Well planned garden centre and staff always helpful .

the kind lady at the till got me a dobbies card & te marmalade was reduced

the garden centre is very clean and tidy
plants well looked after and presented
a joy to browse around.

Brill service, really chatty Xmas tree man. Excellent coffee.

Since being taken over by Dobbies the plant prices have increased quite a lot and there are no bargains in restaurant. The price increase was quite a big thing especially for more senior people. However the staff are friendly and helpful

The prices of plants are just too high. I can get equally good quality plants in local supermarket outlets so much cheaper.

Everything is laid out well and they are very helpful. The items can be a bit expensive though.

The staff at Dobbies in Hayle are always so helpful.

There is a lack of choice in the pet section for cat food, and this has been the situation for quite some time. Also lack of suitable hedgehog food. There is only one in situ, a cardboard box with no inner package and seems to be like a box of sawdust that spills everywhere when opening the box, and the hedgehogs didn’t eat it. I have to go to Petsathome or on line suppliers for packages of dry kibble and semi moist granules. I also buy Royal Canin cat food and other brands and cat litter (gel crystals) elsewhere.

Everywhere was clean & staff were very friendly. But there was no hot food due to staff sickness, which was a shame as we’d hoped to have brunch.

I met up with an old friend recently in Dobbies, Hayle....for a coffee and cake in the cafe, to celebrate my 'no more chemotherapy ' after a gruelling five months treatment at Treliske Hospital, and for a mooch in the garden centre.We had our refreshments and a healing catch up, followed by a look around outside and in the shop....Time ticked by and we had an enjoyable morning. I bought a hanging basket, something I was hesitant about doing in early summer, as I didn't know if I would make it through this year.
I was horrified and upset to come home today and find a parking fine for £100..(£60 if paid promptly ). I know I should have noticed the parking signs, but quite honestly, my mind was elsewhere. I have frequented the garden centre, since before it was Wyevale and parking was not an issue. I never intended to outstay my welcome but obviously I did. I will pay the fine of £60, but it will be a long time before I visit Dobbie's again.
What a shame that local people are penalised for staying longer than they should, whilst spending money.
My issue is with the parking situation especially as I was on the premises, in the cafe and in the garden centre.
My coffee cake was delicious .....and my viola hanging basket is healthy and a delight!

Excellent service in the restaurant cake and coffee were delicious pleased with the service from the shop the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and friendly managed to purchase what we were looking for and picked up a bargain.

This was not the first time we went for lunch to find due to staff illness only cakes and drinks available. We reluctantly stayed and had scones and drinks.
The scones were not nice dry, too much baking powder and dry and tasteless. We decided this was the final straw after visiting your cafe most weeks for many months, during which time there has been a notice saying chef required. Your menu is so limited surely a cook could cope with making sandwiches and jacket potato?
You are ruining what used to be a good cafe with various hot meals, so much so that we wondered if you wanted to close it down.
Regrettably we will be going elsewhere for lunch. For pity sake pull your finger out and get your staffing levels sorted out and bring back a better menu, ie homemade chilli could be served with rice, chips or jaket potatoes not hard!

The service I got from your staff at Lelant Garden center was second to none. Very informative and helpful. That`s one of the reasons I signed up to become a Member.
