I made a call to Domestic and General explaining my washing machine was not spinning at the end of the cycle, the customer service staff took my details etc offered me an engineers call the same day. Excellent service, the engineer was professional and talked me through the problem which he quickly solved for me. Thank you all of you for your help

Excellent level of service. Martin the Bora engineer was extremely polite and helpful, answering all of my questions. Also very knowledgeable about all Bora products.

⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointing Experience. Serious Concerns About Honesty and Integrity.
I would strongly advise anyone dealing with Domex, particularly in relation to an LG warranty claim, to be extremely cautious.
My experience with this company has left me with serious concerns about their honesty, integrity and impartiality.
During my dispute with LG, I encountered what I believe were significant inconsistencies in Domex’s reporting. In my opinion, their account of the situation appeared to change in a way that supported LG’s position rather than accurately reflecting what had taken place.
What concerns me most is that Domex receives work from manufacturers such as LG. This raises a serious question in my mind about how independent and impartial their assessments really are when there is a dispute between a customer and the manufacturer providing them with business.
I would expect an engineer’s report to be accurate, consistent and based solely on technical findings, regardless of who is paying for the work. Unfortunately, my experience has left me with very little confidence that this was the case.
My advice: Do not simply accept what Domex puts in a report. Get everything in writing, keep your own evidence and consider obtaining an independent assessment.
Based on my experience, I would never trust this company again or recommend their services. Extremely disappointing, and I believe customers deserve to know about these concerns before relying on their reports.
UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW:
I obtained audio recordings of telephone conversations with Domex through an official information request.
In one of these recordings, a Domex advisor clearly states that the engineer’s original report was amended by a supervisor who did not even attend my property to inspect the appliance.
This raises serious questions about the accuracy and integrity of the report, particularly given that it was used to support LG’s position in my dispute.
I have the recording as evidence, so this is not simply my word against theirs.
If Domex are genuinely concerned about putting things right, I would suggest they listen to the recorded conversation, investigate why the engineer’s report was amended by someone who never attended the property, and then get back to me with a proper explanation.

Having reviewed our records, we can confirm that our last attendance took place on 6th February 2026, during which our engineer inspected your appliance following a reported cooling failure.
Our engineer's assessment identified a refrigerant system failure, specifically a blockage within the capillary tube preventing the correct circulation of refrigerant. A system valve was replaced to assist with the diagnostic process, and it was established that the appliance required a compressor. However, due to the internal blockage and sealed system failure, the appliance was deemed technically unrepairable in accordance with technical guidance, and replacement was recommended.
We would like to reassure you that Domex takes the accuracy and integrity of our technical assessments extremely seriously. Our engineers' findings are based on their inspections and technical assessments, regardless of whether the work is carried out on behalf of a manufacturer or a private customer.
We appreciate that you may disagree with the findings, particularly given your ongoing dispute with LG. However, we do not agree with the suggestion that our reports are influenced by manufacturers to support a particular outcome.
We are sorry that your experience has left you with such a negative impression of Domex. Should you have any specific evidence or concerns regarding the accuracy of our engineer's findings, we would welcome the opportunity to review these further.

Engineer was really professional and removed and reinstalled the fitted/stacked tumble dryer without question. Whilst other companies seem to expect the item to be disconnected and in the middle of the room! Price was excellent and the repair warranted. Thank you.

Great customer service and excellent communication
The communication from Domex on behalf of bora was excellent. I was informed that a spare part was on order thus a bit of a delay. Once the part was in I was offered slots to suit my schedule.
On the day Martin called to let me know he would be here in half an hour which was very much appreciated. He was polite, courteous and professional. I was impressed with the service overall.
