I complained about the service and ser4viice area at Dobbies before, without a reply, so why are you asking me again?!

Very easy to find the plants I wanted, love the layout style with “cottage garden” as an option. Once at the till, I didn’t have to move anything she found all the pieces in a book when the price tag was missing. Amazing experience with very helpful staff!

Lovely layout plenty of choice and friendly staff

Came to use our free monthly hot drink allowance and browsed as usual.
My wife likes to buy dog treats for our daughters spaniel, the JRP ones so she took various ones to the checkout and for the third time we have visited upon checking the price of one priced on the bar code label at £2.20 were told it was £6.00plus and that the item had been put in the wrong place even though the barcode matched the item. If the lady on the till had not been gossiping to one of her colleagues for a considerable time whilst we were looking round maybe she could have ensured the items were priced correctly. Very disappointing!!

We are very pleased with the service at Dobbies York. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The products are of good quality. The only problem
we have every time we come is the free coffees.Our card never registers the
free coffees. We end up getting them anyway but we are left feeling a bit
embarrassed . Overall we enjoy our visits and look forward to coming.

Lovely garden centre and staff are friendly and helpful but quite expensive when compared to many others.

I visited Dobbies with my daughter, I was looking to buy a couple of bushes and some fushia plants for myself and a neighbour. One of your staff helped point me in the direction of the fushia plants. Everything was set out in good order. When at the checkout I was asked if I was a member, I was not the guy on the check out explained everything and I signed up. I saved over £6 on my plant purchases and we went to the cafe inside where we received our two free hot drinks. That equated to the £12 membership fee which I had just bought. So now I can go in every month and have two hot drinks for free and receive 10% off any purchase of plants. This is going to be a nice monthly outing for myself and my daughter. Staff were all lovely and friendly too.

Many lovely plants available & bargains on bulb sales. Sadly no decaff coffee 8n the restaurant!

Coffee shop has a good choice of food but service a little slow

Long queues at tills, caused, yet again by product not having the appropriate bar code. The problem was compounded when the other cashier left their till ( and customers) to assist his colleague.

As usual everything fine, lovely bacon butty,staff happy and cheerful

Lots of inspiration for the home, garden and gifts......with a stop off for coffee too!

Dobbies is a lovely spot for a bit of retail/garden therapy and coffee and cake! Highly recommended :)

Garden centre had new lines and looked very organised and inviting.
Plants looked healthy.

Cheerful helpful staff at tills but didn’t seem to be any staff on shop floor.

Friendly staff, good range of products and the store is very clean and tidy.
The one slight negative at the York branch is that there are no main meal options on their menu.

We used the café which was clean and well staffed. The food was good quality and we appreciated the free coffees with the Dobbies membership.
We purchased some seed potato's for growing in bags and were happy that they were sold separately as we normally end up with more than we require.
We also wanted some patio vegetable seeds to grow and were impressed with the selection of miniature vegetable plant seeds on offer.
Overall a good experience.
