Terrible rental company
Terrible rental company, avoid, as they are trying to offer low rate, but will charge you extra if late by 1 hr at £50 per day, claiming this no show fee, even if flight delayed. Then make you pay additional cost for an automatic car saying they no longer have the car you originally booked. Fuel is not full-to-full so again make you add more fuel than needed. Insurance with £1500 excess requires a credit card, otherwise debit card per permitted to pay £38.99 per day insurance. Help centre for EasyJet no help at all. Front desk team
At Glasgow airport branch unfriendly and seem very disinterested in the customer.

Vehicle Hold: We can only hold a specific booked vehicle for a maximum of 1 hour past the booked collection time. After this point, clients may be offered an alternative vehicle category (subject to availability), and charges may apply.
Failure to Collect: Customers who fail to arrive on the day of collection are marked as a ‘No Show’ and charged up to 3 days rental. Please note that prepaid bookings are non-refundable.

My booking was through EasyJet
My booking was through EasyJet, due to my flight delay, I was unable to arrive within the hour of my booking. I was mandated to pay an extra £180 for an automatic car. Rental assistant kept stating the T&C even though I could prove my flight was delayed. Exasperating. Do not use this company and EasyJet were unhelpful too, kept waiting on the phone for 45mins trying to resolve. Avoid car rental with Drivalia and EasyJet.

Do not use, Illegal hire car.
We hired a car on the 1st to the 3rd July, from the Glasgow Airport branch, everything seemed fine until we drove out. Within 20 minutes it started raining and we turned the windscreen wipers on, only to find out that the actual rubber blades were worn so far down the metal clips were on the screen, we pulled off the motorway on to the slip road and we called the office. They advised us to “pop to Halfords” and get the windscreen wipers replaced, keeping the receipt and bring it back to them where they would reimburse us. We did this, driving out of our way to get to the nearest branch, the manager at the Halfords was amazed that this was a hire car and they had let this out like this, he said if the police had pulled us over we would have received a fine and points, it’s now been over five weeks and we still haven’t had the reimbursed monies, trying to get hold of anyone in customer services is impossible, disconnected numbers from the web site, finally spoke to someone and it’s not their department so they transfer you to another number which ends up being a recorded massage. Absolute joke, basically hired us a car that was illegal to drive, told us to sort it out and then we can’t get reimbursed for the money we spent at Halfords, nearly 6 weeks later, nothing !! My advice would be don’t use this company!!!

Overall very good
Overall very good. A bit of a wait at the airport for collection to the off site depot, but it was a very busy time.
The rest of the process was excellent.
The car itself was great - better than we thought it was going to be.
The drop off and check at the end was easy and efficient.

Classic fine print scam
They are running a classic fine print scam. They only accept credit cards that are chip and pin, not chip and signature and this is not explicitly stated but rather briefly mentioned. If you don't have the very specific credit card, they force to you buy a nonrefundable coverage package that is basically equal to the price of the rental. Do not use this company

To ensure a smooth rental process, we provide information regarding our payment and deposit policies at the time of booking and on the confirmation voucher. For clarity, our standard requirements are as follows:
• Security Deposits: We require a pre-authorisation deposit on a credit card in the name of the main driver (starting from £1500).
• Debit Card Use: We do accept debit cards; however, this requires the purchase of an excess waiver package to reduce the excess to zero. UK residents using a debit card must also pass a credit check or provide proof of employment.
• Payment Security: All deposits must be made with a physical card with at least 2 months' validity. We cannot accept virtual cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or cards without visible numbers.
• Exclusions: We do not accept cash or prepaid cards.

DRIVALIA falsely said I left keys on a tyre on a previous rental
DRIVALIA refused my request to collect a car saying that 3 years ago their computer records state that I left the keys on the car tyre for a car previous rental - I did not, this is a lie! DRIVALIA cancelled my booking immediately before collection time forcing me to rent a car elsewhere. This is highly unprofessional and slanderous behaviour.
Following this Trustpilot posting, Drivalia messaged me apologising and invited me to submit my views directly to their “Manage My Booking” for a comprehensive response. Then I received a message and link from Drivalia saying their Branch Manager had responded. Shockingly, Drivalia’s link only said “CANCELLED”.

Do not recommend
I rented a car with Drivalia through the Easyjet website as it was the recommended company when I booked my flights for G;asgow in May 2026.
I paid 272.96£ for the rental online and was expecting to pay 135£ for the second driver when I picked up the car. I did not mind that, it seemed overall an okay price for over a week's rental.
I received a few emails before my trip and all mentioned the fact that you need a credit card when you pick up the car, amongst other documents: "A Credit Card (physical card) in the main driver’s name and surname (no abbreviations) with a large enough limit to cover the excess (GBP1500.00)".
However, NOWHERE did it mention that without a credit card you would have to pay 350£ if you stick to one driver or 450£ if you want a second driver. Those fees are ON TOP on what I had already paid.
I was not the only person who had that issue as a couple in front of me at the car rental place was being explained the exact same. And they had to pay as well.
This is extorsion plain and simple. Had I known that I would have to pay almost the same amount AGAIN just to be able to actually rent the car, I would have sorted a credit card before my trip.
Again, NOWHERE did it mention the price you would have to pay ON TOP of what you had already paid if you did not have a credit card the day you pick up the car.
On top of that, the van that picks you up at the airport (the company is about 10-15min outside the airport in Glasgow), had to LEAVE my mom and sister AT THE AIRPORT as they did not account for the amount of people that needed transporting that morning.
The personel is not necessarily rude or unfriendly but frankly not helpul. At least on that day.
I DO NOT recommend renting a car through this company and will definitely not rent with them again.

Very easy rental and drop off process…
Very easy rental and drop off process and the car was great for a road trip up through the highlands. Connor at the Glasgow Airport made drop off a breeze and his shuttle ride was greatly appreciated.

Poor service - DO NOT USE
An OK service. The Car was nice, they got me driving quickly. In hindsight the car exchange was rushed, there was no explanation of the car condition check. I was not informed of the current mileage. When I went to pick up the car - the collecting staff member started checking the Vehicle without whilst I had nipped into the bathroom. He used a separate trip tracking metric on the display to look at the mileage (showing 513) as opposed to the actual vehicle total mileage. Then he asked me to sign a form agreeing to additional charges. I questioned them and he just said 'its ok, just sign'. With further questioning I got the same response. Another staff member came over to help - I had to literally do the maths on my phone, taking away my original mileage from the signed agreement away from vehicle current mileage to show that I had driven 296miles. I was entitled to 300. The charges were amended. I don't know if this was a mistake or deliberate. But after the fact, I see my condition report still has the erroneous figure on it...
In-addition to this the same staff member was speeding and was advised by my other passenger to stick to the speed-limit on our way back to Glasgow airport.
All in all I'm worried about the trust-worthiness and safety of the operation at Glasgow. I certainly won't be using your service again next time I travel. I hope this review informs other travelers and the wider Drivalia operation. I will be making a formal complaint, though the customer complaints procedure isn't easy to find and their callback system is terrible - call drops the moment they ring.
