Going in to Dreams in One Stop Perry Barr my wife and I were assisted by a very lovely lady called Jay.
I can't praise Jay enough, she was extremely helpful and provided a brilliant service! Very lovely to talk to.

Dreams mattress is the best of one every corner/

I popped Into Dreams on boxing day as was looking for a new bed. I previously bought a lovely pinewood bed from Dreams back In 2007 and it was still in a sleek condition but as I wanted a change in bed with storage I knew Dreams would be the best place to purchase as there services are spot on and the staff are very welcoming and polite and I've never had any Issues with them. So I placed my order for a bed,bedside drawers and a mattress and the lovely member of staff that served me named Jay was brilliant. She attended me as soon as I walked into the store with my little daughter who also eyed up a rainbow bed there. Jay entered my details on the screen to see which mattresses best suited my needs then I tried them out and headed over to discuss my purchases. She followed the processes promptly over a lovely hot chocolate and her manager named Phil offered me some biscuits even he was a lovely gentleman. I had my goods delivered on the 30th Dec
2023,so it was a quick turn around considering it was holiday period and there would be short staffed everywhere. The drivers came into my property to assess where the goods will be going and the driver named Scott he was polite and said the headboard will not go up the stairs I have. I have dog leg stairs in a terrace house. They tried but I do feel they could have tried abit more harder but he did say we'll get in touch with customer service and let them know so they can call you back and go through other options ie reselect a different bed with a lower headboard etc. The goods were taken back,i asked if they can leave the mattress but they refused and took everything back. I didn't get any calls from customer services but I also understood that with the bank holidays the call back time would be delayed. So on new years day I finally got through to customer services and explained the situation and then I asked for a redelivery because I felt the drivers could of put in a bit more effort into taking the headboard up the stairs. I also made it clear to customer services that if there's any damage to the property its ok and I wouldn't hold Dreams accountable for anything. I asked if the headboard can be taken out the packaging. They sed no once its taken out the package Dreams will not take it back. So I was in a dilemma but I also felt it would go through. The 2nd delivery was booked for the 9th Jan and when I went into store in perry Barr Phil served me as Jay wasn't in. I explained the situation to Phil and he was gutted,he advised maybe reselect and go for something thinner and lower maybe but my heart was set on the Navy Octavia bed. So then the redelivery was made on the 9th. The driver that turned up this time he's name was Dwayne,and what can I say about him. He was so rude,walked in and looked at my stairs and said your headboard will not go up them stairs. He was talking over me,he was rude,I felt intimated in my own house the way he spoke. He claimed that it was the 3rd time Dreams are delivering to me and I corrected him and said no this is the 2nd time. He wouldn't give me a chance to think and speak, he had the blade on he's hand and kept saying shall I open the packaging? I said no hold on but he said don't teach us our jobs, he's been doing that job for 9 years. I kept calmed and didn't react. I said can you not half assemble the bed of course we won't sleep once the headboard is in place. He said no Dreams shouldn't be advising you this and nor should the staff in store do they not understand health and safety and Manuel handling. Phil mentioned a person named dave saying if the drivers can't take the headboard upstairs then ask the driver if they can leave it downstairs whilst I arrange a call out with dave to see if he can take it up. I don't think Phil said anything wrong. That Dwayne driver I felt he wanted to rush open the package, not try and say delivery failed on top I can't return the goods then I'm stuck. Dwayne's tone of speaking was bang out of order,he needs to be given training on how to speak with customers for starters and to top it off he turned around and said the stairs you have unfortunately you won't be able to have nice beds up there. Imagine how that feels. I felt awful and then I thought to myself I've never had an issu3 with Dreams and the way he spoke I felt put off from giving business to Dreams. Customer service still didn't get in touch with me,I was proactive and kept trying to get through to them. I finally managed to get things sorted in store and again it was Jay who went above and beyond and she apologised to me,I said no Jay please you don't apologise its not your fault in any of this. Phil was there too snd He did the same. Managed to keep the mattress afterwards as some where down the line I felt guilty and felt obliged to keep as I would incur a 20%charge if cancelling and nobody told me about that when placing the order.

A personalised service! You cannot order a mattress online but it has to be tried out. The colleague was completely focused on me as a customer.

The staff were really helpful and knowledgable and helped me to find what I needed in my price range.

I've had my bed for about three weeks now and am really enjoying it.

This is an ottoman bed but is hard to lift up and even harder to pull back down. The bed itself is very heavy and needed 2 men to push it a few inches across the room.
Lovely bed but would only recommend for the very able bodied.

From the moment I stepped into the store I felt at home. It was a truly amazing experience

I think I may have the wrong mattress. It seems softer than the one I tried in the store

Nikki was excellent, helped us choose the best mattress for us and advised on oth r items without being pushy to upsell.

She was attentive and helpful while delivery was sorted and answered all our questions. Highly recommend

The mattress is comfortable and I enjoy sleeping on it. I also have lots of space in the ottomon to store things. I am very happy with my purchase.

Great experience - staff were helpful, knowledgeable, kind and generous with their time - didn't experience hard sell and ended up purchasing more than I'd originally intended.
