ups and the staff make the process easy and friendly. They certainly offer the best rates!! Thankyou

Ive rented many times from Drivalia, Liverpool John Lennon Airport. All my experiences have been very positive and I would highly recommend. Peter has dealt with the majority of my bookings and every time, he has been very obliging and helpful. Great price too!

Being a relatively new and small hire company, I was sceptical and wasn’t sure what to expect. I initially chose Drivalia because they are the only company at Liverpool airport who let you collect a car up to midnight. All other companies close at 6pm. We had a brilliant service from Gareth who processed our hire and Tony who sorted the return for us. Both were very helpful and made the whole process quick and very efficient. I would absolutely use Drivalia again and would recommend them to anyone wishing to hire a car at Liverpool airport. Competitive prices, great cars and excellent service. What more could you ask for? Well done Gareth and Tony.

Worst van hire ever, I have been hiring vans on and off for 40 years. My first experience with this company was positive,this time however I hired a Luton tail lift which I collected the keys on a Saturday and the van was left outside the compound for me to collect that evening. I hadn't gone 2 miles when the orange warning triangle came on. I carried on to my store, about 8 miles applied the hand break so I could jump out and open the gates and the van rolled away! I thought I would get one load and head back. Tried to use the tail lift and the offside wouldn't come down unless you jump on it, button on nearside, I am on my own!. Decided to abandon what I needed to do returned van next morning although it was on a 2 day hire and the branch manager was less than help full and offers me a two day hire with a discount. Refund refused

Couldn't be more happier with the van and service provided by everyone 2nd to none, everything wasn't to much trouble. Highly recommend this company, thanks from all of Balance care from making our holiday special Darren, Tony and Paul cheers guys

SCAM - rented a car from this company in March 2024, this is now May 9th, 2024, and they have saved my card details and billed me without my consent for an offence that wasn't me, complete fraud.

delete my card details and you will not get another penny from me!!

So easy to make the booking and then extend.

The whole process was easy and super quick!

I would never ever use or recommend drivalia to anybody, ì rented a car from them last November and because I didn't have £1500 security deposit on my bank card I had to pay £200 extra to rent the car that I had already paid for when I booked it, we were left waiting to be picked up at the car park for an hour and a half in strong wind and rain. Today, the 3rd of May I get a notification from my revolut card that my account was frozen as drivalia tried taking £114 from my card. Almost 7 months later!!!. I meant to leave a review in November but as the days went by I let it go, but today really really disgusted me and I just had to leave this review and I hope it will help others to make a better, safer and cheaper decision in time. I really don't believe the 5 star reviews and it's funny how it's all 5 star and 1 star, no 2,3 or 4 stars in the reviews.

A Seamless Experience with Drivalia!

I recently had the pleasure of renting a car from Drivalia (Vauxhall Road,Liverpool) for a week while my own car was having work done to it, and I must say, it was an experience worth rating!

From the moment I booked online, the process was smooth and hassle-free. The website was intuitive, making it easy to find the perfect vehicle for my needs. The range of cars available was impressive, catering to various preferences and budgets.

Upon arrival at the rental location, I was greeted warmly by the staff, who were not only professional but also genuinely friendly. The paperwork was handled efficiently, and before I knew it, I was handed the keys to a clean, well-maintained car.

The vehicle itself exceeded my expectations. It was spotless both inside and out. I felt safe and comfortable throughout my journey, thanks to the excellent condition of the car.

One of the highlights of my experience was the customer service. The staff at Drivalia, went above and beyond to ensure my satisfaction. They were readily available to answer any questions.

Returning the car was just as seamless as picking it up. The process was quick, and the staff (Dan) once again demonstrated their professionalism and courtesy.

Overall, I cannot recommend Drivalia highly enough. From the user-friendly booking process to the exceptional customer service and great vehicles, they exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're in need of a reliable car rental service, look no further than Drivalia. I know I'll certainly be using them if required in the future.

Booked to pick car up this morning as we had previously used this company and had excellent customer service from kinza who was not there today, unfortunately today we were unable to even leave with a car as the car was booked in my wife’s name but I wanted to use my credit card for the deposit but this was refused even though this is exactly what we did last time with no extra cost and no problem.
