Charged a penaly fine for parking (returning the car) to the car hire centre! It all perfectly legal and a scam. Do not use, this is an unethical corrupt business. I specifically asked about returning the car, they never mentioned it was pay to park, crooked.

Regarding the Canary Wharf branch
Regarding the Canary Wharf branch, I had an appointment for 5 p.m. At 5:46 a.m., the staff was still cleaning the windows of the car, which was far from spotless. Of course, after that, the lady behind the counter became very arrogant.

Great experience
Rented a car for the long weekend, and we had a great experience. We dealt with Raz in the office. She was super helpful and friendly. As was the guy who helped us find the car in the lot and who looked it over when we returned the car. The car was clean and the location was convenient.

Rented a car for the weekend and the experience couldn't have been better with Drivalia. The rental was much cheaper than other rental places I have used in London and I got a free upgrade on my car, pick up was stress free and drop off was super straight forward, and staff were friendly and helpful. I will 100% use them again.

I’ve been using Drivalia Canary Wartf…
I’ve been using Drivalia Canary Wartf branch and I can’t complain about anything. The service is spot on and their customer service is extremely helpfulfull.
Shout out to Raz and Emma that always welcome me with a big smile and are always ready to sort out any problems we may have.

I had a fantastic experience with Drivalia Car Hire Canary Wharf. From start to finish, the service was smooth, professional, and stress-free.
The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and efficient — they made the pick-up process quick and clearly explained everything I needed to know. The car was spotless, well-maintained, and exactly as described, which made my trip even more enjoyable.

Scammy tactics
This business appears structured to extract as much money as possible from customers. I booked a car through their website for Saturday to Sunday and received a confirmation email clearly stating the total amount due was approximately £45.
At check-in, I was told I had to pay an additional £40 because the branch is closed on Sundays and an out-of-hours charge applies. There was no mention of this fee in my confirmation email or during the booking process. When I pointed that out, I was told I should have “checked the terms and conditions” along with the condescending remark, “When you book a hotel, do you not read the T&Cs?”
No effort was made to resolve the issue or honour the confirmed price. I was simply told to either pay the surcharge or forfeit my booking.
This is deceptive, unprofessional, and extremely poor service. I will never rent from this company again

Excellent service all round and Hamza…
Excellent service all round and Hamza was extremely helpful as I arrived quite a bit early as usually on a motorbike so not sure how long it would take to get there in a cab with traffic etc. so I would rather get there early and was happy to wait, but he was ready to assist with getting me sorted with the car straight away. Brand new car great price and I will be renting from Drivalia again when I need 4 wheels.

Worst car hire ever
Avoid! Rented an automatic car but they only had a manual one. Made me wait for an hour to actually get the car. No apologies. Then the car showed tyre pressure warnings every 5 mins. 2 customers before me were also very angry. They even had a sticker on the counter with the complaints email address on it... Worst car hire ever.

Do not recommend…
Do not recommend if you are dealing with Hamza. We arrived 2 hours later than our estimated pick up slot and he told us we were too late to pick up the car (it was actually given away!) and we were told we could not get a refund either. Completely laughable policy and awful treatment of customers. Hamza does not understand simple customer service - we asked why we were not informed of this policy beforehand and he said “because you didn’t ask.” Everyone else working there is nicer and more accommodating, but if you’re dealing with Hamza I would avoid.

To ensure we can manage vehicle availability for all our customers, we adhere to the following policy:
• Grace Period: We hold bookings for a maximum of 2 hours during branch opening hours. If you are going to be late, we ask that you notify the branch of your estimated arrival time.
• Vehicle Hold: We can only hold a specific booked vehicle for a maximum of 1 hour past the booked collection time. After this point, clients may be offered an alternative vehicle category (subject to availability), and charges may apply.
• Failure to Collect: Customers who fail to arrive on the day of collection are marked as a ‘No Show’ and charged up to 3 days rental. Please note that prepaid bookings are non-refundable.

I booked through Carrentals app pickup…
I booked through Carrentals app pickup saturday return sunday. I paid everything and on arrival they said i have to pay an extra £40 to deliver as they are out of office hours. Carrentals support was surprised and talked to them saying they cant be open on their app and then say theyre closed. And they will be investigating. I hope I help anyone avoid getting scammed especially when you have weekend plans and might be easier to pay the scam fee than ruin your plans. Also a guy at reception handled it badly as i gave him the phone to talk to Carrental support but he refused since he felt like im calling him out. The lady in hijab was more professional and she should be in charge really.
